Q:   Which is a better college among Hindu College, LSR and Hansraj for BA (Hons) admission?

A:

All these colleges under the University of Delhi, namely Hindu, Hans Raj and LSR are considered to be the top colleges for Arts, Science and Commerce education. The following table contains a fee range and median salary comparison of Hans Raj College with other top colleges of DU offering BA & BA (Hons) courses:

College Name

BA & BA (Hons) Fee Range

BA & BA (Hons) Median Salary

Hans Raj College

INR 540*

INR 6.50 LPA

Hindu College

INR 52,680 - INR 52,770*

INR 7.11 LPA

LSR College

INR 46,110 - INR 77,610*

INR 6.5 LPA

*The above fee and salary information is taken from unofficial sources and hence, is indicative. Students are requested to visit the official website to get more details on the same.

Based on the components mentioned in the above table, Hans Raj College seems to be the most affordableoption of the three. However, that is not the same. After adding all the other admission fee components in the tuition fee, the total fee for BA (Hons) will go almost to the level of LSR and Hindu. However, the median salary offered at all the three is closed to each other with Hindu being on the top. Hence, students are required to consider the return on investment by comparing the overall fee and return salary to make a final decision. The final decition must also depend on the availability of the specialisation that a sudent is willing to get into and other factors, such as location proximity with their residence, preference of course available, among others

Hindu college is the best college in India.
Placements: In my opinion, college placements are normal. Packages depend upon your stream. Many students want to get government job in Hindu college. Many students selected in various fields like Defences, UPSC state PSC and SSC. B.Sc. and B.A. courses are very nice. I think placements are good. 5 to 6% get job and placed in companies.
Infrastructure: Library is very nice; I study daily in the library. Sports ground is very big. Canteen is good but rate is high. Infrastructure is very nice. Now, new building's construction in under process. Food quality is good. Hostel is awesome but hostel fees is very high.
Faculty: Teachers are good and well qualified. Semester exams are so easy. You can easily pass them. Pass percentage is 40% in hons courses. All department of quality, their teachers are nice too.
Other: Campus crowd is normal compared to other colleges. College life is peaceful there.

Hindu as a college is the best place you can go to.
Placements: As we all know Hindi is not a subject where you can get placed easily, there are no placement facilities in the college for the language group. However the faculty here gets you ready for the life ahead, Hindi as a bachelor's degree doesn't hold much value, that is quite saddening, but that doesn't mean you can just give up on Hindi.
Infrastructure: The facilities are the best here, Hindu college is not any random college. The best library, reading space, healthy classrooms. Hindi department of Hindu college is the best. Hostel food is great, canteen has tasty food and amazing staff.
Faculty: The faculty in Hindu college is second to none I have never seen more supportive teachers in any other department. Semester exams are not that tough if you study hard. Nothing comes without hard work, Hindu gives you an atmosphere where you will always be encouraged to learn and grow more, to better yourself at every point.
Other: The doors of Hindu college is open to all the sections of the society, giving the space for students to grow, explore and better themselves. Being here was one of the best decisions I took.

It is the best college to take admission.
Placements: Everything on the campus is well. There are thousands of students in our college, every year it takes around 913 students in all courses. Many students prefer inter-college because of its faculty members. Many students also get internships from our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very developed and overall it is very good. Classrooms, library, labs, Wi-Fi and everything is of very good quality. The hostel is also very good and it provides free of cost to sportspersons. Games, canteen, and medicine facilities are of perfect quality.
Faculty: There are around 70 students in our batch. Teachers help us a lot. All professors are very good and they are well experienced and of top quality. It's not very tough to pass semester exams as teachers help a lot and the notes that you make when teachers teach help a lot in the examination.
Other: Sports and other things on the campus are very good. Events are organised hugely. Different societies of college organise different events online and offline. The campus crowd and the connectivity with the people and the professors are very good and the campus surroundings are very good as there are many other colleges located together on the North campus. Scholarships are also very good provided in the valley and many private companies also offer scholarships. There are many activities where you can learn dance, music, sports and they try to enhance your abilities and capability to work in a better way for society and for our country. The environment on the campus is very eco-friendly.

This college is worth it.
Placements: As far as I know, Hindu College doesn't provide any placement for arts courses. I don't know about any other course. You can get other opportunities like internships in the various societies of this college itself. Other things depend on you.
Infrastructure: The college has a great infrastructure. From fully equipped laboratories, libraries to the gym, badminton court, 2 playgrounds for cricket and football. There is a great cafeteria and other food outlets like a canteen and many more. The entire campus is Wi-Fi-friendly. There are separate hostels for girls and boys which accommodate UG and PG students.
Faculty: The quality of teaching is good. Many workshops, fests, hackathons, etc., are always in the row to let the students understand the current advancements of technology and improve themselves. You can get various experiences.
Other: The campus is lush with greenery, beautiful buildings, parks, and much more. Apart from the academic activities, the students engage in various co-curricular activities like public speaking, singing, sports, debates, poems, arts, etc., with many cultural clubs and technical clubs to boost not just the academic life but also the social life.
