Very much satisfied with placement offers and future prospects

Placements: The good placement scenario overall with highest package going around 10-12 lakhs and the average is around 30 lakhs. The placement is hoped to get better next year and companies will come in flock. Around 90% of the students were placed in my batch. Around 30% got the internship from the college and around 70% arranged by themselves. Overall, the internship condition is good for freshers.

Good college, good course curriculum.

Placements: The placements were average. The average salary offered was 5 lpa. Good companies like Microsoft, Amazon, etc. came with the good post of a software developer and mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, etc. also came. The roles offered by mass recruiters were of a software engineer and system engineer. Most students from CSE were placed but a few companies came for chemical engineering.

If you want to be excellent, NIT Dgp will take care of your dreams.

Placements: The placements were good and the job profiles were also career oriented. Though 80% students got placed, the opportunity was there and well-prepared candidates ended up with success. PPO and internships were also diverse as well as present market oriented.

An ideal college, I believe!

Placements: In my senior batch, 2nd last year, a girl was placed in Google USA with a package of Rs. 95 lpa. Moreover, this year, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Amazon, Factset, Yodlee, L&T visited our campus. The highest salary offered is Rs. 26 lpa and the lowest is Rs. 6 lpa. On average, Rs. 10 lpa is offered. The highest stipend offered for the internship is 75k, the lowest is 22k and the average is 40k.

The problem is that it is in West Bengal which hardly matters after a point of time.

Placements: As compared to the last two years, the placement is superb, and even the number of companies coming for the internships has increased this year. The placement for the core department is similar to that of any other NIT. The best offer on the campus till now is Rs. 27 lacs per annum offered by Amazon to the students who got a PPO.

Good campus and weather. Many clubs for various interests.

Placements: The placements are better compared to most of the other NITs. On an average, 75% students are offered placements every year (for electrical engineering). Some of them get a quite lucrative package. This year, the highest package offered was 29.6 lakhs INR with an average package of 6 lakhs INR. Famous companies like Amazon, Qualcomm, Saint-Gobain, Microsoft, L&T, TCS, etc. offer jobs.

Awesome college to learn and enjoy for four great years.

Placements: Placement was awesome. 90% people were placed in our batch. There are awesome people to assist us. Almost every company visits in our college for our placement, like Amazon, Snapdeal, Directi and every company takes 4-5 people at least. We also have mass companies like TCS, Infosys.

A place to live, learn and flourish.

Placements: One who deserves and wants a job gets one here. Placements were good in the past due to PSU visits but after the government's decision, there was a decline in good jobs for core engineers while software jobs were on the rise. But again, PSUs have started visiting the campus. The placement is on the right track and is blanced for both core and software sectors.

NIT Durgapur is a very good college. Placement and infrastructure are really good.

Placements: There are many MNCs that visited our college every year like Amazon, Microsoft, Directi, Samsung R&D, D.E Shaw, etc, (for IT, CSE & ECE). The highest package for this year was 29 LPA and the average package was 10 LPA. Satisfied but need some improvements.

Placements: Campus placements are well-up and ongoing. Decent packages in the core sector can be observed. Internships and chances of pre-placement opportunities are high. PSUs visit the campus at the very end of placement season, thus assuring that almost all the students have earned a job with a decent package before leaving the campus.

Placements: Placements were pretty good compared to other colleges in West Bengal. More than 90% of the batch got placed through campus and more than 40% of the batch secured double jobs. Big brands like HUL, Tata Steel, Tata motors, Maruti Suzuki, Microsoft etc. came to the campus for recruitment. Highest on campus package was around 15-16 LPA while the lowest was 3.25 LPA. Average for the batch was approx. 4.5-5 LPA depending on the branch students were in.

Placements: The placement is quite good here. Most of the reputed companies of the world visit here like, Microsoft, Honda Cars, Hero Moto Corp, Coal India, TCS, Wipro, L&T etc. The placement cell is quite effective, efficient and helpful. The companies offer a fair package to the students, and the placement of our seniors was quite good and is improving with each passing year.

Good college to join since it has improved and is improving day by day

Placements: The placements are nice. The non -core branch students, some core branch students, as well as the students who want to join the finance companies get placed in the odd semester. And the rest of the students get placed in even semester. Mass recruiting for 2-3 companies is also done here.

It is well known all over India that we have two types of institutions as the top institutes for engineering i.e IIT's followed by NIT's. I had the opportunity to study in Nit Durgapur. One of the pluses for students from Kolkata is that it's only 3 hrs. a journey from the esplanade. They have a beautiful infrastructure and are well equipped with latest instruments in labs for practical experience. We had very helpful teachers and seniors who helped us along the four-year journey. One of the bes...
