 Ramaiah Institute of Technology offers the four-year M.Tech programme in 12 specialisations, including Manufacturing Science and Engineering, Structural Engineering, Computer Applications and Industrial Drives,  Computer Science & Engineering, Software Engineering, Biotechnology, etc. 

R.V. College of Engineering offers 13 specialisations in M.Tech courses and the total number of seats provided in the course is 270. On the other hand, Ramaiah Institute of Technology offers 12 specializations in M.Tech courses and offers a total number of 264 seats in MTech courses. To get a seat in the M.Tech course, candidates are required to achieve a good score in GATE/ PGCET at both institutes (Ramaiah Institute of Technology and R.V.C.E). 

The total fee of the four-year M.Tech programme offered at Ramaiah Institute of Technology is INR 2L - INR 2.2 lakh. 

BE/BTech in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate is the basic eligibility for admission to the M.Tech programme offered at Ramaiah Institute of Technology. Karnataka candidates belonging to SC/ST & Category-l need a minimum of 45% aggregate to be eligible for the programme.

The most competitive specialisation has been B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering with a closing rank of 1045, followed by B.E. in Information Science and Engineering with a 1769 rank for the General category students. Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) Seat Allotment Results have been released up to Round 2 for Ramaiah Institute of Technology admission to BE course. According to the Ramaiah Institute of Technology cutoff for Round 1 in 2023, the closing ranks for BE specialisations, including B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering was 1045, for B.E. in Information Science and Engineering was 1769 and for B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering was 3362 for the General category students. For admission into B.E and B.Arch course, the institute accepts KCET/COMEDK and NATA scores respectively. Candidates who are seeking admission in M.Tech are required to possess a valid score in GATE/PGCET exam. While, admission to MBA and MCA depends upon KMAT/PGCET score. In case of MBA, MSRIT also considers the score of MAT/CMAT for selection. The placement statistics of Ramaiah Institute of technology show that around 358 companies visited the campus and made 1892 job offers. The highest package offered was 50 LPA and the average package was 7.66 LPA. M.S.
