Not Satisfied with the college.
Placements: 1. Candidates must score a minimum of 80-85% in JEE Main. 2. The highest package is 18 LPA, the average is 6 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. If you clear the Personal Interview (PI) and have some skills, then you get the job; otherwise, they reject you. Also, focus on your communication skills.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available in the hostel. Rooms are supposed to have a capacity of two members, but they accommodate three. Labs are satisfactory, but some instruments are old and occasionally not functional. The library is average, neither particularly good nor bad. The food quality is poor and unhealthy. Students are not allowed to play games. Medical facilities are not available in the hostel. The college charges high fees but provides cheap facilities. It's advisable not to rely on their college website.
Faculty: Teachers possess knowledge, but they often fail to share it with students, with many opting to simply display PDFs on the smart board and scroll through them quickly. As a result, students struggle to understand their teaching methods. Exams are inevitably challenging because we lack sufficient knowledge of the subjects due to the shortcomings of our lecturers.
Other: I'm not opting for this course, it's clear to me. Events are enjoyable because students organize them. If I had the authority, I would dismiss all teachers because students learn from YouTube, not from them. Please teach us as if we were your own children. You'll receive a scholarship if you're eligible.

Review of Surendra Sai University of Technology.
Placements: More than 75% of students got placed in the previous year. The lowest salary package offered is 7 LPA and the highest salary package is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Mahindra, TCS, and Tata Steel. Around 90% of students got internships in government companies. Students can choose either core or software background.
Infrastructure: Our college has large classrooms, each sufficient for 120 students. Labs are provided with well-functional equipment. There are varieties of labs with all the requirements.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, experienced, and motivate students. They help students to involve in extracurricular activities. Teachers make the concept very clear and provide hands-on experience. They clear the doubts of the students and broaden their thoughts.

Good academic curriculum.
Placements: 60% of students were placed in our course in the previous year. While our placement is going on. The highest package offered to them was 14 LPA, and the lowest package offered was 5 LPA. Vedanta, JSW, Aditya Birla Group, Marquee Semiconductor, Tata Power, Tata Electronics—these are some of the most recruiting companies for our stream. For freshers, general engineer trainee is the top role. Whereas, after 1 year, they give the role of assistant manager.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good. Wi-Fi is good. Labs, classrooms, and libraries are in very good condition. Hostel facilities like rooms, washrooms, and authorities are good. Whereas food is like other normal hostels, which is not value for money. Sports and games are good. There is a gymnasium in every hostel. Canteen is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are futuristic. Their knowledge is good. Teaching quality is good. Course curriculum is relevant and futuristic. Semester exams are good, if you have read. Pass percentage is 33.33%. Students find it relevant in their internship period. Teaching quality is good too.
Other: Electrical and Electronics Engineering is my favourite course because of it's duality. Fest is good. Connectivity is good. Better alumni network.

If you do not get an opportunity in NIT and IIT, I recommend to join this college.
Placements: Around 80% of students got placed in this course. The average salary package offered was 7.26 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 23 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3.4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Jindal, HCL, etc. Many students got internships at BSNL, Microsoft, Google, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are equipped with smart boards. Classrooms are not air-conditioned. Few classrooms are not maintained properly. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled and provides 34 MB per day. There is a decent library in this college. Hostel is very good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. The teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry. We have to study through online courses and internships. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: It is one of the top colleges under state government in Odisha. Our college should provide air-conditioners in all classrooms. The syllabus should be industry related and we can also gather information about AutoCAD and graphic design. Many cultural clubs and societies are available in this college. Events are conducted such as Samavesh Vassaunt, the cultural cum technical fest, convocation ceremony, TedX, etc. Sports events are organised in this college. Many top branches are available such as CSE, EEE, IT, EE, etc. This college is situated in a good place.

VSSUT formerly known as the University College of Engineering, Burla.
Placements: Top recruiting companies like Amazon, Byjus, Accenture, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, IBM, Vedant, Aditya Birla, Tata Steel, Jaro, JSPL, Nineleaps, Deltax, etc., visit the college for placements. For internships, almost all students apply in many good companies like Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, DRDO, L&T, etc. It is very good institute in placement and being a government college, companies prefer to recruit from this college.
Infrastructure: In our college, there are well-furnished rooms with modern toilets and other amenities like color TV, computer, Wi-Fi internet facilities, newspapers, and magazines are available for the students. The hostel fees are as per the guidelines of the state government of Odisha. The Dean of Student Welfare (DSW) is the overall in charge of all students' activities at the University. The discipline in the individual hostels is looked after by the warden and assistant wardens of the hostels. Faculty level mess and hostel welfare committee carry out periodical inspections as well as surprise checks of the quality of food and modus operandi of food preparation and food servicing by the caterer. The students' committee refer the complaint to the faculty committee as above. Breakfast, Lunch, evening snacks, and dinner is prepared separately in respective hostels. LPG is used for cooking to maintain healthy and hygienic conditions. Washing machines, TV, and equipment for indoor/outdoor games are available. Students are not allowed to cook meals in their rooms.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Some have to be appreciated for their knowledge but some are below average. One maintains a daily track record sheet, where he estimates in advance the hours of lecture to be delivered. I have seen him noting down the topics covered after the dismissal of class. He does this for every subjects he teach. He maintains a very high level of professionalism and a healthy relationship between his students. He never had any type of personal grudges toward his students. He ensures that the course syllabus to be completed before 15-20 days in spite of so many mass bunks. He once invited me and some of our classmates for an open discussion of its solution and at the end, he said he was short falling for that idea so he called us. This is something to be noted and it shows how dynamic his thought process is.
Other: There are 3 main fests of the college in which students from outside colleges also take part. Samavesh, the techno fest, Vassaunt, the cultural fest, and Ilumina, the sports fest are conducted on campus. Apart from this, branch fests of different branches are conducted. Various workshops are conducted from time to time.

In terms of getting quality education, Odisha University of Technology and Research andVeer Surendra Sai University of Technology are almost equal.
