It feels like a new world with more than enough facilities.
Placements: This year, the placements are excellent, and around 80% of students got their dream jobs. Some didn't appear for the interview due to their dream of higher studies. The highest package offered was around 44 LPA, and the average package was 20.5 LPA in companies like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Ponds, TCS etc.
Infrastructure: As IIT Ropar is the 2nd generation institute, the infrastructure is very good. While roaming around, you can't imagine it as a college or educational building, you will feel them as MNCs. Labs are equipped with new machines and instruments, and we have one central library equipped with smart features and a lift. Hostels have elevators, and the mess food is above average. Every facility is available in our utility store. The only missing thing is the swimming pool and indoor sports complex for volleyball, badminton etc.
Faculty: All the teachers have their degrees from foreign universities or from IITs, and they are very interactive, helpful and clear our doubts very patiently and efficiently. Academics are not very stressful or hectic, you can manage it simply by studying well.
Other: One thing I would like to add is there are many events throughout the year, but 3 of them keep us ahead of other colleges, and they are our cultural fest (ZEITGEIST) with lots and lots of fun, a sports fest called Aarohan, and one is technical fest Advitiya. There are unlimited things that students can explore on their own.
