The SSC CHSL Tier-II exam 2019 was conducted on February 14 across the nation. The SSC CHSL Tier-II exam is a descriptive exam testing the essay writing and letter/application writing skills. The SSC CHSL Tier-II exam is conducted across the designated exam centres. The candidates can write the essay and application in either English or Hindi.
The SSC provided the name of the sender and receiver for the letter-writing purpose. The SSC provided these things because of the UFM guidelines. This year the candidates will have to write the given names and addresses only and hence there will be no UFM issues in the copies as faced by various candidates in the previous years.
SSC CHSL Tier-II 2019- Essay Topic
The SSC CHSL Tier-II exam 2021 asked the following essay topic in the exam.
Freedom of speech in India - Constitutional provisions and public debates-250 words
This essay topic requires constitutional provisions and public debates. The candidates should write Articles numbers and the gist of the articles specifically related to the freedom of speech. In the second part, the candidates can give the example of recent Supreme Court decision related to the freedom of speech.
The essay was asked from the Indian Polity domain and for most of the candidate, the essay was easy to write. The essay demanded the understanding of the Constitutional provisions and how the Supreme Court of India interprets it and how an average person perceives the freedom of speech. The word limit was 250 words and most of the candidates were able to write more than that.
SSC CHSL Tier-II 2019- Letter Topic
Assuming that you are Suresh Seema a resident of Dev Nagar, New Delhi. The candidates were to assume that he or she was an activist for the Tribal community and the candidates were asked to write a formal letter to the district level authority SDM, Bastar District, Chhatisgarh for the redressal of the problem faced by the community.
Candidates were provided with the complete address with pin code. The candidates were expected to use it in their formal letter. The candidates need to write the letter in the prescribed format. The candidates who will write the formal letter with proper formal language can score better in the letter writing.
The essay topic and the letter subject were not very difficult and they were on the expected lines. The candidates who prepared well for the essay and letter writing can score better in the exam. Most of the candidates are expected to clear the tier-II level.
The candidates were to report at the examination centres one hour before time and with the declaration provided by the SSC for the exam. The candidates will be provided with the Answer writing copy having 12 sheets. The 10 sheets will be available for writing purpose. There will be 8 sheets having 14 rows and 4 columns. The total of 56 (14x4) boxes will be provided and the candidates need to write one word in each of the boxes. One sheet will be having 11 rows and 4 columns having 44 boxes (11x4) and one sheet having 10 rows and 4 columns with a total of 40 boxes (10x4).
