Good college if you wish to pursue litigation/ prepare for competitive exams.
Placements: The internship cell is working towards internships but for placements, the percentage of students being placed by the college is low. The internships being provided are in tier 2 firms like Bharucha & Partners, Samvaad etc. The advantage of studying here is that the attendance pressure isn't a lot so it becomes easier to prepare for competitive exams like judiciary, UPSC etc.
Infrastructure: University is pretty good infrastructure wise. NIRF ranking of GGSIPU beats many NLUs as well. The university emphasizes a lot on keeping the campus beautified from time to time. There are 2 libraries, one exclusively for law and the other one is the main library for all courses. There was a mix of ac and non-ac classrooms in the university. Most of the students are day scholars, I was also one but as far as I heard from my friends, mess food is good and the rooms are also fine. There are individual rooms being offered.
Faculty: Most faculty members hold doctorates degree. They are qualified. Overall teaching quality is average. Classes used to be somewhat irregular. The course curriculum is completely relevant. The college exams are of moderate level. Pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I believe better placements is what this college is lacking and certainly an area that can be improved.

All about Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
Placements: The placement of our college is not very high. Around 20 or 30% of the students get placed in a year. The average package according to 2023 are 5.2 lacs per annum. The internships given by the college placement cell are pretty good; they are from reputed institutions.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is pretty good; the rooms are centrally air-conditioned. There is a separate moot court room and smart classrooms for various events. The food quality in the hostel is pretty good and the facilities provided in the hostel are also good like the gym common room and indoor games like tennis tables. The medical facilities are up to the mark, the doctors are present all the time and all the sports are available in our college, along with the trainers.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and experienced and have an impressive amount of knowledge. They are very good at teaching and explaining in easy terms that make us understand that the course curriculum is relevant; it also includes practical knowledge for our career and the semester exams are not very difficult. The percentage required to pass the semester is only 40% .
Other: The campus life is pretty good. Various events are organized to keep it fun. The main cultural fest is in February, which is Nugoonj. The crowd on the campus is really good, sophisticated, friendly and helpful.

I am quite satisfied with faculty, the infrastructure is good and facilities are decent.
Placements: More than 60% of students were placed in my course. The highest package offered in my course is 13-14 Lacs, the lowest package is 3-4 Lacs, and the average package is 7-8 Lacs. More than 80% of students got internships in my course in high court, supreme court, and district courts.
Infrastructure: The families available in the course are decent; it has air-conditioned rooms with smart boards, clean and hygienic toilets, and good-quality seats. The library is well-equipped and has computers where you can do your research and study. Our college only has boys hostels, which are hygienic and in good condition, and the food at the mess is great.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The teaching quality is great. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant, is relevant, and gives a lot of career opportunities; it does make the students industry ready. The semester exams in this college are moderately difficult; the pass percentage is 40%.

I am satisfied with this college.
Placements: Our college has a placement cell. It provides top-notch placements in good companies and firms. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Flipkart, Wipro, Irbavpa Enterprise Private Limited, etc. Top roles offered are teacher, lawyer, advocate, and judge.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with all facilities. The canteen is good. The food served in the canteen is good. Classrooms are neat and well-ventilated. They are equipped with air-conditioners. Our college has an auditorium and a large seminar hall. There are various computer labs on different floors. A separate law library is available on campus, and it has many books by different authors.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly and supportive. They solve all our problems related to our studies. The teaching quality is excellent. They give their best to provide good education. We don't face any difficulties during semester exams as teachers tell us about the exams early.
Other: The best thing about this course is its field is good. This course provides many opportunities. We can become criminal lawyers, family lawyers, etc. The domain is good. Many fests are held in our college. Our college crowd is good. Our college organises various competitions. They give a prize to the winners. Our college has good surroundings. Many food stalls are available near our college.

