Placements: It is among the top NITs in the country, consistently ranking among the top 50 engineering colleges in India. Placement opportunities are quite good here for every branch. As a college of national reputation, many companies come for the campus placements. In NIT-Hamirpur, every year, more than 50 companies come for campus placements and around 90% of the students get placed. NITH boasts of an excellent placement consultancy and has many top recruiters coming for placement of students on campus. ...
Placements: As I am an architecture student, we don't usually get in campus placements. We have to work really hard for getting a job. But the college is concerned about B.Tech students and provides good placements for B.Tech students. The companies which came to the campus during our placement season were Infosys, Indian navy, Indian army, Paytm, Jaypee, L&T (mumbai and delhi branch) and many more. To be exact, I guess there were around 25-26 companies which came for recruitment. Electronics and computer ...
Placements: Placement differed from branch to branch. In civil engineering the highest package offered was 6 and the average package offered was 4.25. Major recruiter was Larsen and Toubro. Companies like Alstom, LnT, Afcons ,JSW, Futures First, EXL, AQ, MU SIGMA, KEC, HSBC, Avanti, Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Godrej.Internship in civil was provided by LnT only. NIT-Hamirpur is one of the most prestigious engineering college of India and is quite well established. The campus is quite beautiful with green environment and boasts of a large number of food courts and other facilities which includes well established departments and laboratories of all branches and a brilliant library. The college offers quality education and has some highly experienced and qualified faculty. Some very reputed companies are visiting the college even offering 100% placements i...
The college campus infrastructure is good but the placements are not so good particularly in the civil department. Being a civil engineering student what I feel is that there are fewer opportunities to get exposure in research field in NIT Hamirpur. The quality of the faculty members is not so good now as it used to be earlier due to more appointments of lecturers on a contract basis. The lab facilities are not up to the mark but the environment is great if you want to prepare for any competitiv...
The college campus is very beautiful. The infrastructure is also good. Facilities like sports, medical, library are good. Transportation facility outside the campus is not up to the mark. Some of the faculties are very good but some are average. Placement of CSE, EC are very good but civil and mechanical placements are not good in 2014.
This is a good place with good infrastructure and a perfect place for nature lovers. Faculty members are good and willing to help in any matter. People of Hamirpur are also supportive in all matters. As the location is on the foothills of Himalayan Mountains, college becomes remote to the vibrant environment of most of the urban areas which reduces your efficiency to keep pace with others all over the world. Despite this, facilities and services provided in the college help you in every way poss...
It is the second most beautiful campus in India situated in Hamirpur Himachal Pradesh. It has good labs, especially for the civil engineering mechanical engineering and electronics engineering branches. It also has good teaching quality, and the most important is that the placement record is also good for core branches such as CE,ME,EEE,ECE,etc,. The highest package for CS branch in the year 2014 is 16 LPA and in 2015 it is 17.5 LPA. For core branches highest package is 8.5 LPA in the year 2015...
It's a good college for engineering courses. It's a college of national importance. Placements are good here. Food quality of mess at respective hostels are good. It has a wonderful garden at the front of college main building. Climate is cool here. College life is really good, one has enough time to spend time in studies as well as other activities. What I feel is that there is a lack of awareness about the college in all over India.
I joined college 3 years ago. I was expecting lot from my college as it was considered as one of premier institute in the country as it was NIT. But it is not one as I hoped. This college do not get much placement package as we think. Faculty is not so good as on hoped. Campus is pretty nice bur we do not have much equipment’s in labs. We have to do practicals in group.
The college has huge infrastructure and facilities. Everything is latest and up to date. Some faculty are brilliant but most of them are on the average side. The main drawback of college is the casual attitude of the heads of the institute. Hostels are well maintained and other facilities like canteens , open air theatre , playground etc are well maintained and well furnished. Institute has an average placements record. I studied Masters in Transportation Systems Engineering which is offered und...
Nit Hamirpur is having one of the best beautiful campuses in India. It is surrounded by white mountains with fabulous climate. Faculty and seniors are really very much supportive. Ragging is strictly banned here. Placements are good here with an average package of 4.5 Lpa and highest package of 16 Lpa. The faculty is highly qualified and supportive. There are various clubs and societies in college to groove various talents in students. Two fests are organized in the campus annually which are uni...
Awesome infrastructure. Unsatisfactory teaching standards. Due to remote location, accessibility is an issue for companies giving in-campus job offers. Core placement is almost zero in Electronics. Overall average placements. Institute being located in a tiny town, students have very limited resources, impossible to get hardware components for circuit projects. No industry and research exposure. Excellent hostel accommodation facility. Lush green campus located amidst Himalayas.
It's a beautiful college, situated in the Himalayas. Classes are interactive, and practical aspects of engineering are inculcated in students. Two major fest are held in collage namely: Hill fair (cultural) and nimbus (tech). There are lot of activities that help your overall personality development. Sports facilities are awesome. Over and all it would be not just engineering but also an unforgettable phase of your life.
Campus life is great but placements are not good. Scenic beauty is the best here. Lot of places to roam around. Can go Manali or Dharamshala or Shimla to have fun. Faculty members are good but not best and infrastructure is too good. Some time back it was one of the emerging colleges in India but it has declined in foregoing years.
It is situated in the green hills of Hamirpur. A very beautiful college with an intelligent faculty. The college has an outstanding performance and result in each & everything, except in two things: - 1. Exposure is not good, as it is too far from any metro city like Chandigarh, Jalandhar & Delhi as you need to go there only to purchase anything for your projects, to attend exhibitions, workshops etc. 2. Placement: It’s unpredictable to comment. Sometimes, it goes up & sometimes it goes poor. Ov...
NIT Hamirpur (NITH) has been judged ‘the best NIT’ in terms of the infrastructure. It is among the top NITs in the country, consistently ranking among the top 50 govt. engineering colleges in India. It was ranked 23 by Outlook Survey in 2013. Spending 4 years at NITH, amidst the nature's lap, was a wonderful experience on its own. Apart from the picturesque scenic beauty, the placement of the college is consistent and maintained up to the mark as every year more than 50+ companies visit the camp...
It’s situated in a beautiful location so if you want to enjoy the nature then definitely NIT Hamirpur is just place for you. The infrastructure is great and cost is considerably less as compared to private institutes. Its a deemed university so discipline rules may change any time. Good to study but professors are not great rather good. Facilities are good as compared to other NIT's that I visited. Placements were not top notch when I studied but if you study well then no doubt you can get int...
Placements: The placement process is still ongoing, and currently, 75 percent of the students have been placed. I do not have data on the highest and lowest placement offers. As I am in my first year, I do not have a thorough understanding but can provide a rough idea based on what I have heard from my seniors. According to them, the highest placement offer was around 25-26 LPA in the CH branch, and the lowest was around 6 LPA.
