College is good with good placements records.
Placements: In 2023, 87% of students were placed in the production engineering branch with the highest package of 38 LPA and an average of 14 LPA. Students get placed in both tech and non-tech companies. Top recruiters were Bosch, Tesla, Toyota, and many recruiters from different fields. All companies for the data science domain open up, but specific companies open for SDE roles.
Infrastructure: Hostels are good and equipped with excellent Wi-Fi services. The top speed of Wi-Fi ranges from 500-600 Mbps. Each room has its own Wi-Fi. Mess is also good. Both veg and non-veg options are available for students. 1st-year students were given hostel GATE and Garnet, in which GATE is quite good compared to Garnet because of spacious rooms.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified with Ph.D. from renowned institutes like IITs. Some of the professors have honors from international institutes. The production course is chill, and students find extra time for extracurricular activities and courses relevant to industry with numerous labs. In each semester, two CTs (cycle tests) and one end-sem are taken, and above 90-95 percent of students get passed.
Other: The best thing about this branch is that you get very much time to brush up on your extracurricular skills and find opportunities in various sectors rather than going into core. Various events are organized in NITT. Its main fest, which is Festember, is South India's largest fest, while Pragyan is also a large technical fest where students from different colleges come here to showcase their skills. Sportsfete is also organized on a large scale where numerous sports events are held.

NIT TRICHY, The Pride of India.
Placements: I am a first-year student so I don't know much about placements, but the placements are good in both quality and quantity. Seniors say that average packages for even non-circuit branches are ranging from 12-14 LPA. NIT Trichy has good packages in comparison to even some IITs.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi and all that are too good. Labs are fully equipped with the latest instruments. Some hostels are a bit old but this doesn't concern most as all the facilities are there like water availability, Wi-Fi facility, etc. Mess facilities are very decent or I should say above average.
Faculty: This should not be a negative point, but the curriculum is very strict. Although teachers are very helpful and kind and most importantly they are well-qualified. Exams for a few subjects are a bit tough, which gives you a vibe that you are studying in a college that comes under the top 10 colleges in India.

Make a well thought out judgement, considering all factors.
Placements: A variety of roles come, but the majority are software development and data analytics related. Those are also the most lucrative ones. Preference is given to circuital branches by companies during hiring. The average package for core is 12 LPA. The Training and Placement cell takes good care of managing the entire placement drive. Students do internships from 3rd year onwards. Very few core branch folks choose to stick to their field.
Infrastructure: Hostel buildings are all very old, with some not even having drinking water supply. Wi-Fi has recently been installed in each room and works fine. The Wi-Fi issue you might have read at other places has been resolved. The walls of the hostel are really old, and some even leak during rains. No such indoor games are available inside the hostel, although some have badminton and basketball courts.
Faculty: In the first year, all branches have the same introductory curriculum. The teachers are alright, and the methodology is very old-school. The use of projectors and PowerPoint, although, is very common. There are two cycle tests and 1 end-semester examination. Apart from that, lab practical assignments and quizzes are frequent.
Other: The college is located far from any urban center and has no semblance of human activity outside of campus. As a North Indian, you will face difficulty in adjusting to the culture here.

Review of National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli.
Placements: Almost 75 percent of students in the Production Engineering department get placed each year. The highest salary offered was INR 18 lacs per annum, the lowest was INR 4 lacs per annum, and the average was INR 7 lacs per annum. Students were offered positions in the PD department at companies like Tesla, Honda, and Bosch.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available everywhere on campus. The labs are high-tech and modern. Classrooms are spacious, and the library has a sufficient amount of resources. Hostel facilities are very good, the food is amazing, and the canteen has a lot to offer. No matter where you are from, you will love the food.
Faculty: Teachers teach well; they are well educated and humble, and they want their students to succeed in their careers. The course curriculum makes us industry-ready and helps us get placed in top companies. Semester exams happen in a timely manner, and almost 90 percent of students pass them.
Other: I chose this course because that is what I got. My course could have been a little bit more practical than conceptual. Events are wonderful and exciting.

Would absolutely recommend this college.
Placements: In the 2021- 2022 session, 78 students registered for placements and 71 students were placed. The highest package was 32LPA, the minimum package was 5LPA, and the average box was 11LPA. Internships are also high in this course, and most students get placed in consultancy roles. Top recruiters in the college are Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, etc.
Infrastructure: The hostel rooms are good and fast Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. Classrooms are large, and the labs are good, modern and functional. The library is vast and has Lacs of books. Mess food is decent, but there are many canteens available on campus. Sports facilities are top-notch, with provisions general for almost all sports. The grounds are also well maintained. There is a hospital on campus, free for students.
Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified in the college. The teaching quality is also good, but some self-study is required. The course curriculum is also very industry relevant, due to recent developments pushing towards Make-In-India. Semester exams are doable in college if you study consistently from the start.

No, you can't as NIT Trichy is among the best NIT with a good rank, so getting a seat with such a percentile is quite tough. Most of the students with 95+ percentile manage to get a seat in NIT, Trichy. Category wise somehow you can manage. Predict here you chances: https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/re
