Candidates who had qualified the GATE exams is eligible for the M.Tech at Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology. Further, candidates must also qualify for the eligibility criteria, i.e., Bachelor's degree with 60% aggregate (General / EWS & OBC) and 55% (SC/ST & PwD) from a recognised institution. Qualified candidates must complete the IIST admission procedure and finalised their seats.

IIST-Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology offeres MTech at postgraduate level. The MTech course's tuition fee ranges from INR 1.4 lakh - INR 6.3 lakh. The fee is sourced from various sources, hence indicative. Candidates must make the payment online. The institution also offers exemption from tuittion fee for ST/SC/ PD students. • For BTech, candidates must first qualify the JEE Main, and JEE Advanced and complete the entire admission process of the institution.

The programme is offered under two specialisations: Aerospace Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering (Avionics). The curriculum covers foundation-level courses such as Mechanics, Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, etc.

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology offers a Merit scholarship to its UG students. However, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria to avail the scholarships benefit. The eligibility criteria is as follows:

• Candidates must first be a student of the Institution. They must get enrolled for any programme offeredat IIST.
• Students must score AIR (All India Rank, in JEE Advanced Examination, 2023) upto 1000.
•  UG students must secure a CGPA of 9.0 or higher (in a scale of 10).
