Yes, the institute has achieved an excellent placement record over the past few years. During NIT Jalandhar placements 2023, 796 offers were made. The total tuition fee for a two-year MTech is INR 1.4 Lacs (except for M.Tech AI). The tuition fee for M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence (AI) course is INR 2.72 lakh. This given fee is for regular M.Tech candidates. For the candidates belonging to a self-sponsored category, the tuition fee is INR 2.2 lakh, while the SC/ST category candidates are exempted from tuition fee payment. It must be noted that the given fee is as per unofficial sources and hence may vary.

It is necessary for all MTech course aspirants to fulfil the eligibility requirements. Candidates with a valid BE/BTech degree from a recognised university are eligible. In addition, the aspirant must have secured at least 60% aggregate in the degree course to become eligible for admission. For verification purposes, aspirants shall have the relevant documents as well.

NIT Jalandhar M.Tech admissions are entirely based on a valid GATE score. Candidates are selected as per their rank obtained in the entrance exam score and the final seat allotment is done through CCMT Counselling process. The first preference will be given to GATE rank holders. However,  if the seats remain vacant after admitting GATE qualified candidates, then the students will have to appear for a department-level entrance test to try their chance for admission.
