There are excellent facilities and good infrastructure.
Placements: B.Sc. (H) for zoology is a new department in BCAS (DU) inaugurated in 2017. Though the department is new in college, it has the best faculty members and lab staff. No placements have been reported till date, yet a lot of efforts are made to make placement successful.
Infrastructure: There are well-equipped laboratories in college, along with costly equipment like autoclave, laminar flow chambers, pH meters, spectrometer and many more. The library is large, spacious and contains almost all books and journals related to syllabus and entrance exams. Even the campus has free Wi-Fi access, which makes academic interaction more feasible. The college canteen is good in terms of quality of food and hygiene.
Faculty: I feel lucky to be able to gain knowledge from such knowledgeable teachers. Each teacher has their own way of teaching, that makes the subjects interesting. The syllabus is wide and multi-disciplinary, which makes an all-round academic development of the students.
Other: I have chosen zoology (H) because I'm highly interested in researches, tools and techniques developed to treat the animal as well as human diseases. BCAS is an only science college which makes it special in its own way. College campus is big, spacious and good in infrastructure. The college organises annual fest of 2 days every year, and also departmental fests are held each year. Besides that, ECA activities happen all round the year. College provides scholarship to the best students selected through a proper, well-conducted manner. The campus is less crowded and less noisy, which makes learning peaceful.
