INET Eligibility Criteria 2022: Indian Navy offers a good career opportunity to candidates who wish to join the defence forces. Candidates can join Indian Navy as Officers, Sailors and Civilians.  The Indian Navy conducts INET for various branches of Indian Navy's (Permanent Service Commission) and SSC (Short Service Commission). To apply for INET 2022, it is vital to know INET eligibility criteria to understand the age limit, nationality, qualification and physical standards required for the exam. INET Eligibility Criteria 2022

INET eligibility criteria such as gender, age and educational qualification vary as per the posts/branches. To apply for INET 2022, candidates must have completed BE/BTech in any discipline. The age of candidates should be between 19 to 24 years. 

INET Eligibility Criteria for (Executive Branch)

This branch includes SSC Naval Armament Inspection Cadre, SSC ATC, SSC Observer, SSC Pilot (MR) & SSC Pilot (Other than MR), SSC Logistics, SSC X (IT). INET eligibility criteria for these departments are given below:

SSC Naval Armament Inspection Cadre (NAIC)

Both male and female candidates can apply for this post. Candidates must have completed BE/BTech with 60% in any of the following subjects:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics, Micro Electronics, Instrumentation, Electronics and Communication, Electronics and Telecommunication, Instrumentation and Control, Control Engineering
  • Production, Industrial Production, Industrial Engineering
  • Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Instrumentation
  • Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Application
  • Metallurgy, Metallurgical, Chemical, Material Science
  • Aero Space, Aeronautical Engineering
  • Post Graduate degree in Electronics, Physics

Also, candidates should have minimum 60 per cent aggregate marks in Class 10 and 12 standards. They must also have a minimum 60 per cent in English.

SSC ATC, SSC Observer, SSC Pilot (MR) & SSC Pilot (Other than MR)

Both men and women candidates can apply. However, for SSC Pilot (Other than MR) only men candidates are eligible. Candidates must have completed BE/BTech in any discipline with 60 per cent. Candidates must have 60 per cent aggregate marks in Class 10 and 12 and 60 per cent in English.

SSC Logistics

  • Both male and female candidates can apply for this post. Candidates must be BE/BTech in any discipline with first class from AICTE recognised institute/university. Or
  • MBA with first class or
  • BSc/BCom/BSc (IT) with first class with a PG diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Material Management. Or
  • MCA/MSc (IT) with first class

SSC X (IT)

  • BE/BTech from AICTE recognised institute/university with minimum 60% marks in Computer Science/Computer Engg/IT
  • BSc (IT) with first class
  • MSc (Computer / IT) with first Class
  • MTech (Computer Science) with first Class
  • MCA with first class

INET 2022 Eligibility Criteria for (Technical Branch)

INET eligibility criteria for Technical branch for SSC Engineering Branch (General Service (GS)), SSC Electrical Branch (General Service (GS)) is given below:

SSC Engineering Branch (General Service (GS))

Only men candidates can apply for this post. Candidates must have completed BE/BTech with minimum 60 per cent marks in streams given below:

  • Mechnical
  • Marine
  • Instrumentation
  • Production
  • Aeronautical
  • Industrial Engineering & Management
  • Control Engg
  • Aero Space
  • Automobiles
  • Metallurgy
  • Mechatronics
  • Instrumentation & Control

SSC Electrical Branch (General Service (GS))

Candidates must have completed BE/BTech with 60 per cent in streams such as Electrical, Electronics, Tele Communication, Electronics & Communication, Power Engineering, Power Electronics, Electronics & Instrumentation, Instrumentation & Control and Instrumentation.

INET Eligibility Criteria 2022 for Education Branch

  • Only men can apply for PC Education
  • Candidates must have first class in MSc (Maths/Operational Research) with Physics in B Sc. Or,
  • First Class in MSc (Physics/Nuclear Physics) with Maths in BSc. Or,
  • First Class in MSc (Meteorology/Oceanology/ Atmospheric Science). Or,
  • BE/B Tech with 60 per cent marks (Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Technology//Information Systems/Computer Engineering). Or,
  • BE / B Tech with 60 per cent marks (Electronics & Communication/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electrical). Or,
  • BE / B Tech with minimum 60 per cent marks in Mechanical Engineering.

Candidates applying for this branch should note that they must have scored a minimum of 60 per cent in Class 10 and 12 and 60 per cent in English in the same standard.

INET Eligibility Criteria: Medical Standards

All candidates recommended by SSB will have to undergo medicals as per the regulation. There is no relaxation in medical standards on any ground. Relaxations in height are given to candidates having domicile of specific regions.
