Q:   Has BCI released list of AIBE 2024 test centres?

A:

Yes, BCI has released the list of AIBE XIX 2024 test centres. The test centres list has been released along with the official AIBE 19 Notification. Candidates have to provide choice for AIBE 2024 centre while applying for the exam. A maximum of three options can be declared for exam city choice. BCI provide the exam centre to candidate along with the admit card for AIBE 2024. Once allotted, candidates request to change the exam centre will not entertained.

Q:   How will I know about the AIBE exam centre allotted to me?

A:

AIBE exam centre 2024 will be allotted along with the admit card. Candidates are advised to check the admit card to know about the exam centre and other crucial details. Apart from name and address of allotted AIBE exam centre, the admit card comprises details such as exam date, timing, exam day guidelines etc. Date for admit card release is published along with the information brochure on the official website. Candidates have to download the admit card for AIBE 2024 after logging and providing details such as application ID, password and others. 

Q:   What documents do I need to carry at AIBE Exam centre?

A:

Candidates will have to carry a printed copy of barcodded admit card with recent photograph on it to the exam centre of AIBE Exam Centre. In addition to admit card, they will have to bring photocopy of permanent / provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration which is retained at the centre. They also have to bring one of the original photo identity proofs such as Aadhaar, Pan card, Driving license, Passport, Voter ID etc. In case one brings e Aadhaar card at the centre, that should be good quality print out with clear photograph on it.

  • Comfortable Clothing:

Candidates should wear formal or semi-formal clothing, such as shirts, trousers, skirts, or simple dresses. Jeans and t-shirts are generally acceptable, but it’s better to keep it simple and professional.

  • No Accessories:

Q:   Can I change the AIBE Exam centre after release of admit card?

A:

No, BCI did not entertain any such request to change AIBE Exam centre once the admit card was released. This is the reason, candidates were advised to choose the exam centre for AIBE very carefully while filling application form for the exam. Once the application form for AIBE was submitted, there was no way to change the exam centre. Candidates were apprised about the allotment of AIBE exam centre through the admit card which had to be downloaded from the official website.

Q:   How many city preferences can a candidate submit while selecting AIBE center?

A:

Candidates can submit maximum 3 preferences for AIBE centre. Choosing preference for exam centre is mandatory to submit AIBE application. Candidates will get to know about allotment of exact centre once the admit card is released. BCI releases admit card online comprising crucial details about exam including name and address of AIBE centre. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website after its release. To download AIBE admit card, candidates need application ID, password, and Exam Unique Code (EUC).

Q:   What is AIBE 19 (XIX) Exam Date?

A:

AIBE 19 Exam 2024 date has been revised. The AIBE Exam 2024 will be held on December 22, 2024. Only those candidates who are enrolled with any state bar council are eligible to apply. AIBE 19 Exam will be conducted in 11 regional languages including english. The AIBE Exam 2024 will be conducted in offline, pen-and-paper mode acorss the country.

Q:   Are Bare Acts allowed in AIBE 19 (XIX) 2024?

A:

Yes, Bare Acts will be allowed in the AIBE examination. All India Bar Examination website stated that " Bare Acts without notes are allowed. In case of unavailability of Bare Acts without notes, Bare Acts with least short notes will be allowed subject to the discretion of the Examiner/Invigilator".

Candidates were not allowed to carry books, any electronic items to the exam centre. AIBE is no more an open-book exam. The exam was held in 50+ cities across the country.

Q:   What are the important subjects for AIBE 2024?

A:
AIBE question paper will carry 100 objective-type questions, however, there are some subjects with higher weightage over the others, For example Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure Code, and Civil Procedure Code will carry 10 questions each. While IPC, Indian Evidence ACT Family Law, Law of Contracts, SRA, NIA, will carry 8 marks each. Avoid wearing excessive jewelry, watches, or large accessories as they may not be allowed in the examination hall for security reasons. Headgear like hats, caps, and scarves are generally not permitted unless for religious or medical reasons.

  • No Electronics:

Ensure that no electronic devices (like smartwatches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices) are worn or brought to the exam hall.

  • Weather-Appropriate Attire:

   - Dress according to the weather conditions, but avoid bulky clothes that may obstruct the exam process. Light jackets or sweaters may be worn but should be easily removable for security checks.

  • Religious or Cultural Attire

If you wear religious attire (like a headscarf, turban, or specific cultural clothing), make sure it is permissible as long as it does not obstruct the exam process. Candidates are advised to check any specific instructions on the official AIBE 19 admit card for any additional guidelines. Non-compliance with the dress code could lead to delays or disqualification.

AIBE 19 Exam Day Guidelines 2024 and Important Instructions

Candidates appearing for AIBE 19 (XIX) 2024 must follow the instructions related to the admit card and other required documents as outlined below:

  • Admit Card:

Ensure that you carry a color printout of the AIBE 19 2024 admit card. It should be clear and crisp, with no faded text or marks. The admit card should be in good condition—not twisted, torn, or turned. Do not write anything on the admit card, including any marks or dots.

  • Photo Identity Proof:

 Bring a valid photo ID proof issued by a government-approved authority. Acceptable documents include:

     - Voter ID

     - Aadhaar Card

     - PAN Card

     - Passport

     - Driver's License

     - Enrollment ID issued by State Bar Councils.

  • Photographs:

Carry two recent passport-size photographs (matching the photo on your admit card) for identification purposes, in case they are requested by the exam authorities. Make sure to follow all these instructions carefully to avoid any issues on the exam day.

Carry a Blue/Black Ball Point Pen to fill the OMR answer sheet for AIBE 2023 

Don’t carry any stationary item other than a pen. Don’t carry electronic items including mobile phones, pager, watch, ipad and calculator.

Two copies of AIBE 18 admit card

Don’t carry eatables inside the exam venue.

Photo ID and a passport size photo

Don’t reach late. Gates will be closed at 9:50 AM.

Self-attest self-delaration form before reaching the test centre.

Don’t carry anything with yourself while coming out of the test room.

Reach the AIBE exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.

Don’t resist frisking or identification procedures at the exam centre.

Wear simple outfits with plain cardigans and sweaters.

 

Don’t wear jewellery and jacket on the exam day.

Submit a copy of admit card and rough sheets to the invigilator.

 

Are Bare Acts Allowed in AIBE Exam

Yes, Bare Acts will be permitted in the AIBE 19 (XIX) exam. The Bar Council of India (BCI) will allow Bare Acts without short notes. Candidates should adhere to the following guidelines regarding the Bare Acts:

  • Bare Acts without Short Notes (First Preference)
  • Photocopies of Bare Acts without Short Notes
  • Downloaded/Printed Copies of Bare Acts without Short Notes
  • Bare Acts with Short Notes or Minimal Notes (If Bare Acts without notes are unavailable)

Important Note: Candidates must ensure that no markings or notes are written on the Bare Act or its copies. Any such writing will result in the Bare Act being disallowed in the exam, and the candidate will be asked to leave it outside the examination hall.
