IAT Exam 2024 Cut Off (OUT): Check IISER, IISc Banglore & IIT Madras Cut Off/ Closing Rank Here

IISER Marks vs Rank is generally the data interpreation of the candidates who had appeared in teh IAT 2024 examination. Here  candidates will be able to know the expected AIR rank/ category rank that will achieve based on the marks scored by them in the IISER 2024 examination. 

IAT 2024 candidates' ranks will be based on their combined scores from the four sections (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology). The exam comprises 60 questions with a total score of 240 marks. 

Follwing the previous year trends and as per the updates mentioned on the IISER 2024 official website, IISER do not release IAT 2024 cut off marks. However, the exam officials based on the counselling registration done for admissions by the candidates, the exam officials releases the round wise IISER 2024 closing rank list.

IAT 2024 cut marks are generally the minimum marks which the IISER 2024 exam test takers need to score in order to get admissions in the programmes offered by the participating institutes.

If seats in preferred IISERs are filled, then the candidate will not be considered in further rounds of counselling. For example, if a candidate had given only two preferences as IISER-X and IISER-Y, and if the seats in these IISERs are filled, then the candidate will not be considered for seat allocation anymore. This process happens even if the student has not been allocated any seat in previous counselling rounds. 

Selected candidates in the closing rank list prepared by IIT Madras for admissions to the BS  degree programme, can accept the allocated seat by making the fee payement which is as follows:

• INR 17,500 for candidates with the category tag SC, ST, GENPwD, GEN-EWS-PwD, OBC-NCL-PwD, SC-PwD or STPwD (the fee includes INR 5,000 Nonrefundable administrative fee) and INR 35,000 for all other candidates (the fee includes INR 5,000
  Nonrefundable administrative fee).
• The seat acceptance fee excluding Non refundable administrative fee of INR 5,000 will be adjusted against the institute fee.

In the event that there is fewer number of seats available under a particular category in an academic programme than the number of
candidates with the same category-wise rank seeking admission to the B.S. (Medical Sciences and Engineering) program, then all those candidates will be offered seats by creating requisite number of supernumerary seats.

The following rules for reallocation of seats will be applicable in every round of seat allocation.
(A) Unfilled OPEN-PwD category seats for an academic program will be reallocated and treated as OPEN category seats for allocation.
(B) Unfilled GEN-EWS-PwD category seats for an academic program will be reallocated and treated as GEN-EWS category seats for allocation.
(C) Unfilled OBC-NCL-PwD category seats for an academic program will be reallocated and treated as OBC-NCL category seats for allocation.
(D) Unfilled SC-PwD category seats for an academic programme will be reallocated and treated as SC category seats for allocation.
(E) Unfilled ST-PwD category seats for an academic programme will be reallocated and treated as ST category seats for allocation.
