SSC GD Eligibility Criteria 2025: Candidates should be aware of the detailed eligibility criteria before submitting the SSC GD online form 2025. Candidates should fill out the application only when they fulfil all the criteria mentioned in the official notification because the candidature of the candidate remains provisional till the final document verification by the Commission's officials. In case there is any deviance from the SSC GD Constable eligibility 2025, the candidature can be cancelled even at the last stage. The SSC GD application form 2025 will be available from September 5, 2024 onwards.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) prescribes the detailed SSC GD Constable eligibility criteria 2025 for candidates seeking recruitment through the General Duty (GD) Constable exam. Candidates should know all the components of SSC GD eligibility 2025 so that they can fill out the application without any hesitation. SSC GD 2025 Eligibility: Nationality/Citizenship

To fulfil the SSC GD eligibility criteria 2025, a candidate must be a citizen of India. It may be noted here that a person of Indian origin, subject of Nepal or Bhutan is not eligible to apply for the exam. Candidates must understand that the SSC GD vacancy 2025 is released state/UT-wise manner; therefore, a candidate must submit domicile/PRC against his/her state/UT, informs the official website.

SSC GD Eligibility 2025: Educational Qualification

Candidates who have cleared Class 10 from a recognised board/university as of the prescribed date are eligible to apply for SSC GD recruitment 2025. It may be noted that candidates should be able to prove, by documentary evidence, that their Class 10 result was declared on or before the cutoff date prescribed by SSC.

Q:   What is the age limit for SSC GD?

A:

Candidates must be of minimum 18 years of age in order to be eligible for SSC GD exam. The upper SSC GD age limit is 23 years. However, the Commission provides a relaxation in the upper age limit for all the reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST, ExS and others. Q:   Who is eligible for SSC GD Vacancy 2025?

A:

Candidates who have passed Class 10 exam or equivalent from a recognised board can apply for the SSC GD Vacancy 2025. Candidates should be between 18 to 23 years of age to be eligible for the SSC GD Constable 2025. The Commission can cancel the candidature of the candidate at any point if he or she do not conform to any of the eligibility condition. Candidates should go through the SSC GD Constable eligibility criteria 2025 carefully before applying online for the exam.

Q:   What is the SSC GD physical requirement in terms of height and weight?

A:
Candidates selected for SSC GD constable must pass the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) or Physical Standard Test (PST). Therefore, the SSC GD applicant must meet the following criteria to be eligible for PET or PST: (a) Height Requirements: 1. The Male candidates need to have minimum height of 170 cm. 2. The Female candidates need to have minimum height of 157 cm. (b) Weight Requirements: According to medical standards, the candidate's weight should be proportionate to his or her height and age. Candidates who have not acquired the essential educational qualification as on the stipulated date will not be eligible and need not apply. 

Note: All the candidates who are called for Document Verification will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets, Provisional Certificates etc. for completion of Matriculation in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before the cut-off date, failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by the Commission.

SSC GD Constable Age Limit 2025

Candidates should be aged between 18 and 23 years as of January 1 of the year SSC GD notification 2025 is released. However, the commission provides relaxation in the upper age limit to reserved category candidates as mentioned below.

Note: Only the date of birth and name as recorded in Class 10 or equivalent certificate will be accepted by Staff Selection Commission for determining the age and name of candidates.

Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment on the civil side under the Central Government in Group-C posts regularly after availing of the reservation benefits given to them for their re-employment are not eligible for reservation benefits under the Ex-Serviceman category for the SSC GD exam. However, they are eligible for age relaxation, states the official website.

Q:   What is the minimum qualification to apply for the SSC GD exam?

A:
Candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognised Board/ University to apply for the SSC GD exam. Candidates who have not acquired the essential educational qualification as on the stipulated date will not be eligible to fill the SSC GD application form. The result of requisite educational qualification should be declared by the Board/ Institute/ University by the specified date.

Q:   How many candidates qualified for SSC GD Physical Test 2024?

