Additionally, the number of seats available for the BTech lateral entry programmes is 10, while the four-year BTech programme offers 20 seats. The modes of North-Eastern Hill University course admissions are offline and online. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. At the undergraduate level, the university offers B.Tech, B.Arch, and various other courses to students. At the postgraduate level, the university provides MSc, M.Com, MA, and various other courses to students. North-Eastern Hill University also provides PhD and various other courses to students. The competition is high and the seats are limited so apply early for admission to various courses.

Candidates who opted the university when registering for the CUET exam are entitled to request for admission counselling.
