UCEED Cut-off 2025 - IIT Bombay will release the cut-off marks for UCEED 2025 (Part A) on February 6, 2025.
The Part A cut-off will be used to shortlist candidates. Note that Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only of the candidate has qualified Part A. Further, total marks and category-wise UCEED 2025 merit ranks will only be issued to candidates who meet the Part A cut-off. In case of candidates who fail to meet the cut-off, the UCEED 2025 scorecard will only include Part A marks.
The cut-off will be released in the form of mean and standard deviation.
Meanwhile, the cut-off marks for the 1st round of UCEED 2025 seat allotment on April 21, 2025.
The cut-off will be released category-wise for all the participating colleges and include the opening and closing ranks for admission to the B.Des program.
IIT Bombay will separate cut-offs for each of the UCEED 2025 seat-allotment rounds.

Q: What is UCEED Part A qualifying cut-off?
The UCEED 2025 question paper will have two parts - Part A and Part B. The Part B answer booklet will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies Part A or meet the cut-off. The qualifying cut-off for Part A will be determined by the admission committee and will be used to shortlist candidates for Part A. All candidates who qualifies Part A will be allocated a merit rank and total score. Further, candidates who are allocated merit ranks are eligible to participate in the counseling process. Note that Part A cut-off is not the admission cut-off.
Q: What is UCEED 2025 admission cut-off?
The admission cut-off for UCEED 2025 will be released at the time of seat allotment. It is the minimum marks a candidate needs to secure in their category for admission to the B. Des programme. Note that the admission cut-off would be prepared category. Also, there will be a total of three seat allotment round, and for each round a cut-off would be released. Candidates who meet the cut-off criteria would be considered for admission. On the other hand, if the candidate fails to meet the cut-off, he or she will not be considered for admission. It is important for candidates to not cons fuse the admission cut-off with the qualifying cut-off, which is only used to shortlist candidates for evaluation of Part B.
Q: When will cut-off marks be released for UCEED 2025 Part A?
IIT Bombay release the cut-off marks for Part A in the 2nd week of February 2025.
The cut-off will be released in the form of standard and mean deviations. The mean and standard deviation for Part-A (CEED 2024) was 41.90 and 16.72, respectively. In comparision, the mean deviation was 22.59, while the standard deviation was 11.82 for CEED 2023.
The cut-off is used to the shortest candidates; note that Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only for shortlisted candidates.
Additionally, all shortlisted candidates will be issued a merit rank, and so will be eligible to participate in the seat allotment process.

UCEED 2025 Admission Cut-off Vs Qualifying Cutoff
The qualifying cutoff is prepared by considering UCEED 2025 Part A marks. Candidates securing the cutoff marks in Part A are shortlisted and their Part B paper is evaluated. Also, only shortlisted candidates are issued UCEED 2025 merit ranks.
On the other hand, the admission cut-off for UCEED 2025 is the minimum mark a candidate needs to secure in the UCEED 2025 exam to be considered for seat allotment and admission.
Also, the admission cutoff will be institute-specific.

The Part A cut-off marks will be used to shortlist candidates. Part B answer booklets will be evaluated only for shortlisted candidates. It may be noted that to participate in the UCEED 2025 counseling process, the candidate needs to have a merit rank. The cut-off marks for Part A will be released around the 2nd week of February 2025.

The admission cut-off for UCEED 2025 will be released on April 21, 2025.

Q: What is the process that will be used to prepare Part A UCEED 2025 qualifying cut-off?
The qualifying cut-off for UCEED 2025 will be prepared based on the following formulae: Marks obtained in Part-A will be used to shortlist candidates. The cutoffs (Delta) for Part-A marks to shortlist candidates in the OPEN category will be Mu+ (sigma/2) = Delta, where Mu and sigma are the average marks and standard deviation of distribution of marks obtained by ALL the candidates in Part-A of UCEED 2025. The Mu, sigma, and Delta will be rounded-off to two decimal places. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories shall have to fulfil a relaxed cut-off mark, which will be 0.9Delta for OBC-NCL/EWS, 0.5Delta for SC/ST/PwD, where Delta is the cut-off mark for OPEN category.
Q: When will the UCEED 2025 application form open?
The application form for UCEED 2025 is now closed.
The last date to apply with regular fee was October 31; with late fees, applications were accepted till November 18, 2024.
IIT Bombay opened the application form for UCEED 2025 on October 1, 2024. It also launched a new website and released the admission notification.

