NIRF 2024 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2024 rankings, IIT Ropar ranks #22 under the category 'Engineering'.

The GATE 2025 registration process with late fee is closed now for admission to the MTech course. The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.

JEE Main 2025 Session 1 registration has closed for IIT Ropar admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses. The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam is scheduled to be held from Jan 22 to Jan 31, 2025.
The JEE Advanced 2025 exam date has been announced for the BTech course. As per the official website, the JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be conducted on May 18, 2025. Further, the application form will be released in Apr 2025.
The IIT JAM 2025 online registration process for admission to the MSc course has closed now. The IIT JAM 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on Feb 2, 2025.

GATE exam is used as a selection criteria for admission to the MTech programme at IIT Ropar. To be eligible for the GATE exam the aspring candidate need a minimum of 60% aggregate in their graduation. The GATE score remains valid for a period of three years, and it is widely recognised and accepted by numerous institutes and organizations for the purposes of admission and recruitment. The total tuition fee of the M.Tech programme is INR 27,140. The avaerage package secured after the compoletion of the M.Tech programme at IIT Ropar is INR 13.31 LPA. As per the IIT Ropar JAM Cutoff 2024 Round 2 Cutoff, the most competitive course was M.Sc in Mathematics. The Cutoff rank for M.Sc in Mathematics was 432, for the General AI Category candidates.

If not eligible for IIT Ropar, candidates can opt for IIT Indore with a linient cutoff of 337 for M.Sc in Mathematics.
