GATE Admit Card 2025: IIT Roorkee will conduct the GATE 2025 examination on 1, 2, 15, and 16 February 2025. The branch-wise exam dates have been announced on the official website. Registrations and correction facilities for the GATE exam have been closed. The GATE 2025 Admit card will be released on January 2, 2025. Candidates can download the GATE 2025 exam admit card from the GOAPS portal. To download the admit card, candidates must provide their Enrollment ID and password. The GATE hall ticket is an essential document for writing the GATE exam. It serves as identity proof for the candidate for the exam. The GATE 2025 hall ticket will contain important details about the candidate, such as the candidate’s photo, signature, enrollment number, exam city, exam timings, papers, etc. 

Candidates must download the GATE 2025 admit card before the exam date and keep it safe. The candidates must carry their GATE admit card to the test centre. Candidates' identification proof will also be required to appear for the exam. Hence, the candidates must bring their GATE hall ticket 2025 to the exam centre and proof of original and valid ID

The candidate must produce the GATE 2025 exam hall ticket to the examination centre officials with a valid government photo identity card. Otherwise, the candidate will be denied entry into the examination hall, and the GATE conducting authorities will not take responsibility for this event. A valid photo identity card can be any government-issued card such as an AADHAR CARD, PAN CARD, VOTER ID CARD, DRIVING LICENSE, VALID COLLEGE ID, etc.

Q:   When will the GATE 2025 registration start?

A:

IIT Roorkee has REVISED the GATE 2025 application form dates. As per the revised schedule, GATE 2025 registrations had started on 28 August, 2024. The last date for GATE 2025 registration have been extended to October 3, 2024 (without late fees). Earlier, candidates had to submit the application form by 26 September 2024, with regular fees. Candidates will be able to submit the GATE 2025 application form with late fees until October 11, 2024 (extended).

Candidates can complete information by clicking on the given link: GATE 2025 Application form. To enroll for the GATE exam, candidates have to pay a requisite fee of INR 900 (for female/SC/ST/PWD candidates) and INR 1800 (for other candidates) during the regular period. A late fee of INR 500 is charged for candidates applying after October 3, 2024.

How to Download GATE 2025 Admit card?

The GATE 2025 admit card is an important document, as it serves as identity proof for the candidates appearing for the exam. Candidates must know that the GATE 2025 admit card can be downloaded only from the official website, GOAPS Portal 2025. It can’t be downloaded from any external website/source. IIT Roorkee, in the GATE 2025 official brochure, has announced the dates for the admit card. Candidates can download the GATE 2025 admit card on January 2, 2025.

Step 2: Log in to the GOAPS portal through Enrollment ID and Password.

Step 4: Admit card will appear on the screen, download in PDF format.

Q:   How can I retrieve my password to download the GATE admit card?

A:
One can follow the below-mentioned steps to retrieve the forgotten password or Enrollment ID: - Visit the official website, click on login and then click on Forgot Enrollment ID or Password. A:

No, candidates must carry a coloured printout of the GATE admit card on an A4-sized sheet. It will help the staff of the exam centre verify candidates with his/her picture. The GATE hall ticket is a necessary document that must be carried in the examination hall for verification along with the original and valid photo identity document (no photocopy / scanned copy / an expired document), which was specified during the filling up of the online application. What to do if your Enrollment ID/ Password is lost?

Candidates need not panic if they have forgotten the GATE enrollment number and password. Candidates can easily retrieve the Enrollment ID and password through a given mobile number and e-mail. 

Steps to retrieve Enrollment ID: 

When retrieving their enrollment IDs, candidates must keep their mobile number and email ID details handy. 

  • Visit the GOAPS Candidate login page 
  • Click on the “Forgot Enrollment” 
  • The website will ask you to fill in your registered mobile number or email. 
  • OTP verification can be done to check the credibility of mobile number/email 
  • The Enrollment Number will be sent to the registered mobile number or email. 

Steps to retrieve Password: 

Candidate can follow the below steps to retrieve the password: 

  • Visit the GOAPS candidate's login page 
  • Click on “Forgot Password” 
  • The website will require a registered mobile number/email 
  • OTP verification will be done to check the credibility of the provided details 
  • A link to change the password will be sent to the registered mobile number/email 
  • Candidates need to fill in a new password twice and save the changed password. 

However, a candidate can retrieve the password or enrollment ID through the GATE GOAPS portal. Still, it is recommended that they keep their enrollment ID and Password safe and secure and avoid changing the password multiple times.

GATE Admit Card 2025: Important points to remember 

The GATE 2025 hall ticket comprises of the exam, candidate, and instruction details that the applicant must strictly follow. Here are the list of the instructions that candidate must keep in mind -

  • Candidates must present the printed (hard) copy of the GATE hall ticket 2025 in the exam hall. Candidates with an electronic (soft) copy will be denied entry into the exam hall. 
  • Candidates must not carry any other items, such as mobile phones, calculators, etc., except those mentioned above (GATE exam instructions), else they will not be able to continue the GATE exam. 
  • Candidates must carry an original photo identity card. The candidate’s photo in the photo ID should be clearly visible and match the candidate's appearance on the admit card. 
  • Exam Conducting authority will not provide any duplicate admit card for GATE 2025 either offline or online in the examination center. 
  • Candidates will not be allowed any delayed entry due to whatever reason; the Candidate will not be given entry if it comes later than the allotted time in the GATE 2025 hall ticket. 
  • Candidates must know that the GATE 2025 admit card will not be issued to candidates whose application forms are incomplete or rejected due to any issue
  • Candidates should not carry any electronic gadgets in the examination hall, if caught their candidature will be suspended.

GATE Admit card 2025: Exam Day Guidelines 

Candidates can follow these guidelines to avoid issues in the GATE 2025 examination.

  • Candidate must schedule the journey to reach the exam centre at least 60 minutes before the allotted time.  
  • Candidates must leave early to avoid any trouble caused by traffic or other minor issues since delayed entry is strictly restricted. 
  • Candidates must remember to carry their GATE 2025 hall ticket and photo identity card and recent passport-size photograph. 
  • Candidates must carry blue or black ballpoint pens with them. 
  • Candidates can’t leave the examination premises before the conclusion of the GATE 2025 exam. 
  • Students are not allowed to carry their calculators. GATE 2025 Virtual scientific calculators will be available on the computer screen. 

GATE 2025 Admit card: Facilities for Candidates with scribe 

Candidates with benchmark disability can avail themselves of the scribe's facility. The facility scribe is meant for only those PwD candidates with benchmark disability (not less than 40% disability) and physical writing limitations, including speed. Candidates can read below essential points related to scribes below; 

  • Candidates must know that a scribe will be provided only on the production of a certificate stating that the person concerned has physical limitations to write, as given in the GATE 2025 information brochure. 
  • In the case of a person with a benchmark disability (not less than 40% disability) in the categories of blindness, locomotor disability (both arms affected-BA), and cerebral palsy, the facility of a scribe shall be allowed on advance request only. 
  • Dyslexic candidates can hire scribes, provided they submit a proper dyslexic certificate issued by the competent authorities. 
  • Candidates having less than 40% disability and having difficulty in writing are required to send an email seeking compensatory time/Scribe Assistance to pwd.gate@iitr.ac.in mentioning their Name, enrollment ID and mobile number. The subject of the email should be “Compensatory Time/Scribe Assistance under section 2(s)”

Q:   Are students allowed to bring a soft copy of the GATE Admit Card (in mobile phone/tablet/laptop) to gain entry to the exam hall?

No, only the hard copy of the admit card (printed in colour) is allowed for entry in the exam hall along with an original Photo ID.