If you have six months to prepare for UCEED and not an year, you need to be judicious with your time and prepare smart. Here are a few tips to prepare for the exam in six months: Make a study time table. Take note of weightage carried by various sections, and dedicate time accordingly. Another point to note is the difficulty level of the exam. Get going with your preparation without any delay. Take notes during study; this exercise will not only help you stay focused, but jot down all the important points. These notes will also come in handy for quick revision. Solve sample papers and take mock tests.
Q: Whom should I contact if I have any problem with UCEED registration?
Candidates can report any issue faced while filling the UCEED application form by clicking the 'Report Problem' tab that is present on the right side of the application window. The tab is highlighted in yellow colour. On clicking the tab, candidates have to elaborate on the problem that they are experiencing and also mention their registration number. It is recommended that the candidate don't wait for the dying hour to fill the form. It is because in the last few hours of the application window, there is a chance the server may crash or there may be a lag due to heavy traffic.
Q: After submitting UCEED 2025 application fee, can I cancel the application form and get a refund?
No, candidates will not be given a refund for UCEED 2025 application fee under any circumstance. UCEED application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. So, before paying the application fee, the candidate needs to make up their minds whether they want to appear in the UCEED 2025 exam or not. The UCEED 2025 application fee is INR 4000 for open, and INR 2000 for female and reserved category candidates.
UCEED 2025 - Shortlisting of Candidates
Shortlisting: Marks obtained in Part-A will be used to shortlist candidates. The UCEED question paper will be of 3 hours and include two parts - The computer-based Part A and the offline-based Part B. It is mandatory for candidates to appear in both the paper.
Also, Part B paper answer booklets will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A. IIT Bombay will release the cut-off marks for Part A before the declaration of results.
Part A will include the following types of questions: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Multiple Select Question (MSQ) Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). Part A will now include 57 questions.

Q: When will the UCEED 2025 exam be conducted?
IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2025 exam on January 19, 2025 (9 am - 12 noon).
IIT Bombay has released the detailed admission schedule, including exam dates and application process.
The exam will be conducted in 27 cities aross India. Part A will be offline-based, while Part B will be conducted offline.
The application form commences on October 1, 2024.
Q: When will the UCEED 2025 application form open?
The application form for UCEED 2025 is now closed.
The last date to apply with regular fee was October 31; with late fees, applications were accepted till November 18, 2024.
IIT Bombay opened the application form for UCEED 2025 on October 1, 2024. It also launched a new website and released the admission notification.

The candidate had the option to apply for UCEED 2025 both with regular and late fees.
UCEED application form is for admission to the B. Des programme offered by participating colleges. Candidates who met the prescribed eligibility criteria were able to apply for admission.
Q: What are the important topics candidates need to prepare for Part A of UCEED 2025?
The UCEED 2025 question paper will have two parts - 1) the computer-based Part A and 2) drawing and aptitude-based Part B. To prepare for Part A, the candidate needs to focus on the following topics: Visualization and spatial reasoning: Ability to visualise and transform 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships. Practical and scientific knowledge: Know-how of scientific principles and everyday objects. Observation and design sensitivity: Capacity to detect concealed properties in day-to-day life and think critically about them. Attention to details, classification, analysis, inference and prediction. Environment and society: General awareness of environmental, social and cultural connections with design. Analytical and logical reasoning: Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative information. Language: Proficiency in reading and comprehending Standard English . Creativity: Grasp of verbal and non-verbal analogies, metaphors, signs and symbols.

No, one can not join IDC IIT Bombay without qualifying UCEED for B.Des. The eligibility criteria for getting admission into the college is that one should have passed the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent ) from the recognised Board/Examination.

The Department of Design, IITD, is set ton introduce a B.Tech in Design program from the upcoming admission session.
It will have an intake of 20 students in the first batch. It is a 4 year program. The intake will be based on JEE advanced merit rank.

The counseling for UCEED 2025 will commence on March 14, 2025. The counseling process will have five seat allotment rounds.
The candidate is allowed to withdraw seats till the 4th round of counseling. However, after the announcement of the last round of seat allocation, an option to withdraw/decline
