Good placement, decent campus, average hostels, well educated faculty members, & good facilities.
Placements: Mechanical Engineering is the best at NIT Jamshedpur. It has a record of 100% placement with a maximum package of 21 LPA. In this course, the median CTC package offered is almost 9 LPA. Companies like Tata Steel, JSW Steel, etc., offer placements and internships to the students.
Infrastructure: The university is really great. Academic buildings, the library, and labs are well-maintained. But, on the other hand, hostel facilities are very poor. Hostel infrastructure is developing but is not yet as good as one might imagine. Mess food needs to be improved.
Faculty: Teachers are really very helpful and provide good guidance for the overall course. Examinations are well-conducted, and the curriculum is well-designed and includes all the necessary topics and skills a mechanical engineer requires in this world. Exams are moderate, but one gets to learn many new, helpful things from them.
Other: I want to be an aerospace engineer but wanted a core branch. So I chose Mechanical Engineering, which is a vast field in this world. This branch has many advantages. There are plenty of fests and events conducted.

100% placements in 2022 and having good facilities.
Placements: Around 93% of students got placements last year in our course. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA. The average salary package offered is 9.3 LPA. Tata Motors and Aditya Birla Group are top recruiting companies. Almost 50-60% of students got internships from our course in Tata Motors and some other companies.
Infrastructure: NIT Jamshedpur has very beautiful infrastructure. Hostels provided are also great. Wi-Fi is good. There is also LAN for us. The mess food is also very good. The menu is awesome. There are many sports to play in our college. There is a sports fest in our college named URJA, and it is very popular.
Faculty: In our department, there are around 30 professors. Almost all have Ph.D. degrees. Their teaching experience is very long. Our HOD proof. Sanjay is on the list of the world's top 2% scientists of Stanford University published by Elsevier in 2023. Semester exams are moderate. Almost all students in our department of our batch passed.

Review of NIT Jamshedpur - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: 95% of students were placed in my batch last year. 16 lakh was the highest, 6 lakh was the lowest package offered and 8 lakh was the average package . Tata Steel and JSW are the top recruiters. About 30% of students got internships in Tata Steel and JSW mainly. Managing director, office head, HR, etc. are the top posts offered in my course.
Infrastructure: We have a very great academic facility, having big, well-furnished ac rooms with stage podiums and projectors. Wifi is all over the campus. We have different labs with machining facilities for each department. I got a very good 2-story library with reference library rooms and study rooms, and with it got a well-sized hostel room with enough facilities. Mess food has variety and tastes really good. There are different clubs and festivals for sports and extra activities, including creativity and social.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified IITians or NITians. The academics of my college are really strong. The curriculum is too good and makes the student well mannered for corporate life. Semester exams are moderately tough and 35 marks out of 100 is the passing marks in each subject.
Other: The mechanical department has 115 students. The best thing about the course is practical knowledge; we have a variety of labs.

Think placement think NIT Jamshedpur.
Placements: NIT Jamshedpur has an above 90% placement rate. Mechanical engineering has a 95% placement record every year. Many core companies visit NIT Jamshedpur for mechanical roles. CS has the highest placement rate and packages. The highest package is 85 lacs, and the lowest is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of NIT Jamshedpur is up to the mark, neither better nor bad. The hostels here are the best thing about this college. They are very big and in good condition. A mess is available, and the food provided is also of good quality. The canteen is always open at night.
Faculty: Teachers here are quite helpful and responsive. They are good in their respective subjects and support students. The course curriculum is relevant and the most in demand in industry and also results in a good placement record. Semester exams are not very tough; one can clear them by studying two or three days before, as done by every engineer.
Other: The first reason I chose this college was my rank in JEE Main, and the second was the placement. The placement here is quite good and better than at the rest of the colleges. A practical approach should be implemented to make it more interesting. Extracurricular activities and sports events are organized frequently.

Average faculty with great campus placement.
Placements: In our previous batch, about 90% of students were placed. The highest package was 19 LPA, and the lowest was 6 LPA. Many companies come for recruitment, with Tata Steel and L&T being the most frequent recruiters. Around 60% of students get internships, with the most common position being GET.
Infrastructure: NIT Jamshedpur has well-maintained infrastructure and excellent hostels. There are seven hostels, four for boys and three for girls. The mess food is the worst. The entire campus has Wi-Fi, and in the hostels, there is also LAN, so there are no internet problems. Water and electricity are available 24/7.
Faculty: The faculty members are knowledgeable, and some are very friendly. However, they lack teaching style and seem to just go through the motions. The curriculum is relevant, but it doesn't prepare students for the industry. There isn't much hands-on experience, and some faculty members are not there for the students. Semester exams are difficult, and professors will fail us if we don't write anything on the paper.
