NITR-'The 1200 acre paradise'.
Placements: About 85-90% of students are placed in our batch. The highest package offered by our branch is 19 LPA and the average package is 7-8 LPA. LNT is the top recruiter of our course. Top roles like project director and assistant Executive Engineer are offered by this course.
Infrastructure: The hostel is well-equipped with a sports room, music room, reading room, TV room, day and night canteen, etc. Each person is allotted a double-sharing room. The food quality is good, but after a certain span of time, everything will have the same taste. Every room has a LAN port for accessing the internet.
Faculty: Every teacher is qualified with a Master's and Ph.D. from IITs. The course curriculum is not hectic at all and the semester exam is not much difficult. Generally, everything comes from the class notes and assignments. Nearly 95% of students pass. Generally, liberal marking is done.
Other: Due to vacancies in government posts, the Civil branch is preferred the most. The on-campus placement rate should be improved a bit. 4 fests (Vriddhi, Nitrutsav, Cosmo, Innovision) are held every year. The campus is of 1200 acres. Nearly 70 clubs are there.

Dream come true college.
Placements: NIT Rourkela has a very great record in terms of placement in all the branches. My branch has a placement rate of more than 90%. The highest package is 20+ LPA, and the average package is 9+ LPA in my branch. Big companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and Apple, along with many other companies, are the top recruiters at my college.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility lacks in our classrooms, but computer labs and libraries are well-equipped with Wi-Fi. Hostel rooms are a bit small, but we need to manage. Every food has its own water cooler and washing machines. Meal quality and taste are very good. In hostels we get LAN able, but we need to buy outer ourselves. We also have a dispensary located on our campus, which very much helps us when needed.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly experienced and very well versed in their respective subjects. They are very helpful towards the students in every aspect. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:15. There are mainly 2 exams named midsem and endsem. It's not tough to pass in a semester exam, but the odd semesters are relatively shorter in duration than the even semesters, which provides us less time to prepare for our exams.
Other: As per my rank, this was the best possible college for me. And it is ranked among the best colleges in India. The entrance was through the JEE Main Rank. As compared to other top colleges, it provides one of the best infrastructures and all the required facilities to the students. There are a lot of clubs covering almost every type of activity. The library is very vast and has a very huge number of books. The sports facilities are also very good.

It has really good infrastructure and faculty members at NIT Rourkela.
Placements: My batch has lots of smart and talented students. And as I told you, my course is Computer Science and Engineering. This course gives us vast knowledge about coding and programming languages. And in NIT Rourkela, top companies come to recruit talented students. The average package for the CSE branch is around 20L-25L.
Infrastructure: They have good and new infrastructure for the sports complex, and many more are in progress. The campus is very big, and there are all kinds of facilities like a hostel, a small clinic with the presence of a doctor 24x7, apartments for faculty members, a bookshop, and all kinds of needs that are required.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, and the teaching is good so far. The course is good too, but the exams are very rough. There is a library to study in during exam time, open until 12 AM, and you will get every book to study, and you can borrow them as well. And in the hostel, there is also a night canteen open to get some food while preparing for the exam.
Other: You can enjoy college life very much. And there are so many events, cultural fests, technical fests, and many more.

Fabulous college life with ups and downs.
Placements: The placement scenario is well taken care of considering last year. The highest salary package went up to 1.2 crores. The career development committee also focuses on overall skill development, as well as, appropriate promotions required for the incoming campus placement companies.
Infrastructure: Classrooms can hold 170-180 students at a time, while the lecture halls are massive and capable of holding around 300 students at a time. Hostel has facilities like washing machines, water cooler, 24-hour Wi-Fi, and theater. There is a variety of food offered in the mess throughout the week, as well as canteens, are available in all hostels.
Faculty: In the first semester, I had courses like engineering mechanics, weaves and optics, and advanced calculus all of which we taught by fantastic faculty members. The understanding of the concept was clear, and the questions and applications were also very much explained thoroughly. Semester exams mostly include questions from the class itself, the assignment, and some of the applications.
Other: There are various fest conducted throughout the year such as Cosmopolitan, Innovision, and Nitrutsav. All of the fest are held on weekends, so it doesn't hamper our studies.

Satisfied with the college, the facilities are good and overall we enjoy a lot.
Placements: The placement in Rourkela is good; it's in the top 3 NITS. Talking about placement in my course i.e civil engineering, it is decent; the average placement for this course is around 9 LPA, which is very less if you compare it with cs but 9 LPA in civil engineering is a decent amount to be paid as a starting package; the highest package goes around 30 LPA, so if you study well, then you can have a decent package of around 12-13 LPA, which is pretty good in this course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this college is good. You have good network connectivity in classroom labs and library. We get LAN connection in hostels. For girls, we get a BF hall. In the 1st year, it's more like a flat apartment. We are 2 people in 1 room. The size of the room is good. The mess can be improved a little. Sports facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers of our course are very well qualified and knowledgeable. They teach in a very good way. We just had mid-sem teachers who did help us by taking extra doubt sessions after classes so that we could resolve our doubts. We do get assignments relevant to the topics we study, and all these things are relevant to the course.

The percentage/marks that a university or a college needs to enrol students till a certain score could be defined as cut-off marks. Different colleges have different cut-offs like SRCC had 98% last year.
