Overall good faculty and facilities providing good placement of 80% and a beautiful campus.
Placements: Around 90% of students were placed in B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, with the highest package being 32 LPA and the lowest being 4 LPA. I don't know much about the top recruiting companies. I think 50-60% of people got internships from this course. I don't know much about the top roles offered this year.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and the library are better than many NITs, with good Wi-Fi speed. The food available in the mess is also of good quality, with the canteen providing food at a reasonable price and with good quality. The medical facilities are the best because we are provided with free ambulance service, and if our on-campus health center is not capable in any situation, we are sent immediately to Hamirpur District Hospital, which is free of cost and has the best facilities.
Faculty: All teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are ready to help any student in need and provide study material. Yes, I think the course curriculum is good enough to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not so tough, with a passing percentage of 40.
Other: I chose this course because I only got this based on my percentile, but I got a beautiful campus along with better facilities. For improvement of the course, we need to add AI courses and courses about robotics, which are top-notch fields.

I am satisfied with my college.
Placements: Placements are good. In 2023, 83% of students were placed (683 students in total). The average package was 8.3 lacs. The highest package was 1.73 crores, which was in the computer science department. Placements in mechanical engineering were also good. Overall placements are excellent.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available in the hostel and on campus. There is Wi-Fi availability throughout the hostel and campus. The infrastructure of the institute is also excellent. Sports facilities in the hostel include volleyball, football, cricket, table tennis, badminton, etc. Mess food is also very good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. Most faculty members have Ph.D.s. They teach very well. They teach topics thoroughly. As I am in the mechanical engineering department and in the first year, the syllabus for the first year is the same for all engineering students, so I don't know much about our curriculum, as our main subjects will start from the second year.

NIT Hamirpur has a beautiful campus and great infrastructure.
Placements: My batch placement is still ongoing and we do have more than 6 months left and already over 30% placed; the highest package would be 50 LPA, the lowest would be 4.5 LPA and the average is 7-8 LPA. The top recruiters are Accenture, Maruti, Technip and Alstom. Also, many IT-related companies were the top recruiters.
Infrastructure: Departmental building infrastructure is top notch for the one's that are new, and for the old ones it is decent, but facilities like WiFi are not there, the library is nice, hostels are 6/10 and food is 5/10. Sports facilities are top-notch too. Medical facilities are also there.
Faculty: Faculty is very helpful and qualified, course curriculum is relevant and is helpful for one to get placement, and semester exams are moderately difficult. Passing percentage is around 45% now, used to be 30% for my batch for all the juniors, and upcoming batch it will be 45%.

NIT Hamirpur: The heaven for students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good . Facilities like wifi, libraries, labs, and sports are provided. Free wifi service is provided in hostels as well as in libraries. E-library is also provided where you can access previous year questions and books of your courses. Hostel mess food is quite bad. Medical facilities are also provided here.
Faculty: Two exams are conducted in a semester: midterm and endterm. Mid-semester is 30 marks and end-semester is 50 marks. The rest 20 marks are for internal. The passing percentage is 40%. Exams are not too tough. One can score good marks by referring to class notes. Faculty are helpful here.
