NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, IIT Jodhpur ranks #27 under the category 'Engineering'.

IIT Jodhpur admission 2026 are open. Students can apply directly through the official page. A few more updates are given below:

The GATE COAP 2026 registration link is active for admission to the ME/MTech programmes. The GATE COAP 2026 round 1 window to view offers and make a decision will be opened on May 11, 2026 (10 AM).
The JEE Advanced 2026 application form will be available from Apr 23, 2026, to May 2, 2026, for admission to the BE/BTech course. Also, the JEE Advanced exam 2026 will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
The JEE Main 2026 registration for session 2 has closed for IIT Jodhpur admission to BTech, BArch and BPlan courses. The session 2 exams will be conducted from Apr 2 to Apr 9, 2026.
The IIT JAM 2026 counselling registration is open for admission to the MSc course, with the last date being set on Apr 15, 2026. Also, the first admission list will be declared tentatively on May 25, 2026.
MTech 2025 (Bioscience and Bioengineering/ AI & DS/ Mechanical Engineering) shortlisted candidates list for the interview process has been released.
The CEED 2026 results for the MDes programme have been released. Students can access and download their scorecard until Jul 31, 2026, by logging in to the official website.

India Institute of Technology Jodhpur was founded in 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development along with others IITs. The institute was located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Indian Institute of Technology History:

Established with the idea to cater to the post-war industrial development in India. In 1950, the first Indian Institute of Technology was established in May 1950, Kharagpur.
From 1959-1960, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur and IIT Madras was established.
Approved by the cabinet and announced by the Minister of Human Resource Development, establishment of 8 more IITs was approved on March 28, 2008.
In 2008 IIT Bhubaneshwar, IIT Gandhinagar, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Jodhpur (earlier called IIT Rajasthan), IIT Patna and IIT Ropar was established. In 2009, IIT Mandi and IIT Indore was established.
Eventually, IIT became a brand name, contributing to the national development and IIT Jodhpur became just another milestone.

IIT Jodhpur Cutoff 2026

IIT Jodhpur cutoff 2026 is expected to be released soon in the month of June 2026. As per the IIT Jodhpur JEE-Advanced 2025 round 6 cutoffs, BTech CSE received the highest order of competition with a closing rank of 2918. Whereas, BTech in AI and Data Science closed off at rank 4212 for the General AI category students. Whereas, the lowest competition was received by BTech in Bioengineering with rank 15278 and BTech in Material Engineering with 15034.

IIT Jodhpur Courses and Fees 2026

IIT Jodhpur also provides UG, PG and PhD courses in stream of Engineering, Management and Science. Course admission in IIT Jodhur is through the entrance exam. The eligibility of IIT Jodhpur depends on the course. Applications should be filled by the candidates before the final registration date.

At the UG level, the institute offers BTech and BSc programme. At the PG level, the institute provides MBA, MSc, MTech, MA, MS courses to the students.

In contrast, whereby in the case of courses at the PG- level, a candidate has to achieve a minimum mark of 60 percent in graduation. IIT Jodhpur fee system covers the total tuition fees between INR 26 K to INR 9 Lakh. Successful candidates have to pass the counselling round in order to be finally admitted. IIT Jodhpur Admission Process and Important Dates 2026

IIT Jodhpur admission 2026 is open. The institute accepts admisison based on merit and entrance exams. The IIT Jodhpur admissions are done on online basis. The IIT Jodhpur application form should be completed by the candidates prior to the due date. The JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, CAT, and IIT JAM are the IIT Jodhpur entrance exams.

IIT Jodhpur uses the JEE Advanced scores to accept their BTech programme, and then the JoSAA counselling. Students need to write the JEE Main exam and obtain the minimum percentage in order to pass the JEE Advanced exam. Admission to IIT Jodhura MBA is done on the basis of CAT scores and then PI round is conducted. Review of IIT Jodhpur in the physics department.

