Around 525 students out of a total of 645 students get campus placement in various companies in the 2021 batch. 3. Candidates who want NIT Agartala admissions need to apply online. Candidates are selected through various national-level entrance tests which include IIT JAM, CCMN, JEE Main, GATE, CCMT, NIMCET, MAT, GMAT, CAT, CMAT, etc. NIT Agartala comprises 13 departments that offer more than 20 courses in different streams such as Science, IT and Software, Engineering etc. Candidates are selected through multiple national-level entrance tests for these courses. Admission is provided on the basis of cumulative scores of a qualifying exam, Personal Interview and profile of the candidate.

NIT Agartala offers MTech courses based on GATE CCMT scores. The students get shortlisted on the basis of merit lists and counselling rounds. While the counselling process starts, candidates with their names in the seat allotment list are provisionally admitted to the respective courses. The shortlisted candidates need to report to NIT Agartala within the due date for each counselling round and submit the fees.
