MIT-WPU has everything which most of universities are lagging behind.
Placements: I was studying in MIT-WPU for Chemical engineering and the experience is good. Top-class infrastructure and well knowledgeable faculty members make everything easy. I passed out in 2023 and my batch placement was good. The highest CTC was 11 LPA for Exxon Mobile and the average package was 7.5 LPA. The recruiting companies include Relience, Exxon Mobile, Deloitte, Praj Indus, worley etc.
Infrastructure: Top class infrastructure with best quality equipment in chemical labs helps us to get the exact knowledge about the course. Lab includes all crushers, Mills like ball mills, valves, boilers, reactors etc. With hands-on experience on chemical and equipment.
Faculty: The faculty members are friendly and always help in the process of development of every project, doubt and other activities too. Almost every faculty member has Ph.D. in their respective fields. The exams are as same as semester pattern. There are 2 midterms and 2 end terms with practical exams.
Other: There are lots of events happening on the campus which makes MIT-WPU different from other universities. It has different clubs which sharpen our skills and boost our performance.

Good Infrastructure and average placement. Good place for overall development.
Placements: 1. About 50-60% students get placed. Out of which, top quartile get more than 4.5 LPA package on an average. 2. The lowest package was 1.2 LPA, while the highest package was 38 LPA (Rakuten, Japan). 3. Top recruiters (Chemical Engineering) are ZS Associates, Honeywell UOP, Reliance Industries Limited, Hindustan Unilever (only females), Baker Hughes (only Internship, which later can be converted to PPO), Halliburton (depends on vacancies), JCB, Praj Industries, Prod Air. 4. Almost 90% students were able to get an internship. Companies: Baker Hughes, ONGC, Reliance Industries Limited, Kajaria, HIKAL, EQUINOX 5. Roles offered are Chemical Engineer, Field Engineer, Engineering Associate, Plant Design Engineer, Process Control Engineer, HSE Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Control Officer, Business Analyst, Business Operations Associate.
Infrastructure: 1. Facilities: Fully Equipped Labs, Wi-Fi, Smart TV in classrooms + Projectors, Digital Library, and a 3 floor library along with more then 6 reading halls. 2. For hostel, food is average (2.5/5), canteen is better than mess, medical facility in hostel is not upto the mark, whereas in college a doctor is available during the day time. Sports in hostel is mainly limited to indoor sports, such as Carrom, Chess, Table Tennis.
Faculty: 1. All the teachers are Ph.D. and are knowledgeable. Quality of teaching is good but will be better in the course of time. 2. The curriculum is relevant and companies coming for placements do look out for the skills that we have gained in the 4 years. There is a slight lack of knowledge of the students in the real time projects and their applications, which is being worked upon and will soon be improved soon.
Other: 1. This course was the best for me as my interest was in chemical engineering and as it contains a small batch size which means a very good chance to stand out and have good interaction with your teachers and department. 2. The college should provide more real time projects, and the application based learning. Along with this, simulation practice and knowledge about tools and software used in industries. 3. Best events, campus and crowd. You get to connect to a lot of people, good chances of winning a scholarship as I myself have won 2 international scholarships back to back in the year 2018-19. Search for "Ayush Mishra American Institute if Chemical Engineers" on Google and you might find me. There is no limit for Extra curricular activities and sports and you will find 100s of clubs active inside the college.

It is the brand university in Pune.
Placements: Placements in our college are quite good. Every year, almost 65-70% of the placements are provided for all the branches of engineering. Being a reputed college in Pune, top companies visit the campus to conduct interviews. For the last 10 years, the highest package offered to the petrochemical branch is nearly 20 to 22 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. All the labs are filled with essential equipment required for performing practicals. At a time, nearly 100 to 150 students can perform practicals. The lab in charges are also well educated. Every branch has its own well-equipped labs so that performing practicals becomes enjoyable for students.
Faculty: Being a reputed college in Pune, all the teachers in this college have nearly 8-10 years of teaching experience. All the teachers have completed their ME or M.Tech from well-known colleges across India. Some of them have completed their MS from other countries.
Other: Different events are conducted in the college.

I had the best time of my life at this college. I have got the best people here.
Placements: Each company hires at least one candidate with a good package. Around 40% of the students get placed with a good package. Everyone is offered internships as the staff members have good contacts. Being an engineering student, it's better not to expect stipend during internships.
Infrastructure: The classroom programme is the best. Labs are in good condition and are equipped with all the necessary instruments. There is good exposure for students. Hostels are average. The quality of food is the best in whole Pune. Everyone is enthusiastic and participates in many events. The college organises many intercollege and intra-college sports events.
Faculty: Teachers are the best part of this institution. They are the best motivators, and they help us at any time. Other than our own Even the faculty members of other departments treat us in a good way, and that is the nicest part. All the faculty members are qualified with PhDs, and even some have published their own books. They explain the concepts in the best way.
Other: MIT is known for its fests. The college organises the best fests. One can have the best time with their friends during all the events. As far as scholarships are concerned, the student section takes care that everyone avails the benefits. The college is very helpful.

The silver lining if you missed the golden one (IITs and NITs).
Placements: The placements are quite good but not much lucrative with the average package of 3-3.5 lacs (among eligible students). Reliance, Honeywell, Hikal, Navinfluro Chemicals, Kingfa, etc. are some companies that visit our campus. The highest package was given by Honeywell UOP of 8:00 lacs CTC.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of MIT PUNE is one of the best in whole Pune, even at par with the best institutes' standards. All the equipment is present in a well-operational condition, especially for refining operations, which petrochemical department is known for. Every year, a grand national level sports event is held by the name of MIT Summit. A lot of technical events are held by all the departments, which helps the students to increase the technical knowledge (i.e. Texyphyr, Petrovision, Nirmitee, etc). The world peace library of MIT PUNE is unique in itself. It is open for the students on all 365 days. There is a good number of classrooms (equipped with a projector and speakers), and an auditorium. At last, regarding the mess, it is not too good. But if you are staying in the hostel, then you have to opt for the mess. No Wi-Fi for the students.
Faculty: Petrochemical engineering is a specialization of chemical engineering where we study all chemical engineering subjects (i.e. MT, HT, FM, CRE, process control, TD, PDE etc), in addition to refining operations, strength of materials, and petrochemical processes as additional subjects. 3-4 faculty members are excellent or you can say are an ocean of knowledge including the HOD (Dandge sir), RR Joshi Sir, AD Kulkarni sir, Gaikwad sir, etc. The way of teaching is more practical-based and problem-based.
Other: MIT PUNE is itself a legacy from the last 34 years. If you are unable to crack IIT or NIT, then MIT Pune can be one of the options. It is a huge campus comprising of engineering, business, pharmacy, photography, etc. students. 30-35% of the students are from outside Maharashtra, making it a great mix of students. You can find singers, designers, nerds, studious students on the whole campus. The MIT campus undergoes a lot of events throughout the year like festivals and the students cherish all the moments and enjoy their college life to the fullest.