A:

The SSC GD result 2024 was released on July 10, 2024 shortlisting the candidates for the PET/ PST (Physical) test. As per the official result notice PDF, a total of 3,51,176 candidates have been shortlisted for SSC GD Physical Test 2024. These candidates will now be called for the SSC GD PET/ PST exam by the CRPF. The SSC GD Physical admit card 2024 will be released soon.

Q:   Can a 10th passed student apply for SSC GD exam?

A:
Yes, a Class 10th pass candidate can apply for the SSC GD exam. The SSC GD educational qualification is Matric/ High School/ Class 10th. However, candidates appearing in Class 10th exam are not eligible to apply for SSC GD recruitment.

Q:   Is it mandatory to appear for all stages of SSC GD exam?

A:

Yes, it is mandatory to appear for all the stages of SSC GD exam- Computer-Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) and Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME). Candidates need to qualify the SSC GD CBE by obtaining the cut off marks to get shortlisted for the next round, that is, PET/ PST followed by the DME/ DV round. 

Q:   Which forces can I join after passing the SSC GD Constable exam?

A:
The SSC GD Constable Exam is conducted to recruit constables for general duty GD in multiple forces. You can join the following Central Armed Police Forces after passing the SSC GD for Constable (General Duty): 1. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) 2. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 3. Sashastra Seem Bal (SSB) 4. Secretariat Security Force (SSF) 5. Border Security Force (BSF) 6. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) 7. National Investigation Agency (NIA) 8. You can also join the Assam Rifles for the post of rifleman (general duty). The SSC GD pay scale is Level 3 and ranges from Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100.   • It may be noted that SSC GD age relaxation is not valid for candidates who are sons, daughters or dependents of ex-servicemen.
  • The period of "Call up Service" of an Ex-Serviceman in the Armed Forces shall also be treated as service rendered in the Armed Forces for age relaxation.

SSC GD 2025 Physical Eligibility: Chest Requirement for Male Candidates

Male candidates need to have the Chest measurement as per the following measurements:

  • Minimum Un-expanded Chest - 80 cms
  • Minimum expansion required - 5 cms.

SSC GD Physical Running Time 2025

SSC GD exam recruits the candidates for the CAPFs and hence it requires the candidates to undergo the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) /Physical Standard Test(PST). Candidates need to clear the following SSC GD Physical 2025 tests, that is, race in the given time limit:

The conduct of PET/ PST and DME/ RME will be the sole responsibility of the CAPFs. The Commission will not entertain any representation/ appeal/ RTI Applications/ CPGRAMs against the decision of the PST/ PET and DME/ RME Board.

Pregnancy Guidelines in SSC GD Physical Exam 2025

A women candidate, who as a result of tests is found to be pregnant of 12 weeks standing or over, shall be declared temporarily unfit and appointment is held in abeyance until the confinement is over.  The vacancy against which a woman candidate was selected will be kept reserved for her. She will be re-examined for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) six weeks after the date of confinement, subject to the production of a medical certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner. If she is found fit, she may be appointed to the post kept reserved for and allowed the benefit of seniority under the instructions of the government, as amended from time to time.

SSC GD 2025: Minimum Qualifying Marks for CBE

The candidates need to score the minimum qualifying marks in the Computer-Based Exam (CBE) of the SSC GD Constable 2025 exam. Candidates scoring the below-mentioned marks (without adding bonus marks to NCC certificate holders) will be considered eligible for shortlisting to the next stage i.e. PET/ PST:

SSC GD 2025: Incentives to NCC Certificate Holders:

Candidates having the certificate in any of the branches of NCC will be incentivised as per the following scale:

NCC ‘B’ Certificate 3% of the maximum marks of the examination
NCC ‘A’ Certificate 2% of the maximum marks of the examination

Hi Milaram mula, the age relaxation for OBC (Other Backward Classes) category candidates in SSS GD exam is 3 years. They can get selected even if they have 3 years more aged than the general category students as they have 3 years age relaxation.
