BITSAT 2021 last minute preparation tips:

A few tips and tricks are given below to help BITSAT 2021 aspirants boost their scores:

Time Management

It is important to have speed and accuracy in BITSAT. It is always better to know an efficient way of solving a problem in less time for BITSAT, gives the candidate a competitive edge. To reach this standard, a candidate must be well-versed in concepts to such an extent, that he must be able to reproduce the content instantly from the chapters asked in the test. That would also become possible, only by repeated practice of mock tests, which would gradually help a student build his speed and accuracy skills. Even while taking BITSAT, it is next to impossible to revise all the 150 questions that a candidate may have attempted. Hence, it is advised to attempt all the questions the first time, in such a way that maximum errors are avoided.

Speed is the Key

In BITSAT there are 125 questions on PCM, of which 40 questions each are in Physics and Chemistry, and 45 in Maths. The test duration is three hours. Candidates must try to solve all the questions as quickly as possible. Students must not stick to one question for long as it will reduce the time to attempt other questions.

Practice Short-types Questions

BITSAT demands a strong grasp of the fundamentals in every subject limits itself to questions that are both short and tricky. Most of the question paper is also highly formula based, which is why a complete practice of short questions is recommended.

Practice for Each Subject

Mathematics generally consumes the highest time in BITSAT. Chemistry, Physics, English and Logical Reasoning should be attempted in the rest of the time available after allotting time for Mathematics. Questions from English and Logical Reasoning do not require much time to solve for a candidate. Based on a few similar considerations, time can be distributed across various subjects accordingly.

English Reasoning Section in BITSAT

Along with PCM, there are two more sections in BITSAT – English and Logical Reasoning (with 15 and 10 questions, respectively). It’s important that you have a strong command of the language and have referred to sample papers similar to the type of English questions in last year’s BITSAT.

Practice BITSAT mock tests online

Attempting an online examination is way different from taking the same offline. In the offline mode, the candidate has the convenience of referring to any question of his choice, which in the case of BITSAT in an online mode, is not available. However, to get used to taking BITSAT in an online mode, candidates are advised to practice as many online mock tests as possible to get the edge of which is going to be given, to feel comfortable on the day of the exam.

Don’t leave out on English

English section of BITSAT has only 15 questions, due to which it can get undermined at times. But given the cut-throat competition in BITSAT, if this section is attempted well, this could prove to be a differentiator for the candidate, in terms of their final score. Hence, the candidate is advised to put the best of his efforts into this section.

Keep calm and have the presence of mind

With a good speed to solve questions in BITSAT, it’s also important that you keep yourself calm and compose. When we solve questions in hurry, we tend to make silly mistakes. Try to avoid them and maintain accuracy. If a candidate puts the right amount of effort into BITSAT, would they get the perfect result they deserve? All that is required to crack BITSAT is dedication, devotion, and determination, success shall automatically follow.