Placements: In my batch, we are offered jobs like research associate, lab technician, quality control analyst, and microbiologist. Companies that came to hire are mostly research labs, pharmaceutical companies, and diagnostic centers. The average salary package offered is 2 LPA.

Infrastructure: Hostels provide basic facilities like Wi-Fi, drinking water, light, fans, and beds. Classrooms are air-conditioned, and the main library is set up well for borrowing books. The mess food is just okay, but luckily, there are three canteens that sell delicious fast food. It also has a small sports area for games like volleyball, football, and cricket.

Faculty: The college takes its exam rules seriously to ensure fairness. Teachers put in a lot of effort, even though sometimes admin issues can cause a bit of confusion. Still, the learning environment is positive because the college makes sure to balance classroom learning with hands-on practice. Staff members know their subjects well. They are very cooperative.

Absolutely satisfied with the course.

Placements: Approximately 70 percent of students got placed from my course. The highest package is 80 LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. Google, Microsoft, and Amazon are top recruitment companies. Approximately 50 percent of students got internships in FAANG, MAANG, TCS, and Rubix. Software engineer and data scientist are roles offered.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good enough, but the range is less than expected. Classrooms are very good and large enough to accommodate all students. The library is also decent, and there is a wide variety of books in it. Good sports complex, but one bad thing, which is not appealing to me, is that there is a sudden thunderstorm that happens in the spring season.

Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Teachers are good and supportive. They provide help when needed, but there is an issue with late email responses. The course is also good, it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate to hard, and the passing criteria is 33 percent.

Other: I chose this course because it has a good placement and the campus is also good. The campus structure might get better as there are a lot of stands, which cause disruption in the wind. Events, fests, and connectivity are also some.

Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur.

Placements: Almost everyone gets placed, both circuital and non-circuital guys. The highest package, I guess, was 60 LPA (in hand). All renowned companies come here for placements. I don't have data about internships, but 5-6 people get internships at Google every year (3rd year students) and GSoC as well. SDE, SSE, AIML engineer.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi can be a bit slow, but it's fine, sometimes very bad. The Physics and Chemistry lab is good and spacious. Classrooms are air-conditioned with appropriate lighting. The library is not sufficient for the number of students that exist on the campus, but its air conditioning and books are available, as well as computers if needed, and switchboards are available as well. Food in the mess differs, sometimes it's fabulous, sometimes it's very bad. The canteen is good and affordable. There is a PHC on campus, pretty far from hostels, but you can call an ambulance during emergencies, free service, free meds and blood tests.

Faculty: Some teachers are awesome and really good, some are not. Teaching quality differs. Most professors come here for their research work. Sem exams aren't difficult if studied properly. The pass percentage is mostly 30 per cent, but there's a relatively grading, so it might differ.

They create a system that avoids heatwaves from entering the campus, which I like very much.

Placements: I think almost 100% placements are there. If you work hard, you can get placed. Last year top placement was 53 LPA and hired by Google. Median package is 15 LPA - 17 LPA. Top companies here are Google, HPCL, and Goldman Sachs. So, top companies come here, and you can get placed easily.

Infrastructure: Our college has very good infrastructure. It has 5G+ Wi-Fis. There is 100 MB speed. Canteen food is excellent, and they include some Jodhpur stuff there, and that's fantastic. Sports facility is good. Library is okay. Sports facility is good, and they encourage every student to play some stuff.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They teach advanced stuff. If I have any doubt, they always respond and are very helpful with placements kind of stuff. They are very good person, very humble, and have good behaviour. If you call them, they respond as well.

Other: I chose this course for this college specifically, and Jodhpur is nearby. Fests are also held.

My wonderful journey in an amazing college.

Placements: Above 30% of students got placed from my course. The highest package is 62 LPA, and the lowest package is 13 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are Tata Motors, Mahindra, Google, and Microsoft. Maybe 67% of students got internships in Unlox and other companies. Machine learning is the top role offered in my course.

Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi for every student with an unlimited network. The Wi-Fi works anywhere on the whole campus. The labs are pretty hygienic, and safety protocols are followed by management. The classrooms are very spacious and ideal for students. The library is also very huge and here we can get many types of books and magazines. The quality of food is very good and healthy. There is also a primary health centre available for all students for medical issues. All types of sports games and grounds are here for students, including indoor games.

Faculty: The professors are highly talented and very famous lecturers. They are professional in their role. They are also very kind. We can contact them via email for our doubts, and they give their personal timings for our doubts. The course curriculum makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are not too tough nor too easy. The pass percentage is very high, i.e., more than 97%.

Other: I chose this course as my option due to my JEE Advanced rank. The cutoff for this college in this course matched my rank, so I came here with some interest based on other reviews. The course is not bad, it's very good. Ignus fest is the very famous fest here, loved by many, hated by none.

Placements: The college itself really does provide solid knowledge, and students were landing jobs in this course. The salary packages here were quite varied. The highest can go beyond 18LPA, while the lowest starts at around 3LPA. There were some top notch recruiting companies specifically looking for graduates from this course, and over 70% of students were getting internships.

Infrastructure: The colleges infrastructure is made up of the most basic services like a supply of clean water, large laboratories for science, an auditorium and playground for cultural and sports activities, a well stocked library, and well maintained classrooms and canteen. Students can also take advantage of transportation and on campus housing if they do not have their own vehicles. The mess is clean, and if we talk about the food menu, it is quite good, but if more items of students choice are introduced, it will surely be beneficial.

Faculty: Faculty and staff here may not always excel, but they do their job well. First year teaching was very similar to high school, which made the change quite easy. The yearly tests were not too hard. The college also recognised academic successes and took special care to award the highest achievers.

IIT Jodhpur Student Life and Culture

IIT Jodhpur organises various events over the period of time, which are academia-centric or present a cultural depiction of the Institute. The Institute conducts various fests and events organised by the departments/faculty.

IIT Jodhpur conducts IGNUS, which is a techno-cultural fest, Nimble, which is a Science and Technology fest, Tech Expo, where the students put their inventions on display and Framed, a flagship event of the Design and Arts society.
The Institute has Viraasat, which is a SPICMACAY festival.

Besides all this, IIT Jodhpur has strict anti-ragging policies and a team that safeguards the campus at all times. The Institute has zero tolerance for ragging and intends to provide a safe environment for all the students without any discrimination. IIT Jodhpur also has a police station, which is located a few hundred meters away from the Institute.

IIT Jodhpur: How to Reach?

The Institute has various means to travel to the Institute. IIT Jodhpur is well connected to the roadways. For candidates coming in from various parts of India, airways and railways is an affordable option. The Institute can be reached through public transports as well within the city. Jodhpur Airport and Jodhpur Junction are the some of the options in Jodhpur to ease out the candidates for airway and railway means.

IIT Jodhpur Infrastructure

IIT Jodhpur has state-of-the-art infrastrcture which is spread across 852 acres of area. The institute has digital infrastrcture and automation/ computer center. It offers innovation and technological developmnet. Below mentioned are the IIT Jodhpur infrastructure provides both residential and academic facilities:

Hostels: IIT Jodhpur is a fully residential campus. It offers single occupancy air-conditioned and semi-furnished rooms. The institute has hostel building has a TV room, reading room, etc. It has indoor games like carom, table tennis, chess and badminton
Sports Complex: IIT Jodhpur has a sports complex that has football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis and badminton grounds
Tech Park: IIT Jodhpur is planning to set up its own Tech Park, which will be spread over 100 acres of land and will have the capacity to host 30 companies at once
Healthcare:It has an ISO-certified healthcare centre, which has OPD and ambulance services. The health centre has a constituted medical board of doctors from Government Medical College and AIIMS
Incubation Cell: In order to promote entrepreneurship among students, IIT Jodhpur has its Incubation Cell— Technology and Innovation and Start-Up centre (TISC).
