B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2023
Offered by Annamalai University
4.2

I am satisfied because of its faculty members, infrastructure, and facilities.
Placements: Around 50% of students are placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Almost 30% of students get internships in our course. There are businessmen, software engineers, civil service officers are provided by our college. The alumni of our college is very good.
Infrastructure: The huge campus is there. Therefore many facilities are available like Wi-Fi, laboratories, huge classrooms, and experienced staff. A better hostel facility is there. There are new laboratories, system facilities, smart classrooms, technologies, infrastructures are provided by our alumni.
Faculty: Many highly experienced teachers are there. I am satisfied to have staff like them. They are highly deserved and qualified teachers. The previous year's 95% of pass percentage is provided. The staffs of this college are kind and helping-minded, and very good.
Other: I preferred this course for jobs opportunities. Either software companies or core types of companies students can place in this course. It is an interesting course to study.

Dissatisfied becuase of placements and faculty.
Placements: No placements at all. None of the companies will turn up to this college. Sometimes few BPO companies will visit but the package they will offer is in peanuts like 1.5 lacs- 2.0 lacs.
For Mechanical Engineering one company which is AUTOAXLE limited will come and take about 5 students out of 1500.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are like any other government colleges. Medical facilities are there in and around campus. No Wi-Fi in campus. But you will get Wi-Fi in library and that too with restrictions on most of the sites. No canteen inside the campus. No. Power backup. We used to suffer a lot during power cut and have to bear the south hot and humid climate. Sports facilities are there. Gym is there with minimal cost of 150 for a year.
Faculty: Here in Annamalai you will find diverse Faculty from a Naive professor to super dooper talented professor. So its your department and your luck which matters in getting a priority faculty member. One of the best things is there labs. You will ample amount of exposure to practical knowledge.

Worst University. Please don't take admission here otherwise you will spoil your future.
Placements: There is no placement in Annamalai University. In my branch (ECE), placement is zero. We tried to meet the placement incharge but he was too busy to meet us. We went to the registrar but we were disappointed. So don't hope for placement. The placement is almost zero here. At the time of admission they will keep promising you that they will provide you placement in MNCs but after admission, nothing is done of that sort.
Infrastructure: You will get Wi-Fi in the library and hostel but don't expect a good speed The classrooms are okay and medical facilities are good (Annamalai has its own medical college)
For sports, there is a big ground where 3-4 games can be played at a time.
The labs are the main attraction of this university. You will get a wide variety of labs and instruments here but the lab faculty members are very rude and lazy.
The food is very bad.
The infrastructure is good. You will have to take an auto to reach the administration block from the classroom.
Faculty:
90% faculty members are worst. They are more corrupt than the Indian ministers. You can pass any subject or all by giving money to them. Some of the students pass in a particular subject but in the next semester, the college says that they failed. The students showed their mark sheet and the college said that anyone can make a fake mark sheet. The students had to write all the exams once again.
Some teachers(almost 70%) can not write a single word on the board without the help of their notes. They never explain any topic.
Other: if you want a better future please stay away from this University.
Some faculty members can't even speak English properly.
The management is the worst part of this university.
The whole university is corrupted( you can clear your all subjects and degree with the help of money, no need to study).
There is no safety. This place is not safe for girls.

Dissatisfied with placement, average faculty, really good infrastructure, library and labs.
Placements: Two-three companies came. But only very few were selected from our year ie 2011-2015. Our seniors also had the same issue. Our university should make necessary facilities to make sure many companies come and many people are placed. The highest salary was 3 lakh per annum, I believe, which is not a good thing for a university. Well, the role was a majority for CS branch. In EC, only one was selected.
Infrastructure: The labs and library are huge. Sports and games facilities were there. The library was huge and had all the books which were needed. We would get books easily and the lab was good too. All the necessary experiments could be executed easily.
Hostel rooms and the food were really bad. The hostel rooms were very small. The warden was very strict.
Faculty: The faculty members were okay too. There were some who used to help a lot in terms of assignment projects, but there were some who would come occasionally only to class.
Some teachers were very qualified they had all the knowledge of the particular subject and were helpful as well.
But there were some who seemed to know nothing about their particular subject.
Other: Well, it's an average college. But no placements were there. The best part of this college was that the lab and library were very good. There were some students which were very indecent. As in whole for engineering, it's not that good but the all the other course were good. Our university had many courses which they were offering.

I am very satisfied with the kind of education and facilities provided by the college.
Placements: The placement was average for the civil engineering department. Although the placement was much better for other branches like CST, ETC and electrical, the total companies that have visited the campus are 56 including companies like Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Wipro and TCS.
The students are offered various technical and managerial jobs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. The Wi-Fi facility is good all over the campus. The library has a good collection of various books. The campus has a small medical care that provides free check-up to students. Various sports events are organised in the college. There are a few indoor games too. The classrooms are good, but the labs are outdated with very few modern machines.
The hostel rooms are rather small, but satisfactory and the quality of food is decent.
Faculty: The faculty is good, some are exceptionally knowledgeable while few others have just started their teaching careers and are getting better day by day. The faculty is very helpful and highly qualified. Some professors use chalk and board and others use projectors, while some use both.
Other: The environment of the college is pretty good. Facilities in the college are also good and people there are much friendly and helpful for outside students. Apart from placements, internships are very rarely provided by the college. You have to find them yourself. The campus is very good and the campus crowd is also excellent.
