I am satisfied because of the faculty, placements, facilities, and infrastructure.

Placements: Placements in Shivaji College are good, especially for B.Com students. There is a placement cell that conducts placement and internship fairs every year in which top companies like Jaro Education, Zomato, Lido Learning, Deloitte, Planet Spark, and Chegg recruit students. In the initial days, you will be informed about placements by teachers.

Infrastructure: At Shivaji College, the biochemistry department is on the last floor of the science department. On our floor, there is a well-equipped lab and two classrooms. There is also a water cooler. Our lab assistants are excellent, very kind-hearted, and helpful. The library is one of the biggest libraries at Delhi University. There is no such hostel facility provided by our department, but there are PGs within walking distance. The minimum rent is Rs. 10,000 per month with food. Free Wi-Fi is provided by the college. The password is given by teachers. The new block, Jijabai, is yet to open and it has elevators.

Faculty: Our teachers are highly qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. All teachers are very kind, supportive, and understanding. They don't only teach us but also help us shape our personalities. They will show you how you can improve your CV. Biochemistry is very interesting, especially for those who want to go for research. The demand for this course has increased in recent years. This course will help you to connect your body mechanisms and day-to-day activities with science. Practicals are very interesting and useful. In the third semester, one can get body tests like glucose level and activity of salivary amylase in the lab only. Semester exams are moderate. You need to refer to PYQs. It will help you a lot to understand the pattern. PYQs are available in the library near the xerox counter. Out of 70 marks, you need to score more than 30 to pass. We have an internal assessment of 25 marks, of which 5 marks are for attendance, 10 marks are for tests, and 10 marks are for assignments. Practicals are worth 30 marks.

Other: A metro station is also nearby.

Our college has good faculty members and extra-curricular activities.

Placements: In our college, placements are less than 30%. Most students opt for an M.Sc. However, for commerce, computer science, and other streams, placements are more than 80%. The highest salary offered is Rs.45,000 per month. Top recruiting companies include Tata 1mg, Biocon, Sun Pharmaceuticals, and R&D departments of various MNCs. Biochemists, food supervisors, and quality analysts are in high demand nowadays.

Infrastructure: There is no hostel available at our college. The infrastructure of our college is average. There is an active Wi-Fi connection for students. Labs are well-structured, well-equipped, and spacious. Classrooms are not very good as there is very little ventilation and in some classes, some fans also don't work. The auditorium is also not very large and the entire campus is not fully air-conditioned. There is good news as our new building named Jijabai Academic Block is going to be inaugurated very soon. It has all facilities like air-conditioned classrooms and labs along with a lift. The worst part of our college is the canteen. It serves the worst food at high prices but there is a good connection outside the campus with restaurants and cafes. Our library is one of the largest in the entire University of Delhi and has almost all books required by students. It is also RFID enabled. Our sports playground is separately built just in front of the college and it is also very large and good sports facilities are provided. The campus is small and beautiful, mainly due to its greenery.

Faculty: We have got the best teachers in our biochemistry department. All of them have Ph.D. and are very knowledgeable and experienced. They teach very well and are very helpful. They are very understanding when it comes to personal issues. They are always available for their students. The course curriculum is very relevant to the present condition of the world. There is a dire need for biochemists who can understand a problem at its molecular level and find solutions. The course makes students industry-ready as they are taught various techniques and also how to carry out research. Many competitions, internships, training, seminars, and workshops are held from time to time, giving students an extra edge over others. Semester exams are set by the University of Delhi and they are quite difficult but the pass percentage of our course in our college is more than 90%.

Other: Our college has a myriad of societies whether it's debate, dance, music, drama, NCC, NSS, entrepreneurship, fashion, and the list goes on. Recently, a student named Sail Mehta, who is a pass out from biochemistry at Shivaji College, is gaining a lot of popularity for his roles alongside big Bollywood actors in movies like Raksha Bandhan, Tabbar, etc. He had learned acting from our college's drama society, Vayam. Our society, Enactus, is also internationally recognised. Fests and events keep happening. Connectivity is very good. Our college is just 1 km away from Rajouri Garden metro station and there are many student-friendly places to visit near and outside our campus.

College infrastructure is good, and environment around college is peaceful.

Placements: College placements are up to the requirements. Most students prefer to do a Master's ahead of this course. In our college, different science-related programs are conducted every year. Summer internship is also offered to students, which helps most in building CVs.

Infrastructure: College is really good. All classrooms, labs, and library are well-maintained. Wi-Fi is available. Equipment in sports complex is also well-maintained. Canteen is hygienic and quality of the food is also good. Medical facilities are available near our college.

Faculty: Professors are very knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is flexible and interesting. Professors also forward science-related internships and programs in a common group, which is most helpful for building a good CV.

Other: I chose this course because I was keen to know things which are related to science and this course is the best.

It is the best off-campus college in DU for biochemistry.

Placements: Placements at Shivaji College are pretty good. But since I am from science, I don't know much about the arts and commerce students. Pass-out students got a salary package of 16 LPA. Most students from a science background go for higher studies rather than placements.
