The final thing is if students work hard at this college, then they will be successful.
Placements: Approximately 50%-60% are placed in a year from my mechanical engineering batch. I am a student of NIT Srinagar mechanical engineering batch. A lot of students opt for off-campus placements and also for their own startups. The top recruiting companies for the mechanical engineering course are HCL, Wipro, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the mechanical engineering course is so good because in my college mechanical engineering is the only course that is accredited. We have been provided a library with Wi-Fi, air-conditioned rooms, and digital board rooms. Our hostel room is quite well consisting of 5 students in a room, 4 almirah's and 1 fan. The food in our mess is good.
Faculty: Here the faculty members teaching us are so good in behavior and also helpful to us. Exams are so difficult as compared to other colleges. The pass percentage for a subject is 40% but the difficulty of the exams makes us ready for higher difficulties.

All about NIT Srinagar life.
Placements: There are around 6 to 7 courses in our college which are CSE, IT, electrical, mechanical, chemical, civil, and metallurgy. As per placements, we can say that around 62-70% of students from every branch got placed in one of the greatest companies of India like Vedanta and TCS. Some government companies like BHEL, etc., visit for placements.
Infrastructure: As it is an NIT Institute which is owned by the government, facilities are very good. There is good Wi-Fi. The infrastructure of hostels is provided to all students who come from all over India to study or pursue their degree there. After all, the weather changes. The food is also good.
Faculty: As NIT is in government institute, all teachers are well-qualified from all over India. All of them are the best educators in India. They are very helpful and supportive towards you if you need them. Studies at NIT are very relevant to the point. Topics are covered very easily by teachers. There are two semesters in the year. Each semester has two exams one is mid-term and the other is end-term.
Other: As I am very much interested in learning machines and how they are designed, I chose this course so that I can learn about it in more detail. The best thing about this course is that you can use your brain and invent more machine designs, etc. Around 100 students are there in every batch as per their selection through Josse Counseling. Campus life at NIT Srinagar is very good. You have a lot of exposure. Students are very much competitive with each other.

Review of National Institute of Technology Srinagar
Placements: Approximately 70 to 80 percent of students got placed in the Mechanical Engineering department. Last year, the highest package was 22 Lacs per annum, and the average was 6 Lacs per annum. Companies like HPCL, GAIL, Tata Steel, Aditya Birla, Growth Jockey, and Ashok Leyland come here.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are quite good, but the roads are broken and damaged after the rainy season. The canteen area gets filled with water. Labs are good, and many machines are available. Wi-Fi is available in the hostel library only, not on campus. The canteen is good, and Nescafe is available here.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and easily approachable. Most of them have done Ph.D. from IITs, NITs, and abroad. All of them are very knowledgeable. In the second semester, two exams are conducted: one is the midterm exam and the other is the end-term exam. For internal marks, attendance and quizzes are taken.

Decent college and good exposure because it's NIT.
Placements: Our college provides decent placements, especially for CSE and IT. The highest package for CSE IT is 43 LPA. The average package for CSE IT is 12 LPA. Some recruiters are Samsung, Google, Microsoft, ONGC, BPCL PowerGrid, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Autodesk, etc.
Infrastructure: Good hostels and infrastructure are there. There are 4 hostels. Jhelum is for final-year students, Chenab is for 3rd year students, Indus is for 2nd year students, Mansar is for 1st year students, and Tawi is also for 4th year students. All campus and hostels are Wi-Fi enabled. Thank you.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable and helpful for GATE exams and many other competitive exams. Math faculty members are very strict and create difficult question papers. And very rarely, students have passed the math subject. Please prepare seriously and do not waste time. Thank you.

Everything is good but I think there needs to be an upgrade in the food quality and the crowd.
Placements: Around 70-80% of the students get placed in ECE. The average package offered is around 11 LPA, the highest is 19.20 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 6 LPA to the students of the ECE branch in 2024 in the month of September, and it is still ongoing. Top recruiting companies are Airtel, Oracle, and Nexturn. Read More.
Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure and teachers. But the fests are not organized. As for the placements, they are pretty good every year. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Vedanta, Tata Elxsi, and Powergrid pick up the students with the potential to work under their guidance. The placement percentage for ECE in the year 2023 was about 89%.
Faculty: Placements are going well. In the 2023 passing-out batch, the placements were quite good, but for the 2024 passing-out batch, due to recession, the placement is not going well. At the end of their 7th semester, only 100-150 students are placed in a batch of almost 700 students. Big companies of this year till now are Oracle, Infineon, Autodesk, etc.
Other: The B.Tech program offered by the National Institute of Technology Srinagar is highly popular due to its promising career prospects. The institute offers B.Tech specializations in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, and Metallurgical & Materials Engineering. NIT Srinagar offers B.Tech courses for four years to eight semesters. The curriculum of the program has been developed and upgraded to enhance the knowledge of students through fundamental understanding and problem-solving abilities. Below are some of the popular courses offered by NIT Srinagar and their respective eligibility and fees:
