Our college is maintaining a good placement percentage in recent years.
Placements: This year, overall 89% of students were placed in the mechanical branch. Almost 70% of students got placed. The statistics are not 100% true. The highest salary package offered is around 35 LPA - 45 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 6 LPA - 7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 3 LPA - 4 LPA. The salary packages are fine rather to other colleges.
Infrastructure: This college offers Wi-Fi, a canteen for food, classrooms with projectors, different labs, and a library. Our college has a hostel facility. Its fee starting at Rs. 1,05,000 per annum. Price may differ. The food quality is better than other government colleges. The hostel is located outside the campus.
Faculty: Here teachers are well-qualified. Most of them have a master's degree from IITs which is quite good for an engineering college. Our course curriculum is very relevant and contains industry visits so that students can know about the industry. Semester papers are set by IIT KGP's professors so the competition becomes tough.

Satisfied with college because of its faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: In 2022, most of the students from mechanical engineering branch got placed. Some of the students got placed in IT companies like TCS, PWC, Infosys etc. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys and Capgemini etc. Some of the students got placed in companies like blue star, Hitachi through ISHRAE.
Infrastructure: The IEM campus is equipped with a Wi-Fi facility. The manufacturing lab and AutoCAD lab are there for Mechanical Engineering students. The library is also there in IEM in which a student can get various books based on his/her curriculum. I don't live in an IEM hostel, so don't know about that.
Faculty: All the IEM faculty members are highly educated and are very helpful to students. Most of the teachers have done a PhD. Course Curriculum is based on the need of modern-day industries, and it makes the students industry ready. Semester exams are not difficult at all and the passing marks are 40 out of 100 in end-semester exams.

This is an excellent place for learning, getting jobs, and higher study opportunities.
Placements: Almost 90% of students get placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 40 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include TCS, IBM, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, PWC, NRI Fintech, and so on. Some seniors from the mechanical department got job offers while doing internships at companies like Mitsubishi, Blue Star, Johnson & Johnson, Zamil Air-Conditioner, and so on. Top roles are offered as PGET, lead engineer, and so on.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi can be used from anywhere on campus. Labs are well maintained and the equipment is new. Classrooms are airy, well-ventilated, and spacious. Our library has a huge stock of books on all subjects with computer facilities to go and study anytime. There is also a gymkhana with indoor sports and gym equipment. Besides, there is a basketball court, tennis court, and volleyball court.
Faculty: Each teacher has a minimum qualification of at least a Ph.D. or M.Tech and above. Teachers are very knowledgeable and helpful. Their teaching quality is good. They give extra classes or problem-solving classes if needed. The course curriculum is relevant as it has been revised according to the needs of the industry. We are taught new subjects like 3D printing. Our college semester exams are simple if you have attended all your classes. The passing percentage is around 60%.

Satisfied with the learning experience, but the infrastructure is not good at all.
Placements: The placement scenario in this college is good as compared to other private colleges in West Bengal. The college ensures that you get placed at the end of the 4th year. The majority of the IT companies such as TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Oracle, and some core companies come here for recruiting. If you study well during placement season, you will get placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good here. If you are a student who is coming for infrastructure and facilities, don't come here. It is just a building with a small playground situated beside it. Labs are very good here. You will find all the required machines here. Lab faculty is also very skilled here. Very much focus would be given to the labs. The college has a small library in the management and Gurukul house. Students can issue books from there. There is a restriction to the duration of keeping those books. At lunchtime, paid food will be given on the campus itself. The quality of food is average. It is not so good.
Faculty: The faculty here are above average. They help you when you need them. You will have their phone numbers and you can call them when you doubt something. One thing I must say is that the course curriculum is very hectic here. Since the college became autonomous, it had been more hectic. In the 1st year, only you have 12 subjects. In the first 2- 3 semesters, the college acts very strictly with you. You will have to attend prayers, have to dress in college uniform, and latecomers are not allowed after the scheduled time, etc., The semester exams are difficult. But you will find it easy if you study the notes of the subject teacher.
Other: The mechanical engineering faculty is good in IEM, Kolkata. Therefore I choose this course. Labs are very fine if you want to learn to engineer.

If you really want to have a good future, join here.
Placements: IEM focuses on the overall development of students. It is not restricted to placements only but also involves other aspects like competitive exams. Around 70% of the students opted for jobs through campus placements, and the rest 30% switched to different exam preparation and related jobs.
Infrastructure: IEM has well-maintained and updated laboratories with well-equipped instruments and hostel, and the mess food is good. A library and Wi-Fi are available. It also has a Yoga hall and a gymnasium, along with 2 basketball courts in the 2 respective buildings. It also has a football ground.
Faculty: It has 3 exams, 2 mid-semester and one end-semester, along with practicals and viva. Every day, IEMCRP test is conducted, comprising of 10 marks after each lecture is a way to check whether the student is attentive or not and also helps in attendance calculation. Hence, it's a must.
