Placements in the college were great, but the core companies we're little less, and the dual degree placements were very bad though.

NIT Rourkela: Value for money.
Placements: The average salary package for the 2023 graduating class was 15 lakhs per annum, and the highest salary package was 83 lakhs per annum. Approximately 90% of students were placed. Students secured jobs in a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, IT, and consulting.
Infrastructure: Our college classrooms are well maintained and have air conditioning in each room. The college also uses newer technology, such as digital boards and projectors. The library is a popular study spot for students because it contains a variety of books and provides a quiet environment for study. The hostel provides a moderate quality of food in the mess, but the authority ensures proper hygiene. Students have access to many facilities, such as indoor and outdoor games facilities, a reading room for study, and a TV room for entertainment.
Faculty: The faculty members at this college are very knowledgeable in their subjects, having earned their Ph.D. degrees from reputable IITs. They are also very caring and responsive to students' questions. The difficulty of the exams depends on the students. If a student is serious about their future, they can pass with good grades and enjoy college life without too much study pressure.
Other: I prepared a lot for the joint entrance examination, but for some reason I didn't make it to the IITs. The best government colleges after the IITs are the NITs, so I decided to join NIT Rourkela, which is in my home state and is one of the top 5 NITs. After JoSAA counseling, I got this branch, which is one of the toughest in engineering and requires a lot of hard work. I want to change this burden on students.

I am satisfied with all facilities and faculty here, and I am happy about my college.
Placements: About 90% of the students are placed who studied Electrical Engineering at NIT Rourkela. The remaining members mostly choose M.Tech or other alternatives rather than the job. The highest package is around 83 LPA, the lowest package is 3 LPA, and the average package was 15.7 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, BPCL, and Wipro. About 50% of students got internships from our course in various companies like Microsoft, Wipro, and Deloitte. Top roles in our course were Electrical Design Engineer, Power Systems Engineer, Testing and Quality Engineer, and Power Plant Engineer.
Infrastructure: Classrooms were very large, very good, and very comfortable. The library is very big, and we can find a wide range of books there. We are able to know from the computer which books are available and where they are located. When it comes to Wi-Fi, it is quite slow in hostels; the maximum it can reach is 20 Mbps. We face a little issue with Wi-Fi speed, and it was quite disappointing. The labs were very good, and there is no problem at all.
Faculty: Some teachers are very good, and some are quite bad. We can learn only 5% in class; the remaining we have to work out in our free time. Yes, the course curriculum was good, and it makes students very strong to face any type of interview in the future. The semester exams are quite difficult, but if we study regularly, we can easily crack it and perform better.
Other: I opted for this course because I love Electrical Engineering, and according to my rank, I thought NIT Rourkela was better to study. We worked very hard to study at NIT, and I am proud to study here. They should improve the Wi-Fi speed for better performance, as Wi-Fi speed is very low, and everything else is very good. We know that there are limited seats for each course, so there is not much crowd on campus, as the campus is very large (about 800 acres). There are many fests going on, and we can enjoy a lot at the fests. There are many extracurricular activities in our college. We play every sport, and there are different clubs for music, dance, and photography.

Best facilities are in our college.
Placements: 80% of students are placed every year in our college. The highest packages is 44 LPA and the lowest packages are 3.2 to 5 LPA, with an average package of 7 to 9 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Infosys, IBM, Google, Meta, Genpact, etc. More than 500 students are placed in good companies for internships as well as jobs guarantees.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good and newly painted. Most of the area is green, both inside and outside the college. Our department is the best because we get all the facilities from them, like exam books, internet connections, Wi-Fi and clean classrooms. Hostel food is good.
Faculty: Teachers are well trained and have more years of experience in teaching. They are well qualified from top-reputed colleges. The teaching facilities in our college, especially in our courses, are very good. The course curriculum is relevant to new trends and students learn practically, which makes them ready for the industry. For the semester exams like 7th and 8th, the passing percentage is 67%.

Review of NIT Rourkela - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Electrical engineering placements were very good and have 100% placements. For the academic year 2023-2024, the highest package was 43.26 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA and the average package is about 8.3 LPA. About 33% of students got internship and companies recruited from electrical engineering are Visa, BPCL, Bajaj Electricals, and Tata Steel. The students who were placed in software companies got a role as software developers, and those who were placed in core companies got a role as electrical executive.
Infrastructure: When it comes to the electrical department, both the electrical and electronics departments are in the same building and it's spacious. Many labs related to electrical are present .And in the college hostel, there were many halls of residence with wifi and other facilities. Food in the mess was not up to the mark but it's okay; we can manage.
Faculty: The faculty of NITR are highly qualified. They are very attached to the students and explain everything well and they help not only with the exams but also with knowledge to improve in your life .And the exams were very tough. According to the department you are in, the pass percentage will be defined.

My opinion on NIT ROURKELA.
Placements: This college offers one of the best placements in India. The placements here are made easy with the help of the placement coordinator here. There is an online test (OT) then for which you will be shortlisted for an interview. The placements here have been very satisfactory. I have a friend who has received placement of 28LPA in the core section. Nothing to worry about that department as a decent CGPA will guarantee your placement here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college hostel is very poor. The maintenance is very rarely done and the time for renewal of facilities like windows and tube light have elapsed far back. The facilities here are very old and the only modern thing here is a washing machines which is to be used by 64 people and it constantly gets complain for which you need to wait weeks on end to get proper maintenance .
Faculty: The correction of exams and lenience is dependent on your professors and most of them do indeed give marks for attempted questions and also step marks. Still the exams especially Maths is really difficult if you are like me and only start studying one week before exams.
