The campus has an excellent environment to study.
Placements: Placements in our college are quite good. Almost 95% of the student got placed. A few students joined the companies or have opted for research by applying J.R.F. This university is the best in India for research and higher education. In 2017, students in our university were offered the highest salary packages amongst other colleges in India.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of BHU is very good. All facilities like Wi-Fi, classrooms, library and others provided in the college are good. We can easily feel the study environment. You will get support from everyone. It's a ragging free campus.
Faculty: All the teachers in our university are very good and have enough experience. They all are very supportive. Regular classes make this university outstanding. I am very glad to study here. The faculty to students ratio is almost 1:40.

Really good infrastructure. Not good placement in 2018 maths batch. Overall it is nice university.
Placements: AKASH (for JEE and medical prep. ). And WIPRO have visited our campus. In which we (maths students) are allowed to appear. Only one student had selected in WIPRO for 4 Lacs per annum. So I guess one out of 70. no one got selected in AKASH.4 students got the internship with 8k per month stipend. NO Placement cell in maths dept.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is very good. Wi-Fi campus. Labs are little orthodox. Practice courses are too orthodox for aur generation. We have our library in each department. A central library which have research section (air conditioned) and a cyber library which have around 420 desktops is also air conditioned. Every student have their health card for medical purpose. We have a health centre which is open from 8 am to 8 pm. And for other serious issues we have SIR SUNDAR LAL hospitle in our campus. Sports facilities are not that good. There are no coaches in our sports faculty. All the games are organized in our sports fest. Our classrooms are nice. Food quality is decent (value for money).
Faculty: Teachers are not that helpful. They just care about their semester courses. They don't care if any of their student got internship or placement. That's why I guess companies don't visit in our maths dept. Most of the teachers are knowledgeable, have good profiles.
Other: Each faculty also have their festival organised every year. It is a Wi-Fi campus with 30k students. So I guess big crowd. Campus have more greenery compare to the surrounding. Students apply for state scholarship. And we have earn while learn facility for weak economic students. And lots of extra curricular activities like swimming, yoga classes, language Diploma, NCC, NSS etc.

The Dream University: Banaras Hindu University.
Placements: There is no placement in the mathematics department. One may get off-campus placements on his or her own but there is no such placement on the department's side. If you are looking for placement, then statistics, or DST CIMS, is for you. The mathematics department provides absolutely zero placement.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is top-notch, the library is great, and classrooms are also cool. The library has a plethora of books and every book has multiple copies, enabling high availability of them. The latest editions are also available in the library. Classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors, enabling professors to reach every student easily in large classes.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. They are available for doubt-solving at any hour. The HOD of mathematics department is very helpful and new thoughts are always encouraged. syllabus is basically pure-based but applied part is also taught enough. syllabus is humongous, and it may seem that students have to cover a lot in a short time. The syllabus is designed to help students crack exams like NET JRF, etc. Recently, a student got AIR 2 in IIT JAM 2024. Semester exams are very difficult, and student need to be very thorough in the topics to pass the exams. Pass percentage is a bit low in PG, as in it is around 50 percent or less.

The department is misguided by the wrong heads.
Placements: Placements are not very well here. Seniors got 1 to 2 coaching institutes and the same for us. Also, we had extra placements like Big Bazar, Indigo ground staff, which is not possibly an option to choose for M.Sc students. So, I don't think the placement is excellent.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good. Wi-Fi is available, but sometimes it disturbs. Sports and games have a great opportunity in the college. Hence, I think my college has great infrastructure. The library books are available. The mathematics portion can be made better.
Faculty: The faculty are qualified. But only a few of them are helpful and knowledgeable. We have 70 to 80 students in a class. Hence, the ratio is also not well maintained. Some teachers are good and excellent, but they don't get a good opportunity as the HOD is just useless. He is doing wrong politics to keep the crown.
Other: Events are not organised. They don't let us arrange the freshers party even.

BHU: The Beauty of Banaras.
Placements: At the Department of Mathematics, Institute of Science, placements are not much encouraged. In my time, 4 students were placed with a package of 5 to 6 Lacs in a batch of 120. But now they have a placement cell where you have to join, and they mostly call companies from the edtech sector. However, in other departments like Zoology, Botany, and Chemistry, placements are good. In my department, they do not offer too many internships; during my time, there was only one, which was Vedic Mathematics. But there is IIT BHU, where you can apply for internships in the Department of Mathematics.
Infrastructure: The M.Sc. in Mathematics is a 2-year course, consisting of 4 semesters. Exams are held semester-wise. For 20 marks, they hold a mid-semester exam after 2 months from the start of the semester, 10 marks are given for attendance and class performance, and then 70 marks for the end-semester exam. The department has its own library with enough mathematics books, and there is also a computer lab with more than 50 computers. Hostel facilities are very good and are cleaned regularly. Wi-Fi is available in both the hostel and the department. There are 2 to 3 messes and 1 to 2 canteens in the hostels.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and come from IISC and IITs. The teaching quality is very good. Some professors are rude, but that number is very small. Teachers are very helpful for your future life. The course is mainly focused on research and teaching, but it does not make you industry-ready. The semester exams are tough, and that is required because the course has a very good value in IITs and other high-ranked institutes. But you can get good marks by studying 2 to 3 hours daily and 7 to 10 hours before exams. Solving previous year papers makes it easy.
Other: I chose this university because it is in the top 5 ranked universities in India and in the top 15 worldwide. The course is designed for research and teaching. They teach some research topics. There are some very good professors like Ashish Kumar Upadhyay (Ph.D., IISC), Harish Chandra, Krishnendu Bhattacharya, Akhilesh Yadav, Shyam Lal, and many others. If the course had a project in the last semester with presentations, it would help students more for industry and research and provide a variety of career options. Aakansha is held every year in January and February, featuring events like dancing, singing, poetry, essay writing, and quizzes. Every year, a sports program is held at the Institute of Science, covering all the games like cricket, kabaddi, football, badminton, volleyball, etc.
