This is basically the best government college to study, having great infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Around 90 percent of students were placed in my course every year. The highest package was 48 LPA, and the lowest was 2 LPA. It goes on an average of 5-6 LPA every year. Many companies like Cognizant and TCS are top recruiters of my course. 80% of students get internships in companies like TCS and Cognizant as Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET), Network Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.
Infrastructure: Different labs are present in the college for each branch. There's always a high scope of getting jobs. Wi-Fi is available 24/7, and classrooms are clean. You can get all the books in the library. The hostel has very good facilities where they always clean the floor, and the food is very hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified to teach us and are highly knowledgeable. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are quite tough enough to make students well-prepared for their future, and the passing percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course because it is the best course to study here, as we can go into both software and branch lines. I wish that they increase the facility of providing knowledge about Computer Science a bit more to our branch.

The college is worth it and value for money.
Placements: About 55% of the students at ETC were placed this year (2024). The highest package offered was 12 LPA, and the lowest was 3 LPA. The average package was around 6.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Deloitte, Marquee Semiconductor, IserveU, Tata Electronics, TalentServe, TCS, Capgemini, and Cognizant. Almost all students were offered internships by various companies. Top roles offered include senior developer and graduate engineer trainee.
Infrastructure: All the basic facilities and amenities that students require are present on campus and in the hostels. The labs are well-equipped with modern technologies and systems, and Wi-Fi is available on campus and in the hostels. Classrooms are well-ventilated and equipped with smart boards for better, interactive learning. There is a central library that contains various types of books, journals, and articles, and also has books of different genres. Hostels have good facilities for accommodation and food; food quality is quite manageable. Medical facilities are available 24/7. There are grounds for various sports and equipment for each sport. There are also gym facilities in the hostels with modern equipment.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, student-friendly, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good enough to understand the courses in different semesters. There are assessment forms for lectures. The course is relevant and helps to provide solutions to modern world problems. It makes students industry-ready, provided that they are punctual enough to learn. Mid-semester examinations are quite easy to pass; the situation becomes more critical for the end-semester examinations. One has to score 35% to pass the exam (this includes the mid-semester exam, end-semester exam, and practicals).
Other: The electronics industry is one of the leading sectors in the future, which makes sense for choosing this course. It gives practical insights into how different electronic items work. Improvements to the course could include giving vocational training to students. Branch fests and hackathons are conducted to foster a healthy, competitive environment. Both government and private scholarships are given to eligible students. There are different clubs for extracurricular activities.

Good for core enthusiasts.
Placements: The placements at my college are average. Despite what they say on their website and in person, the placements are mediocre at best. Last year, the best placements were in metallurgy and core branches, with an average package of 9-11 LPA. Non-core companies offered very low salaries, averaging 4-5.5 LPA. Students who found jobs on their own should give credit to the college for providing the resources to help them succeed.
Infrastructure: The labs have new equipment, but they are not using it; instead, they are using all the old equipment. A new building is under construction, and most academic activities will move there, so perhaps they will start using the new equipment then. As for the hostels, only one is new (Agastya Boys HOR); the others are old and have poor hygiene facilities. The food is mediocre, and the Wi-Fi doesn't work in some hostels. The classrooms are good and equipped with smart boards.
Faculty: The faculty in some branches are helpful and good, but in others the environment is toxic. Exams are conducted on time with a high level of strictness. However, the syllabus for non-core branches needs to be updated and reviewed, as it is outdated and doesn't help students get placed in good companies. Students have to take time out of academics to study the syllabus, rather than it being included in the course itself.

Come to learn, live to grow, and leave to serve.
Placements: Before joining this college, I heard a lot of things like the oldest engineering college in Odisha. It is one of the best engineering colleges for core subjects. There is no doubt that it is a very good college. It is very behind from the spot where it should be now. The placement cell is newly made and well-maintained from inside to outside. But unfortunately, it was terrible for last year's branch. Almost 65% of students from our branch got placed. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: We are allocated to Anuradha Hall of Residence in the first year. All first years are allocated to this hostel. The food is excellent. Our in time is 6 PM. Security is excellent. But I think our hostel is very far from the hostel. It may take 20-30 minutes just to reach college if I go for a walk. Wi-Fi is available. The library facility is excellent. The laboratory is outdated. Need serious reconditioning. The sports event named Illumina is held every year. You can participate and play whichever game you feel good. There is active participation from the girls' side too.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. Their way of teaching is a bit average. The course curriculum is a bit outdated as far as I know, but you will get clear on your basics. You can ask doubts to teachers. They are cooperative. To become industry-ready, you also have to do something from your side too, it's not always the college that provides all skills and abilities. Semester exams are difficult. You need to study actively if you want to pass and score a 9 CGPA mark.
Other: I was a dropper. Unfortunately, JEE results didn't come in my favor. This is the place where my fate led me to. If you are interested in the core, then this course is excellent. I would recommend updating the syllabus with new AI workshops and VLSI. Please end that MATLAB stuff as soon as possible. Events are good. There will be a branch fest named Techtronics, a cultural fest named Vassaunt, and a technical fest named Samavesh. The market is right outside hostel. Hence connectivity is good.

Not gonna say satisfied, but not dissatisfied either.
Placements: The placement cell is newly made and well maintained from inside to outside. But unfortunately, for the ETC branch, it's terrible for the last year. Coding companies came in bulk, but there is a very rare sign of core companies. Almost 70 percent of students from the ETC branch were placed.
Infrastructure: The hostel is well maintained. Wi-Fi is available. You will be given everything required for a student to study. If you compare the hostel facilities with hostel food, then it's decent. Hostels have their own grounds, and you can play there. There are common toilets on every floor. The environment is good for study.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and good at teaching. Some portions are outdated, but at least you will learn something. The exam patterns are divided into three portions: Mid semester, End semester, and internal exams. You have to score well in all three to get an outstanding grade.
Other: The best thing about this course is that it consists of both core and coding parts. The syllabus is huge and also difficult at times, but it's interesting. Every batch consists of 180 students. There will be a branch fest named Techtronics, a cultural fest named Vassaunt, and a technical fest named Samavesh.

You may get ETC in VSSUT since the usual cutoff for ETC is about 120,000 every year. But I can't say this for sure if you're a general male. You may have a chance. As far as counseling is concerned, keep an eye on the OJEE website and fill choices as per your preferences once the counseling process
