Q:   Is University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering good for B.Tech?

A:

University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE) is about 100 year old and was established in 1917, under the name "Government Engineering College", by Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. It is the 5th engineering college to be established in india and first in Karnataka. UVCE is one of the few technical institutions in the country that has achieved with the status of a university and neck on the lines of IITs. It is one of the oldest technical institutions in india, which provides technical courses like B.Tech., B.Arch., M.Tech., M.Arch. and PhD degrees in the various disciplines of Engineering and Architecture.

The college is AICTE approved.

The last placement recorded was in 2014 in which 350 students got 700+ offers including Microsoft, Amazon, google, Flipkart and many more.

Q:   Which one is better for a B.Tech course, University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering or Aditya Group of Institutions?

A:

UVCE is about 100 years old and 5th the oldest Engineering college of India.

So, obviously its placement is also good in year 2014 (last recorded) 700+ offers were made to 350 students by companies which includes Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and many more.

So, placements here are excellent.

On the other hand, Aditya Institute of Technology (AIT), Delhi is a Polytechnic (diploma) college founded in 1995. It's placement probability is somewhat around 60 percent only which is not a good one at all.

Conclusion : for a B.Tech course, Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is best.

Review of University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering.
Placements: More than 98% of students in the ISE and CSE branches get placed in our college. The highest salary package offered in the previous year was 40 LPA. Many companies like Atlassian, Microsoft, etc., offer placements to students in our college. Students have to develop their skills in engineering life.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are provided in the library but not in the hostel. It allots 4 students in a room. The food served is average, but worth the money. There are no sports facilities. Students can create their teams and participate with other college students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good at some subjects. Teaching is not up to the mark. Semester exams are not tough but students should not neglect the subjects. Students get free time which they can utilise to learn coding, participate in fests, etc.
Other: It is the best college for students who can't afford private college fees.

UVCE is another home for four years.
Placements: More than 90% of the students in our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 50 LPA. The company which offered this was an Australia-based company, Atlassian. The lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA, and the average ranged between 5 LPA and 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Atlassian, Dell, Cisco, Infosys, Wipro, SAP, Oracle, Philips, Adobe, Bosch, etc. Most of the companies also provide internships.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are not luxurious. The library facilities are good. Free Wi-Fi is also there. The college buildings are being renovated. The campus is so cool and amazing. The apparatuses in the labs are old. The hostel is good. They will celebrate Hostel Day. Sports competitions will also be conducted in the hostel.
Faculty: Self-study matters a lot. Lecturers don't take the classes most of the time. They will teach you something and give you some notes. Some teachers teach well. Exams will not be very difficult. We can pass the exams with good marks. All students will get a good CGPA.
Other: We can have a lot of free time on the campus. The crowd can be seen at the canteen. There will be so many fests through which the students can enjoy a lot and can have the best experiences. IEEE and other student clubs conduct many events frequently. So many workshops will be provided where we can gain knowledge. There is no ragging. Seniors will be friendly and helpful. UVCE teaches you a lot.

The college has good placement and a nice environment. You should learn things on your own.
Placements: The placement in our college is pretty good. Almost 96 percent of CSE students got placed in 2022. In fact, ISE has had 100 percent placement for three years. The highest in 2022 was 58 LPA, and in 2023, I think it was around 45 LPA. Companies like IBM, Cognizant, and Dell visit us. Our college's placement is good because of the strong alumni network it has.
Infrastructure: The college is like heaven, with a healthy environment and surrounded by nature, amidst the busy city center. The infrastructure is good, but the facilities, I think, are average. The hostel is also heavenly. Once you get settled, the food in the hostel is good and costs only 90 per day, which is impressive.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but I think the quality is average. If you ask them questions, they will answer you with depth of knowledge. The course follows the NEP syllabus. I think the curriculum is not very relevant, but we have a lot of free time, so we can learn much. However, the college does not spoon-feed you.
Other: There are many fests like Kagada, Impetus, and others that you will enjoy a lot. There are also many clubs to help you gain additional skills.

The college is absolutely good for placements, and the campus is good too.
Placements: In UVCE, computer science department, 72 out of 80 students have been already placed as they are still in 6th semester mid-way. It sounds good opting for this college. The maximum package is 50 LPA offered for only 4-5 students, and the average package is up to 10-15 LPA, and the minimum package is 2-3 Lacs per annum. In our batch, 2 members got selected for Dell internships with a stipend and some for Alkaine company, Infosys and many other companies. Around 20% of students are selected for internships from this batch. Wallmart, SAP, Australian-Based, TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Dell and many other top companies offered placements here.
Infrastructure: Only one canteen is available on campus, that is Nandini parlour. Coming to labs, management has renovated the college, including labs, and they are working in a good way, not up to the level but manageable for lab programs. Unlimited data is available for students.
Faculty: There is no difficulty in passing semester exams, you can only study 3 days before exams and get 8+ CGPA. Highly qualified and well-experienced lecturers are available here. They are very humble. TPO will make students learn innovative things, interacting with people, new programming languages etc.
Other: I have chosen UVCE for the sake of placements. The very first thing about CSE is, everything is being igitalised, meta versing, updating themselves to be a standard one. Hence, it is thoughtful to focus on the new beginning. Here, we would have atleast one event every year like Flutter, Google Devops clubs, IEEE events that organise new fests which make a way to boost students. The campus is good and has a better environment too. Scholarships are provided, around 10,000 to 12,000.

Make a good choice, make a good career. Join UVCE.
Placements: This year around 87% of all students admitted to final year have got placed in various companies. The highest package in UVCE is 58 LPA till now. The average package for IT branches is 10lpa and for core branches it is 6-7 LPA. Top recruiters for my course are SAP labs, Deutsche bank, Rakuten, Iron mountains and juniper network. Around 70% of final year students got internship.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure st UVCE is poor. There is enough place to accommodate students for lectures but when compared to other colleges in Bangalore, the area of campus is too less. Shortage of Staff, poor lab facilities. Hostel food is quite good and the new hostel building for boys is amazing. Very less scope for sports and games in college.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable enough. The teaching is quite good. The course is relevant enough to make prepare the students for industry standards. The exams are very ease. Very few people fails in exams. Passing percent is 40%. .
Other: I chose this course because it is in very high demand in Bangalore. The best thing about my course is its best placement opportunities. There are 4 major fest in college. 2 tech and 2 cultural. It's very fun during the fests.
