The campus is excellent in terms of facilities and education. The course provides deep knowledge.
Placements: Department manager in retail fashion, merchandising, assistant fashion designer, etc. are the top roles offered. The college offers many types of placement and suggests internships during the vacation. Most of the internships and placements are for merchandising and retail department managers.
Infrastructure: Good quality is good. Medical facilities are available at times. The security is very good. Cooler and AC rooms are available but the problem is that there's no lift in the hostel, which is a big problem for students. Otherwise, the food is very good and tasty. Hygiene is maintained.
Faculty: The passing percentage is 50%. Exams are good to attempt after studying well. The criteria for checking the answers sheet is very unique; other department professors check the answers sheets of other students so that any kind of criticism cannot be done with students.

Our college is a safe and good place to study in.
Placements: Our college provides average placements. We are given placements in other courses. Diversity in placements is lacking, i.e., fashion illustrator, pattern maker, seamstress, etc., are some of the jobs.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is good. Purified drinking water is provided. Washrooms are cleaned every day. The quality of the food is good. There are guards and lady guards for security. Ambulance and medical facilities are provided to hostelers. There are coolers in rooms. A mess is available.
Faculty: Our teachers are knowledgeable, but the learning experience and techniques are not the best for some teachers. They still teach with boring old methods. Students should be taught to enjoy the work rather than complete it for marks. Marks are not updated regularly.
Other: Extracurricular activities are held, but college should reward and support students more.

Overall, I love my college and their facilities.
Placements: 20% of students in our batch are placed in retail only every year. Branded companies come to take interviews; the companies are also very few. No design placement has been given to the students. Companies like Nike, etc. are very nice and good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Chandigarh University is very attractive and clean. They provide us with a good atmosphere, with various food courts and a big library to study in. Our fashion and design block includes practical labs, mannequins or practical classes.
Faculty: The faculty of Chandigarh University is very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very nice. The course curriculum is exactly the same as the online course curriculum. They prepare us for a better future. The semester exams are not so difficult as they prepare us on a prior basis.
Other: I love my course. My course includes a lot of practical work and a creative mind. Our faculty helps us sharpen our skills. We have stitching labs for stitching the clothes. We also have a lot of workshops and events in our day-to-day college life.

It is an average college.
Placements: I didn't get placed till now as I'm in the second year. Placements provided in our college are average. One of our seniors got placed in a shopping mall.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good and big that are sufficient for 15 students so that they get their personal workspace. Hostels are not good. There are two sewing labs with helpful lab assistants.
Faculty: Practical knowledge is not provided in our college. I've learned sewing as the faculty is good. Some faculty members in our college are good and some are old-fashioned. I suggest students study good books to score good grades.
Other: It is not a good college for fashion design. I recommend students who are passionate about fashion design not to take admission to this college.

Our college provides good education and bright future for students.
Placements: Our college offers good placements for fashion design students. Our seniors got good placements in reputed companies like Zara and Tommy Hilfiger. The placement coordinator promised students good and quality placements. I got an off-campus internship in the 1st year with the help of our department.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good. I was a hosteller in 1st year of our course where I gained good experience. All the facilities provided in our college are good. Mess food is nutritious and tasty. Sanitation facilities are good in hostel washrooms.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good, well-skilled, cooperative, humble, and helpful. Exams are tough, but I managed to get good grades. The course curriculum is beneficial for students to grow their skills.

Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.A. programs at Chandigarh University (CU)?

A:
{Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Here's the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.A. programs at Chandigarh University (CU):

Placement Cell Effectiveness

* According to students and alumni, only "a few" students from their course have been placed by the university's placement cell.
* However, many students from the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) department have been placed with good salary packages.
* While there isn't much information available about the placement cell's performance specifically for B.A. programs, it appears that the cell has had limited success in placing students from these courses.
* Overall, while CU's placement cell seems to have potential, it would benefit from improvement and increased efforts to place students from all disciplines.

Note: Since most of the information provided is anecdotal and doesn't represent a representative sample size, it's difficult to draw definitive conclusions about the effectiveness of the placement cell. Further research or data would be needed to gain a more complete understanding of the situation.
