Candidates with 55% marks in the qualifying examination are eligible for admission. Such candidates must have a minimum of two years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ educational and research institutions/any Government Department of Government Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.
Note: First preference will be given to GATE qualified candidates.

Other: Infinite events that happen here help in improving organizing skills, help in personality development. The placements are good. The university is great with a strong alumni association and the new director is very supportive. The reputation of the university is also great.
It is comparable to many NITs if not better than some of them.

Review of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Placements in our college are great. It provides both on-campus as well as off-campus placements. For placements, we get trained from the 3rd year, and by the time we reach the 4th year, we are well-trained. Almost 99% of students from our course get placed. Many students get more than one job offer. The minimum salary package offered is 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: It has air-conditioned computer laboratories. It has a huge library with good quality books. There is no need to buy books for semesters as all books are available in the library. Online books are also available. The college has hygienic bathrooms on every floor for both boys and girls. The college has a free Wi-Fi facility inside the campus. The college has different clubs according to one's interest. The library is amazing.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly educated and experienced. They guide us in all the ways. Our courses are well-planned. Our teachers make us understand topics through presentations as well as practicals to get a job. They are great.
