Q:   Can I get admission in BTech at NIT Kurukshetra without JEE Main?

A:

No, the JEE Main is what gives admissions to the BTech programmes at NIT Kurukshetra. Best source of knowledge by the best faculty and environment.
Placements: This year, somehow, placement is low. But relatively, placement was high. Around 40% of students got placed and 50% got internships. The remaining students indulge in projects. The top recruiting companies were Tata Electronics, Infosys, Flipkart and so on. Roles are basically junior-level because of our lack of experience.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure, of course, is very well designed and gives an aesthetic feeling while learning and studying. All rooms are air-conditioned and have a good seating arrangement. Also, Ethernet is provided for internet use. Hostel food is very healthy and very traditional food is provided by different cultures in India. Medical facilities are also provided for any kind of emergency.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in learning the syllabus and they are highly qualified and designed by reputed universities. The course curriculum is very relevant from the perspective of placements. Internships are very useful to make students industrial-ready. Semester exams are above average, and some effort is required to qualify.

Absolute knowledge by best resources.
Placements: Almost 40% of students got placed last year. The highest package was around 4 million and the lowest was 400 thousand. The top companies offered are Wipro, Cisco, Flipkart and Tata Electronics, and some more reputed companies also offered the jobs. The role offered is at the junior level and according to the skills.
Infrastructure: The academic infrastructure is so well designed as per the comfortability factor of students. Labs, classrooms and libraries are facilitated by Ethernet and air conditioning. Mess has all its needs. And more importantly, the food is completely healthy, as is the complete availability of sports medical facilities.
Faculty: The faculty provided by the institute is so qualified and well educated by higher-reputed universities. The course curriculum is very relevant in terms of further career opportunities. Semester exams are above average. The pass percentage is 40%.

Lush green campus. And good placement.
Placements: Placement stats are quite decent here, as overall 80% of students get placed every year, as seen from previous statistics, with the highest at 40+ Lacs, averaging at 11 Lacs, and the lowest at 5-6 Lacs. The top recruiters are Microsoft, Genpact, etc. Internships will be available to every student here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is good, with good facilities such as Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms. However, the library is somewhat constrained, needing more efficient management. Hostels offer good facilities, though the quality of food is average.
Faculty: Teachers or professors are quite helpful here and have over 10 years of experience with professional degrees from IIT or NIT. When it comes to semester exams, we have mid-1, mid-2, and end-of-semester exams of varying difficulty levels, depending on the professors' pass percentage, which is above 40 out of 100 in total.
Other: I chose this course because I want a good college with a decent package. I think they need to work on upgrading the courses as they are not adept at developing technologies, so we need to stay updated on what is going on.

Review of NIT Kurukshetra - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: Coincidentally, today I saw my college placements report. In the report, only 37% of the total students were placed on campus. In my course, the highest package was 40 LPA in the last batch of 2023. The median was around 10 LPA. There are some top recruiting companies like Amazon, Infosys, Ola, etc. Almost half of the 3rd-year students got internships. Many of the top-placed students got jobs in the IT sector.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college as well as my department is very good and maintained periodically. All classrooms, labs, and the library are totally air-conditioned. Hostel rooms are quite comfortable, and the mess is very neat and clean. It includes many sports facilities and a common room resembling a home theatre. Medical facilities are also very good. I have no words to explain the facilities that are provided to us.
Faculty: The professors are very helpful and humble. They give their complete attention and efforts to the students. I experienced that the professors of core subjects are very knowledgeable and very frank. The semester exams are not too difficult, but it depends on our preparation. The pass percentage is 40% in both internal and external assessments.

Empowering engineering for a better future: a review of Nit Kurukshetra.
Placements: Placement is a good approximation. 90–100% of students are placed. The highest package is INR 21 LPA. The lowest package is INR 6 LPA. The average package is INR 8.8 LPA. An internship opportunity is not good. Students do not get an internship in my course. Maruti, Tata, etc. are the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: The department and facilities are very good at the college. Hostal has full Wi-Fi, and lab is also good. Classrooms are fully covered with AC. The library is very big; all types of books are available in the library, and there is also Wi-Fi, a canteen, and a mess available in the college.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well qualified, and have enough knowledge of our subjects. Teaching quality is better. This course is not relevant, but it helps you become a better engineer. Exams are very easy, or we can say moderate. I don't know very well.
Other: I chose this course because it is at NIT. It helps you improve your visualization. Confluence is the biggest cultural event at my college, and the technical event is Techspardha. The campus is very crowded. There is good connectivity.

Students also asked

Q:   Can I get into NIT Kurukshetra with 95 percentile?

A:

A 95 percentile in entrance exams would raise a candidate's prospect of getting into NIT Kurukshetra, as the conventional cutoff for NIT ranges from 85 to 95 percentile on most seats. This also includes factors such as the cutthroat competition that may exist for a particular course and the sheer number of applicants.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

Q:   How can I get admission in NIT Kurukshetra?

A:

The admissions are mainly through national-level entrance exams such as for undergraduate programs from JEE main while postgraduate level applicants qualify through GATE. After successful qualification in entrance examination, candidates must participate in counseling coordinated by JoSAA or CCMT in respective conditions for seat allocation. Eligible with a good rank in the entrance examination, the student is sure to get admission in NIT Kurukshetra into one of its numerous various programs.

Q:   Is NIT Kurukshetra worth it?

A:

To get admission in NIT Kurukshetra, candidates need to have a valid JEE Main score. The institute conducts counseling based on JEE Main scores, and the cutoff for JEE Main can be quite high. It's important to score well in JEE Main and meet the institute's eligibility criteria to be considered for admission.

The NIT Kurukshetra cutoff 2023 for BTech courses varied between 8104 and 45868 in the last round, with BTech in CSE being the most competitive specialization. Apart from the competitive JEE Main cutoff, the institute has also been ranked 58th by NIRF Ranking 2023 in the Engineering category. In terms of placements, NIT Kurukshetra has a strong record, with the highest package and average package offered during BTech placements 2022 standing at INR 125 LPA and INR 13.89 LPA, respectively.

So, considering all the important aspects like cutof, ranking and placment, NIT Kurukshetra  is a decent option to peruse a BTech degree.
