B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2025

It is a promising college to start from.
Placements: For the batch of 2025, from a total batch strength of 502 students, around 50 students got placed. The placement number includes both on-campus and off-campus placements. Following the trend of previous years, the number is expected to increase and reach at least 300 by next year. Many students got internship opportunities in top companies like Microsoft, Qualcomm, and Intel. Many IT-related companies like Deloitte, Accenture, and others have been hiring students from this campus. The highest salary package offered by Arista Netwrok on-campus is 19 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of PES has always been a source of pride. The newly built GJBC block offers excellent facilities. It has numerous canteens with a variety of food items. It provides amenities like a gymnasium, several conference rooms, two auditoriums, a huge 3-court basketball arena, a squash arena, a badminton court, and attractive rooms like a music room. The entire campus is equipped with Wi-Fi. It has a beautiful 3-storeyed library along with two older libraries. Our college has some of the best available amenities.
Faculty: Our faculty members are quite knowledgeable. Their experience brings ease and discipline. Most of them have over 15 years of teaching experience. Their dedication and support to students are commendable. All courses are designed and updated every year to match industry requirements. Electronics and communications is one of the most difficult courses on campus. It is well-supported by friendly and knowledgeable faculty members.
Other: The course with the highest return on investment would be computer science engineering. If students are interested in exploring electronics and communications and have a passion for it, then many great opportunities are possible at this college. The administration is quite focused on improving the campus experience and making a positive impact on our lives. Overall, it is a good place to start.

Explore the institute before the course .
Placements: The college placements has been very good for CS AI, and EC branch over the years. The circuit branches have also had good placements, but not as compared to CS in this college. Around 75–85% of students get placed with packages lying between 4.5 and 45 LPA every year. Also, some very good companies like Adobe, samsung, atlassian, and Siemens Microsoft visits every year but the quantity of students they select is less and mass recruiters like TCS and Infosys also visit campus ( heard from my seniors).
Infrastructure: The infrastructure has been excellent in the campus but the campus is really small. The newly built blocks are very attractive and the canteen offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and is good only being scholars. I don't know about the mess food, but the Wi-Fi is for each block with good quality and unique Wi-Fi IDs are provided for each and every student .
Faculty: The faculty is average (some are excellent, some are average, and some are bad). The curriculum is excellent, as they review it each and every semester, and sometimes they remove the core of the syllabus if it is irrelevant (as heard from my seniors). The way they conduct the exams is very good in hybrid mode, and the pattern is also good, but the lack of gaps or holidays between the exams during semester exams makes it very hectic and difficult for students.
Other: I had a personal wish to join this course. The faculty is also nice (Avrg). And the clubs are also active throughout the semester but become inactive during the start of exams, but the huge crowd on campus makes it very competitive to get placed in the club.

Not what I expected it to be.
Placements: As a fresher, I don't know a lot of seniors. But from the things I have heard from most of them, the placements are really good. But the most important part is played by your CGPA here. A good CGPA means good job placement with higher annual income.
Infrastructure: The college provided good classroom and lab facilities. The hostel rooms are decent compared to other hostels. There are four canteens on the campus, and the quality of the food is good. The campus is clean and huge. We have small stalls for snacks and stationery inside the campus.
Faculty: There are two in-sem exams and one end-sem exam conducted in each semester. Most of the faculty members are friendly. Portions are hectic, and scoring is tough. Getting a scholarship in the first year is tough because of the competition among all the first years.
Other: There are no fests conducted regularly. Just one fest per semester. The crowd is fine, but you'll come across mostly nerds. No other interesting activities were conducted after the first month as a fresher. Only focused on studies. It's not worth joining if you're looking for fun and studies.

A Comprehensive Review of PES University.
Placements: PES University typically has a high placement rate of around 70 to 100% on campus for various courses. The highest package was around 50 LPA, the lowest was 9 LPA, and the average package is around 12 LPA. BOSCH, WIPRO, TCS, MAHINDRA, and ACCENTURE recruit from here. Around 60% of the students got internships from the campus itself. Roles such as software engineer, data analyst, marketing executive, mechanical engineer, and electrical engineer are offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is very good in the hostel as well as in the college. Labs are very aesthetic, and every classroom contains smart classrooms. For the library, there are 2 libraries where you can find multi-authors and interesting books about courses as well as novels, science fiction, historical fiction, etc. Food quality is quite nice, but there are some weird food menu cuisines that are a little bad, but you will get used to them after some time.
Faculty: The faculty is very friendly, and they provide us with enough or more than enough materials as per the exam point of view, but they also provide us with life skills, tell us a little about philosophy, and treat us like we are their kids. The faculty is very good and quite nice. They give us more than enough information for the industry that we are pursuing. The semester exams are designed to test the knowledge, understanding, and practical thinking skills of the student. The college has no pass percentage; we have SGPAs (per semester grading system), but it is mandatory to maintain an SGPA above 7.5 per semester.

Campus life at PES University .
Placements: In 2023 placement was good but in 2024 it was not up to the PES standards, top companies like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Palo Alto, Attlasian and others visited our college and 80% of the students got placed especially CSE students and for other branches it is difficult to get placed.
Infrastructure: PES University has a big cricket ground, labs, library. Infrastructure is good and now they have built new parking place for both bike and car. Labs and classrooms are well maintained. As I haven't lived in hostel so I don't know much about hostel life and food quality but canteen food is good.
Faculty: Curriculum is good and different from vtu syllabus but major drawback of this college is it's teachers, they are not helpful and they don't reply for students mails and messages, but the courses are good and gives practical knowledge and it is easier to score more than 8CGPA if you are a CSE student but it will be difficult for other branch students especially for ECE.

The main branch of PES (the one in Banshankri) no longer takes admission through COMEDK. The South Branch does take admission through COMEDK. More details: https://admissionblock.com/

You can refer the previous years of COMEDK. But, PESSAT may be a little tuff compared to COMEDK.
