Types of Hindi Courses-UG & PG
Hindi, also called Modern Standard Hindi is related to language studies. Hindi courses are of various types from Hindi Certificate courses, Diploma in Hindi, BA in Hindi, MA in Hindi, PhD in Hindi and so on. The duration and eligibility of these Hindi courses may vary as per the types of course selected by the candidates. Hindi courses can be of a few months to 5 years. Candidates of any stream can opt for Hindi courses. Candidates who aspire to take Hindi for higher studies need to have a pass certificate at UG or PG level in Hindi.

Distance Hindi Courses – UG
BA in Hindi or Distance Hindi courses at UG level is the course which are studied at graduation level through distance mode. Areas of topic focused in BA Hindi are Hindi Literature of both modern and past era, history of Hindi communication skills. There are many colleges in India that provide BA Hindi like IGNOU, Delhi, Venkateshwara Open University, Naharlagun, Nalanda Open University, Patna and many more.
Online Hindi Courses -UG
There are many institutes and colleges that provide online Hindi courses at undergraduate level. The online Hindi courses are designed such that all the important topics and syllabus can be covered. These are flexible courses and candidates can choose the course as per their time and availability from any location. The duration of an online Hindi course can be from a few hours to a few weeks.
Hindi Certification Courses
Certificate courses are also available in Hindi. It is a 1-year Certificate course that focus on Language and fundamental aspects of Hindi Literature. Certification course in Hindi includes subjects like communication skills, history of Hindi literature, contemporary Hindi literature etc. There are no eligibility criteria to get admission to this course. Candidates above 12 years age and an Indian native can apply for the course.
Hindi Degree Courses – PG
MA in Hindi is a 2-year postgraduate course. The course focuses mainly on specialisation and the study of Hindi Literature. MA Hindi course helps students to study the subject in depth. Main topics focuses under this subject are History of Hindi Literature, Translation, Short story, Novel etc. This degree course teaches student how to be proficient in the language. It also includes various aspects of teaching like teaching methods, educational technology etc.
Distance Hindi Courses – PG
Hindi course at postgraduate level is a 2-year duration course. This course is best suited for them who cannot take the regular course. The main emphasis of this course is on subject areas like Hindi Literature, Linguistics and Philosophy. In order to get admission in Hindi course at PG level, candidates need to have a bachelor's degree in Hindi.
Online Hindi Courses –PG
Hindi courses at PG level are also available in online mode. There are many colleges and portals that offer Hindi courses at PG level in online mode. This course is best for those candidates who are unable to take a full-time course. This course may also include live or recorded classes. The duration of this course may vary from a few hours to a few weeks.
