SSC GD PET/ PST 2024: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the nodal agency of CAPF, conducted the SSC GD Physical Test 2024 along with the DV/ DME and RME from September 23, 2024 to November 9, 2024. Candidates who cleared the online exam and made it into the SSC GD merit list 2024 are called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) round. The SSC GD 2024 PET/ PST or physical test was conducted to test the physical eligibility of candidates who cleared the CBE. The SSC GD result 2024 of the CBE was announced on July 10, 2024, along with the merit list. More than 3.5 lakh candidates were shortlisted for the PET/ PST exam, of these, 39,440 are females and 3,11,736 are males.

Q:   How many candidates qualified for SSC GD Physical Test 2024?

A:

The SSC GD result 2024 was released on July 10, 2024 shortlisting the candidates for the PET/ PST (Physical) test. As per the official result notice PDF, a total of 3,51,176 candidates have been shortlisted for SSC GD Physical Test 2024. These candidates will now be called for the SSC GD PET/ PST exam by the CRPF. The SSC GD Physical admit card 2024 will be released soon.

Q:   Who is eligible for SSC GD Vacancy 2025?

A:

Candidates who have passed Class 10 exam or equivalent from a recognised board can apply for the SSC GD Vacancy 2025. Candidates should be between 18 to 23 years of age to be eligible for the SSC GD Constable 2025. The Commission can cancel the candidature of the candidate at any point if he or she do not conform to any of the eligibility condition. Candidates should go through the SSC GD Constable eligibility criteria 2025 carefully before applying online for the exam.

Q:   What is the age limit for SSC GD?

A:

Candidates must be of minimum 18 years of age in order to be eligible for SSC GD exam. The upper SSC GD age limit is 23 years. However, the Commission provides a relaxation in the upper age limit for all the reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST, ExS and others. The Staff Selection Commission is carrying out the SSC GD Constable 2024 recruitment through a three-staged process including a Computer-Based Exam (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) and Detailed Medical Exam/ Document Verification (DME/DV). The SSC GD 2024 exam was held online from February 20 to March 7, 2024, and a re-exam on March 30, 2024, at a few centres.

SSC GD Final Result 2024

The SSC GD final result 2024 will be released by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). Candidates qualified in the PET/ PST followed by the Detailed Medical Examination/ Document Verification will be declared pass in the exam. The SSC GD result 2024 will mention the category-wise break-up of the candidates provisionally shortlisted appointment in the forces.

What is the Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET)?

The SSC GD PET/ PST exam is conducted to test the physical eligibility of the male and female candidates, as per the prescribed rules. The SSC GD Physical Standard Test involves the measurement of height, weight and chest, as applicable. On the other hand, the SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test requires candidates to perform a race within the given running time limits. Candidates need to clear both PET and PST rounds to get shortlisted for the next round, that is, Detailed Medical Exam/ Document Verification (DME/DV).

Q:   What is the SSC GD physical requirement in terms of height and weight?

A:
Candidates selected for SSC GD constable must pass the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) or Physical Standard Test (PST). Therefore, the SSC GD applicant must meet the following criteria to be eligible for PET or PST: (a) Height Requirements: 1. The Male candidates need to have minimum height of 170 cm. 2. The Female candidates need to have minimum height of 157 cm. (b) Weight Requirements: According to medical standards, the candidate's weight should be proportionate to his or her height and age. Q:   Is it mandatory to appear for all stages of SSC GD exam?

A:

Yes, it is mandatory to appear for all the stages of SSC GD exam- Computer-Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) and Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME). Candidates need to qualify the SSC GD CBE by obtaining the cut off marks to get shortlisted for the next round, that is, PET/ PST followed by the DME/ DV round. 

Q:   What is the minimum qualification to apply for the SSC GD exam?

A:
Candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognised Board/ University to apply for the SSC GD exam. Candidates who have not acquired the essential educational qualification as on the stipulated date will not be eligible to fill the SSC GD application form. The result of requisite educational qualification should be declared by the Board/ Institute/ University by the specified date.

Q:   Can a 10th passed student apply for SSC GD exam?

A:
Yes, a Class 10th pass candidate can apply for the SSC GD exam. The SSC GD educational qualification is Matric/ High School/ Class 10th. However, candidates appearing in Class 10th exam are not eligible to apply for SSC GD recruitment.

Q:   Which forces can I join after passing the SSC GD Constable exam?

A:
The SSC GD Constable Exam is conducted to recruit constables for general duty GD in multiple forces. You can join the following Central Armed Police Forces after passing the SSC GD for Constable (General Duty): 1. Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) 2. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 3. Sashastra Seem Bal (SSB) 4. Secretariat Security Force (SSF) 5. Border Security Force (BSF) 6. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) 7. National Investigation Agency (NIA) 8. You can also join the Assam Rifles for the post of rifleman (general duty). The SSC GD pay scale is Level 3 and ranges from Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100. SSC GD Physical Requirement 2024: Weight

The SSC GD PST 2024 also tests the physical standards of male and female candidates in terms of weight. The SSC GD weight requirement needs candidates’ weight should be proportionate to their height and age as per the medical standards.

SSC GD Physical Test 2024: Chest Measurement

The SSC GD PST 2024 tests the physical standards of male candidates in terms of chest measurement. There is no SSC GD chest measurement for female candidates. However, it is ascertained that the chest of female candidates is well developed, as per the official notification. Male candidates need to have the following chest measurements:

  • Un-expanded Chest - 80 cms
  • Minimum expansion - 5 cm

However, the Commission provides the relaxations in chest measurement for reserved category candidates as follows:

SSC GD DME /DV 2024 Details

The SSC GD 2024 Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Document Verification (DV) was conducted along with the PET/ PST round this time. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted the DV/ DME/ RME round for the candidates who cleared the Physical Test. Candidates’ physical and medical fitness was examined under the SSC GD DME in terms of Uniform Guidelines for recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and AR.

During the SSC GD DV round, candidates needed to provide the required documents at the CRPF centre. Candidates needed to carry the following documents for the SSC GD DME/ DV round:

  • Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate to prove age, name and educational qualification
  • Domicile Certificate/ Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)
  • Valid NCC Certificate, if applicable
  • Certificate from serving defence personnel
  • Undertaking from Ex-Servicemen candidates
  • Caste Certificate, if applicable
  • Certificate from candidates who wish to avail relaxation in height/ chest measurement
  • Certificate from District Collector/ District Magistrate in respect of dependent applicants of riot victims
  • Nativity/ Identity Certificate by West Pakistani Refugee

Hi Milaram mula, the age relaxation for OBC (Other Backward Classes) category candidates in SSS GD exam is 3 years. They can get selected even if they have 3 years more aged than the general category students as they have 3 years age relaxation.
