Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2026

All about Shivaji college.
Placements: Placement opportunities at Shivaji College are good. Many large MNCs recruit from our college, but they tend to hire students with good grades. To get placed, we need to learn the skills required by employers. There are certain student organizations that can help us do this, such as the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) and the Placement Cell, which teach students the skills needed to work in corporate settings.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Shivaji College is good, but only if we look at the Jijabai block. The old building has been roughly used and not taken care of. Also, the sports ground is separate from the building, which makes the campus seem small. On the plus side, there is a lot of greenery and a big lawn.
Faculty: The faculty at Shivaji College are very qualified and provide a lot of support to students. However, they are very strict about internal assessment and attendance. But in the end, all the professors are very supportive and helpful, and we can learn a lot from them, not only about our course but also about life in general.
Other: No.

Hindu college- Value for money.
Placements: Generally, the placement record of Hindu College is very good because companies like Wipro, TCS, and LG come for campus placement. Mainly 60 to 70 percent of students are able to grab the placement. Also, companies like LIC and Internshala come for internship, as many students want to do internships. The median package offered by the company lies between 6 to 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel is only available for male students with the facility of free Wi-Fi, hygienic food, a bathroom, a balcony, a hostel library, and a hostel cyber cafe. Also, the hostel provides free medical facilities for all hostellers, but you have to pay a monthly medical fee, which is very minimal.
Faculty: Faculty members are well trained and very friendly; most of them are Ph.D. holders and belong to many prestigious organizations. Our college is following the NEP curriculum, where students can study anything that they want. Exams are conducted twice a year on a semester basis, and semester exams are moderately difficult.

College is good in everything except the infrastructure.
Placements: 85 percent of the students are placed in my course. The lowest package, according to my course, is 20000 and the highest is 50,000. Not many but some private companies recruit from here. In my course, the majority of students are preparing for government jobs, so they have no choice but to go to other companies .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are not good. The foods are available in the canteen, which is also good. The seating arrangements are also very good but they are very dirty some times, so we need to make clean place where we are come to eat and have lunch, etc.
Faculty: Teaching is excellent and most classes are running regularly. There is not much doubt in the teachers teachings. The professors are giving us study material so we are studying with our free minds.
Other: I chose this course because it will be easy to prepare for my future studies and prepare for my goal without any problems. Preparation are running well by this course and by the study material .

An average package of fun .
Placements: I am in B.A. hons in political science, and we have a class composition of 55 students. Overall, this course is so really good. We get to study different ideologies and different types of people and their thinking. It's the very start of the course, so we haven't gone through it much, but if I see it overall, according to my seniors experience, it is really so vast and nice. For the package, it's nearly about 6,45,000, and we mostly get jobs like journalism and copywriting, etc.
Infrastructure: There are not many facilities available for our courses, which are B.A. hons. in political science. Like none of the rooms are totally dedicated to political science, but we have a problem right there that where our classes are being held in Jubilee Block. We are fully equipped with ACs.
Faculty: Teachers here are really qualified in many fields and hold knowledge of political science a lot. Most of the professors are very friendly and cooperative, along with playing the role of a parent in college, being strict about the things that are unacceptable by correcting us. The specific course doesn't have much to make us industry-ready but definitely makes us UPSC-ready. Else, other than this, we have GE, VAC, SEC, and AEC. We can opt for different subjects and topics to gain knowledge.
Other: I chose this course because I was already very interested in political science, which made me attracted towards this course, and it's going on well as we learn many new things on a daily basis. I wish that it could've consisted of some industry-ready skills with it, which would help us get jobs easily in this capitalist world. Else event fest and the campus are so wholesome. Everything is so sorted and done on time. There is no fest season. You can see fests being held every day or every other day except during exam times.

Review of Maharshi Valmiki College of Education, University of Delhi.
Placements: This college for B.Ed. admission requires a first division pass on the 12th marksheet. In this course, many schools and colleges are invoked to the college, like Kotak Education Foundation, Akash classes, etc. There is a monthly salary provided, like 35 thousand to 60 thousand salary provided.
Infrastructure: This college is provided by multiple facilities and uses high-quality products like branches, blackboards, doors, fans, etc. In this college, the canteen food is very tasty and served very cleanly. There are sports committees every year, and sports and games are played.
Faculty: This college faculty and teachers are very nice, and teachers are highly qualified and available in this college. This college teacher provides very deep explanations and solves any queries. This course is totally a 2-year course duration and 4 semester exams, but this exam is not hard because it includes practical marks in our theory.

Yes I am dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: I have generally not heard about placements from my department students who try for IIT JAM and other field jobs. some go for UPSC government exams students come here to do coaching and other curricular activities which develop their personality physically as well as mentally.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is okok not too good mostly washrooms GATE doesnot have latch. Library is fine and canteen requires cleanliness also the classroom are cheated as in summer there in no proper ventilation and fans working, also no edu comp classes held.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you are regular usually students study just for the sake of exams, not seriously and most of the teachers focus on the quick covering of the syllabus In the end students have to study on their own. Stone hardly managed to pass due to their carelessness.
Other: There are a lot of groups in our batch. No fest no alumni, not good crowd students are much involved in politics.

Q:   Can I take admission to DU with 60% in Class 12?

A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).