Great Campus and Hostel Life.
Placements: Placements in this course are almost non-existent due to the poor and laidback functioning of the university's placement cell. We don't have a placement coordinator, and most of the placement opportunities come from alumni or small law firms, which offer an average salary of 3-4 LPA. However, some students secure PPOs and are placed with good packages of 12-13 LPA. Around 20% of students from our college get placed.
Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure is its best feature. The campus is large and beautiful, with amenities like Wi-Fi, playgrounds, parking, and places to hang out such as Nescafe or Amul. The classrooms and library are air-conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi, and have projectors for smart classes. The hostel is very affordable and good, with single rooms, two gyms, and two common rooms with TVs and ACs. The hostel environment is great, with no ragging culture. The quality of food in the mess is also very good.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are visiting faculty or Ph.D. scholars, which is a downside of the university. There are only a few permanent professors who are very helpful and great. The dean of the university is very interactive and helpful. The curriculum is relevant and comparatively easier than at other universities. The passing grade is 40%, which is easy to attain as the semester examinations are not difficult and the checking is not strict. Teaching quality needs improvement due to the presence of inexperienced faculty.
Other: I chose this course because I come from a family of litigators. The best aspects of the course include the social interactions, social life, events, and seminars. The university organizes a huge number of events, including the annual fest called Anugoonj, held in February, which is one of the biggest fests in Delhi. Connectivity is excellent due to the college's proximity to the airport and railway station, and metro connectivity is also great. Extracurricular activities are encouraged through events like sports meets.

Q:   Is B.A. LL.B. (Hons) at GGSIPU worth the investment?

A:
{Source: B.A. LL.B. (Hons) students & alumni}

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary:

* Placement Cell: The placement cell is active, but placements are not very encouraging. Most students opt for individual advocacy or small law firms, offering average salaries ranging from INR3-INR4 Lacs per annum. Top roles offered are those of a legal associate, with some students securing internships with renowned law firms.
* Faculty: Teachers are generally knowledgeable, but some may lack enthusiasm. The permanent faculty members are helpful and supportive, while guest lecturers from the field bring valuable industry experience.
* Infrastructure: The college has modern infrastructure, including air-conditioned classrooms, a dedicated law library, and Wi-Fi-enabled premises. Hostels are comfortable, with single occupancy rooms and decent food facilities.
* Extracurricular Activities: The college organizes various events, fests, and seminars, providing opportunities for students to develop their skills and interests.
* Campus Life: The campus is lively, with a mix of students from diverse backgrounds. The location in Sector 16, Dwarka, is convenient, with easy access to public transportation and amenities.

However, some concerns were raised regarding:

* Teaching Pedagogy: Some students felt that the teaching method was traditional and lacked innovation, making learning less engaging.
* Curriculum: While the curriculum is relevant, some students believed it didn't prepare them adequately for the industry.
* Internship Opportunities: Although some students secured internships, others reported limited opportunities and irregularity in payment structures.

Overall, whether or not the B.A. LL.B. (Hons) programme at GGSIPU is "worth the investment" depends on individual goals and expectations. For those seeking a strong theoretical foundation and willing to pursue individual advocacy or smaller law firms, the programme may be suitable. However, for those looking for higher-paying jobs or extensive internship opportunities, alternative options may be more beneficial.

Q:   Is GGSIPU good for B.Voc?

A:
{Source: B.Voc students & alumni}

Here's what our analysis reveals:

* Placement: Unfortunately, placements are poor for B.Voc students, with only 4-5 students being selected by private companies like Samsung, ThoughtWorks, and Tata Power every year. This has worsened post-COVID.
* Faculty: While some teachers are good, others are inexperienced and unhelpful. Homework assignments are often given without guidance, making self-study essential.
* Curriculum: The syllabus is designed to be industry-ready, but students need to put in extra effort to learn.
* Infra: Infrastructure is subpar, with a dusty library and average classrooms. The lack of hostels for B.Voc students is another concern.
* Scholarship: Scholarships are available, but we couldn't gather detailed information on the process.

In summary, while GGSIPU has its strengths (e.g., good connectivity), B.Voc students face significant challenges in terms of placement, faculty experience, and infrastructural shortcomings. We recommend exploring other options carefully before choosing GGSIPU for your B.Voc program.
