Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Is NIT Narula Institute of Technology good for B.Tech in CSE?

A:

It seems that NIT Narula Institute of Technology provides students pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with an unequal experience. Renowned firms like Microsoft, Amazon, and Juspay come to recruit and provide competitive salary packages up to 51 LPA off-campus; the college has a respectable placement record. Concerns around disparate placement rates and students choosing to forego college internships in favor of greater prospects elsewhere are present while this is happening. The campus has a number of sports facilities, immaculate classrooms, and Wi-Fi, however the catered food's quality and quantity need to be enhanced. Although teachers emphasize completing the curriculum on time and possess knowledge, students' assessments of how consistently they are taught vary.

It is a good private college and placements records are very good.
Placements: Around 160 students are placed in our course. HP, HCL, and Juspay are the top recruiting companies. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 27 LPA. Around 80% of students get internships in our course. At first, students get an employed role but after some time, they can get a better role in the company.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are very good. There is also a big cafe although it has practical. The laboratories are very good. It provides free Wi-Fi. The classrooms are very good, and there are many tables and chairs. In the canteen, the price of food is very low, but the food is very delicious and healthy.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and highly knowledgeable. Teachers teaching quality is very good. The course I have chosen is curriculum relevant. It makes the students industry-ready. Exams are moderate, but the pass percentage is 100%.
Other: I have chosen the best course in this college.

Our college has a good infrastructure, atmosphere, and moderate placements.
Placements: In diploma 2021, there are 10% of students who got placed in Infosys and others. The highest salary offered is Rs.10,00-12,000 at starting. The lowest salary offered ranges from 8,000-10,000 per month. For B.Tech, companies like Infosys, IBM, TCS, Wipro, and many others hire here. They want software trainees at the beginning.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good in terms of space and organisations. Laboratory and library are my favorite places to read in though. It has a moderate though big ground to play any sport as you wish. Hostels are well organised and wardens are strict if you come back late. The canteen is well maintained and hygienic.
Faculty: Faculty members are the best. If we have any doubt, we can go to them. Faculty members are well-behaving. Though not everyone is the same. Almost 90% of faculty members are so good. Semester exams are moderate. The pass percentage is above 85%.
Other: We do have a tech-fest and many other extracurricular activities.

Now, my college has good infrastructure, but placements are quite poor.
Placements: 25% of students are placed as of now in 2024. The highest package was 6 LPA and the lowest was 2.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course include TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Infosys, Mindtree, and Accenture. Only 1 or 2 students from my course have been placed, mainly in IT analyst roles.
Infrastructure: The campus is in a free Wi-Fi zone, and labs are well-equipped with computers and necessary equipment. The library is good, but submitting or renewing books takes a lot of time. I have never been to the hostel, but my hostel friends say the facilities are neither bad nor good. The food is okay, but the medical facilities are very poor.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students well for the industry. Exams are not difficult for good students, and the passing percentage is 98%.
Other: I chose this course based on a senior’s recommendation. The course offers job opportunities in both the core and IT departments, but placement in the core department is poor. The course is good and doesn’t need changes. My college holds events every day.
