Delhi University Entrance Test 2023 ( DUET )

DUET/ DU CUET UG, PG result 2023 declaration date has not been announced yet by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Once released, candidates will be able to check and download the result by visiting the official website of the exam. 

DU CUET UG exam is being conducted from May 21 to June 8, 2023 while DU CUET PG exam dates are June 5 to 17, 2023.   

To get access to their result online, candidates need to login with their form number and date of birth. Qualified candidates of DUET 2023 have to appear for the further selection rounds also known as counselling. DUET 2023 scorecard will have details such as candidates total score, sectional score and rank etc.

The normalisation of candidate’s marks

To declare DUET result 2023, the scores of candidates have been normalized through the equi-percentile method. This process is followed to adjust the difficulty of question papers. The percentile ranks thus arrived has been used to finalise the merit list. The ranks of candidates have been decided based on the normalized marks.

What after DUET 2023 result?

After verification of all the documents, candidates need to log on to the admission portal to pay the admission fee.

After the DU CUET-PG exam, the admission process will be managed at the level of each of the participating Universities/Institutions for their respective programs. After the result of the CUET-PG are announced, the respective Universities will release the counselling/admission schedule and merit list based on CUET 2023 score and any other criteria of participating universities. Candidates are suggested to check the website of the concerned University for details. There will be admission counselling for Universities/Institutions with additional applicable fees.

DU CUET UG and PG 2023 result declaration date has not been announced yet by National Testing Agency, the exam conducting body. Q:   Will I get weightage for my Class 12 Board marks in admissions through CUET UG?

No, candidates will get admission through CUET UG 2024 mainly based on CUET UG 2024 score in different Subjects/languages/ General Test as mentioned in the in the score card. However, it is worthy to be mentioned here that the minimum eligibility conditions of various Universities take into account the percentage of combinations of subjects as per the course. Q:   Is it necessary to apply separately for all colleges under DU or CUET or will it be considered as one exam for all colleges?

If I say the simple answer to your question is No! You don't have to apply separately to all colleges one by one however you have to fill the preference list on COMMON SEAT ALLOCATION SYSTEM (CSAS) after the entrance test known as CUET and you can fill the preference of the college which you want to also consider your score in mind.

Q:   Will there be any deduction of marks in case a candidate skips a question in DUET paper?

A:
No, no marks will be deducted for a question that is left unattempted. The candidates can safely skip questions if they do not know the correct answer. Notably, candidates will be awarded 4 (four) marks for each correct answer while one marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. There is negative marking in DUET exam. In order to know about the detailed marking scheme of the DUET exam, candidates need to check the exam pattern and marking scheme given at Shiksha's page or the official website of Delhi University. Notably, DUET is held to provide admission to candidates in Ph.D. courses.

Unfortunately no. DUET is Delhi University Entrance Test and DU has discontinued the PG Diploma in Bioinformatics programme in 2023. Therefore, preparing for DUET to get admission to the PG Diploma in Bioinformatics programme will not be helpful.
