What is IPS Salary during Training?
After the recommendations of UPSC, the IPS training starts. The first three months constitute a common foundation training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration. The IPS salary starts from the day of the appointment. The appointment letter to the candidates is sent through the registered or speed-post of the India Post only. At the time of appointment, the IPS falls under the Junior Scale (Pay Level 10). So the Pay-Band-3:15,600-39,100 plus Grade Pay INR 5,400 will be applicable. As per the 7th Pay Commission Matrix, the salary will be INR 56,100. After the allocation to the state cadre, this salary differs from state to state.
