I am satisfied with placements, good infrastructure, and average faculty members.

Placements: Placements provided in our college are good compared to other private colleges. Around 90% of students related to computers and their related branches get placed. The highest salary package offered by Amazon is 25 LPA. The internship ratio is good.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. The library and senior hostels have very good infrastructure. Playgrounds are made for students for cricket, football, hockey, and courts for badminton, lawn tennis, basketball, and table tennis.

Faculty: Teaching is not up to the mark. Our college is more focused on conducting exams in any condition. Our college has made history in taking offline exams during covid. Exams are easy compared to other colleges but maintaining CGPA is difficult.

Other: I chose this course as ENC is the best.

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: The placement percentage record is quite good. In the previous year, almost 95% of students from the ENC branch got placed in companies like Deloitte, ZS Associates, Wipro, Bajaj Auto, etc. It provides ample internship opportunities for students. In the previous year, a total of 1200 students got an internship in companies like DE Shaw, JP Morgan, Maruti Suzuki, etc. Roles like software developer, frontend developer, code developer for Java, OOPS, C+, SQL, etc., are offered to the students.

Infrastructure: Thapar has one of the best libraries in the country, and it covers an area of 25,000 square feet. The library is fully air-conditioned with more than one lac books of reference, course materials and textbooks. Wi-Fi facility is available around the campus, which usually gives a speed of about 1.5 Mbps. Labs are well-equipped with all the instruments. There are iconic hostels M and N for both boys and girls, with a new hostel O coming up with beautiful infrastructure. Adequate medical attention is provided to students, and sports training is conducted regularly on campus.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and easily approachable. Sometimes they might just brush up on the syllabus too quickly. We have e-content available on the Thapar learning management system, where all the assignments and recorded video lectures are available. In the ENC branch, we have core subjects of electronics and computers like digital systems, data structures and algorithms, operating systems, analogue systems, etc.

Other: I have chosen this course because the placement record is good though ENC is a new and hybrid branch at Thapar. It makes a person industry-ready in both electronics and computer fields. We have various societies like MLSC, Enactus, OWASP, CCS, DSC, FROSH, etc., which usually engage students in extracurricular activities and make college life enjoyable.
