Our college is not much good or not bad.
Placements: Our course is a humanities background course, but there is a system of placements. NGOs and some institutions visit here for placements. This year, from a strength of 70 students, about 5 students were placed. In those placements, some 30 to 35 students attended the examination, while 20 students were conducted with the interview. Azim Premji Foundation and Piramal Foundation are the top recruiters of our course. The salary offered in our course ranges from Rs. 30,000 to 40,000 per month. About 10% of the students got internships in different NGOs.
Infrastructure: In our college, there is a departmental library for masters students as well as a central library. Our university also provides a cyber library for all of us. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There are 24 hours of electricity facility, water facility, etc. During winters, there is a gyser for hot water. In our hostel, there are 4 messes and one canteen, where the quality of the food and hygiene are good. There are a student health centre and 24x7 hospital within the campus. There is special accommodation for different sports.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified, helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is awesome. In our department, there is an alumnus of Cambridge, Fudan University, and some faculty members are also from JNU, Deccan College, BHU and other universities of India. The course curriculum of M.A History deals with world history, subaltern history, Asia's history, and neighbouring countries.
Other: I like history, so I chose this course. Through this course, we will be able to develop our thinking, mindset about what is going around us. It is a central university and is situated in Varanasi, which makes this university full of festivals and events. Our college organises an annual level youth fest named Abhikalpan and university level youth fest named Spandan. From the campus, the connectivity of the train is 6 km, and the airport is around 22 km.
