The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has conducted IBPS RRB Clerk prelims exam. The prelims exam was conducted for candidates who have registered for the exam. A total of 4567 vacancies have been announced for IBPS RRB Clerk. The overall difficulty level of the IBPS RRB Clerk paper held on August 14 was easy.

IBPS RRB Clerk prelims cut off will remain high as the exam was easy. The cutoff is expected to be around 75 for General category. IBPS RRB Clerk prelims exam comprises two papers-Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. The total marks allotted to the paper was 80 and duration of the test was 45 minutes. Shiksha reported live from one of the IBPS RRB Clerk exam centres in Gurgaon. The feedback shared by the students on the difficulty level of the exam is given below.

Preeti Gupta said, "The overall difficulty level of the paper was easy. In Maths, there were two DI of 5 marks each, 10 questions were asked from simplification and approximation and the rest of the questions were from Arithmetic. The Reasoning covered all the topics given in the syllabus. There were questions from Blood Relation, Puzzles, Meaningful word, arrangement, syllogism."

Q:   What is AFCAT Exam Pattern?

A:
AFCAT exam pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam such as number of sections, weightage of topics, time duration, total marks, marking scheme, etc. AFCAT exam is divided into online test and AFSB interview. Besides AFCAT candidates who applies for the technical branch are required to appear for the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT). AFCAT test comprises different sections such as General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English . Numerical Ability, Military Reasoning, and Aptitude test. EKT carries questions from Mechanical, Computer Science, and Electrical & Electronics. AFCAT carries a total of 100 questions whereas, EKT carries 50 questions. The total marks allotted to AFCAT are 300 whereas, EKT carries 150 marks. The duration of AFCAT exam is two hours whereas EKT is held for 45 minutes. Both AFCAT and EKT is held in online mode and the language of the question paper is English.

A:

IBPS RRB exam pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam such as marking scheme, total marks, number of sections, duration of exam, etc.. Before beginning with the preparation, candidates must go through IBPS RRB exam pattern thoroughly. As per IBPS RRB exam pattern, the prelims exam is conducted for the posts of Officers Scale 1 and Office Assistant (Multipurpose). The total marks allotted to the test are 80. The mains exam of IBPS RRB is conducted for the posts of Officers Scale 1 and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and carries 200 marks. The single online exam is conducted for the posts of Officers Scale 2 & 3 . The Interview carries 100 marks and is conducted for the posts of Officers Scale 1, Officers Scale 2 & 3. There is no  interview for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose).

A:

IBPS RRB Clerk exam pattern is such that it is divided into prelims and Mains exams. IBPS RRB PO exam pattern is such that it is divided into prelims exam, Mains exam and interview. IBPS RRB SO exam pattern comprises single online exam and interview. The exam pattern is explained below:

Preliminary Exam
  • This is an online test with objective-type questions
  • The exam typically includes sections such as Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and/or Quantitative Aptitude
  • The time duration is usually 45 minutes
  • The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 80
Main Exam
  • The main exam is also an online test with objective-type questions
  • The Mains exam comprises sections such as Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, and Computer Knowledge
  • The Mains exam comprises 2 hours
  • Total marks allotted to the Mains exam are 200
Single Online Exam
The Single Online Exam is conducted for Officers Scale 2 and 3. The single online exam for Officers Scale 2 carries questions from Reasoning, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Finance Awareness, English/Hindi Language, Computer Knowledge. The single online exam for Officers Scale 2 comprises questions from Reasoning, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Finance Awareness, English/Hindi Language, Computer Knowledge, Professional Knowledge. Total marks allotted to the single online exam are 200.
Interview
Interview is conducted for Officers Scale 1, 2 and 3. Total marks allotted to interview are 100.

Nisha Bharati said, "The paper was easy and the question level was not difficult. Since the paper was easy, the cutoff will be high."

Anu said, "The difficulty level of the paper was easy. Quant questions were asked DI, simplification, arithmetic, etc. In Reasoning, questions were asked from blood relation, puzzles, series (number and mixed series), etc."

The quant section was easy to moderate. Around 15 simplification questions were asked. The level of the reasoning was easy too.

Q:   What is section-wise weightage in AFCAT exam?

A:
AFCAT exam comprises sections such as General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English Numerical Ability, Military Reasoning, and Aptitude test. Out of the 100 questions, Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test carries 35 questions, Verbal ability in English carries 30 questions, Numerical Ability carries 15 questions, General Awareness carries 20 questions. The Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test section carries a total of 105 marks, Verbal ability in English carries a total of 90 marks, Numerical ability section carries a total of 45 marks, General Awareness section carries a total of 60 marks. Q:   What is AFCAT marking scheme?

A:
AFCAT marking scheme is prescribed by the examination authority. The marking scheme highlights the marks that candidates score for correct answers and marks deducted for wrong answers. The total marks allotted to AFCAT exam are 300. AFCAT marking scheme is given below: For correct answers, candidates score three marks. For example: Reasoning section carries 35 questions and candidates have answered 20 questions correctly. They will score 60 marks For every wrong answer, one mark will be deducted. For example: Candidates have attempted 18 questions, out of which, 15 questions are correct and three questions are incorrect. The score of candidates will be 15x3-3=42. The examination authority does not deduct marks for unattempted questions.

Q:   What is IBPS RRB marking scheme?

A:

Scores obtained by candidates in IBPS RRB exam are calculated based on the marking scheme. The marking scheme is prescribed by the examination authority. IBPS RRB marking scheme is given below:

Preliminary Exam:
  • Each correct answer typically carries 1 mark
  • For every incorrect answer, there is a penalty of 0.25 marks (1/4th of the mark assigned to that question)
  • Unanswered questions do not attract any penalty

Main Exam

  • The marking scheme for the main exam is generally similar to the preliminary exam, where each correct answer is awarded 1 mark.
  • There is typically a penalty for wrong answers, which is around 0.25 marks (1/4th of the mark assigned to that question)
  • There are no negative marking for unanswered questions

IBPS RRB Clerk Shift 3 Exam Analysis 2022

The overall paper of IBPS RRB Clerk exam held in shift 3 was easy. The level of quantitative aptitude was easy. Maximum questions were asked from Simplification and Data Interpretation (DI). The Arithmetic questions were asked from Boat & Streams, Partnership, Percentage, CI&SI, Pipe and Cistern, Profit and Loss, etc. The level of reasoning was easy. There were a total of 5 sets of Puzzles and Seating Arrangements. Apart from the Puzzle and Seating Arrangements, questions were asked from syllogism, inequality, alphanumeric series, etc. An attempt of 67-69 questions are considered as good.
