AIBE or Bar Exam India is conducted by BCI under Advocates Act 1961, for "admission of persons to be advocates and to further regulate the entry and over all conduct of Advocates in the profession by laying down standards of professional conduct and etiquettes for advocates." The exam is held in a standardised manner, where candidates have to attempt the question paper within 3 hours 30 minutes. The question paper of AIBE is based on core subjects of law such as - Constitutional Law, IPC, CrPC, IEA, Family Law, PIL, Administration, pre-eminent SC judgements, professional ethics and more. Candidates who qualify the examination as per the minimum requirements are issued 'Certificate of Practice' to continue their practice at the courts of law. 

Q:   How to get previous years papers for AIBE 2024?

A:
Earlier, the exam authority provided the question paper of AIBE English language) on the official website. However, after vernacular languages have been included in the question paper, the exam authority no longer uploads the question paper on the official website of AIBE. Rather, it is available only with those who attempt the examination. Candidates who take the examination are only able to view it when raising objections on it at the time of answer keys objection process. Q:   Is there any dress code for AIBE exam?

A:

No, Bar Council of India has not prescribed any dress code for this examination. However, candidates are expected to wear comfortable clothing on the day of the examination. Candidates are advised to read all the guidelines mentioned on the AIBE 2024 admit card carefully so that there is no hassles at last moment at exam centre. Candidates are advised to arrange important documents to be carried at the centre in advance. AIBE 2024 Exam wil be held in pen-paper based mode.

All India Bar Exam Eligibility Criteria 2024 

The candidates who want to appear and qualify in AIBE must also fulfill the eligibility criteria to obtain COP. Some of the main elements of AIBE 2024 eligibility criteria are as under: 

  • Candidates who have passed a three-year LLB or five-year LLB degree are eligibility to appear for AIBE exam. 
  • A candidate must be registered with their State Bar Councils as an Advocate (Provisionally). As State Bar Council enrollment is mandatory for AIBE eligibility
  • Candidates not enrolled as an advocate with the SBC, will not be able to apply for AIBE 2024. 

AIBE Application Dates 2024

The BCI released the AIBE 19 Registration Date. As per the AIBE 19 (XIX) application form dates candidates could fill the AIBE 19 Application Form 2024 until November 15, 2024. Candidates who were eligible to appear for AIBE 2024 could complete AIBE 19 Registration by visiting the official website of BCI; i.e. barcouncilofindia.org.

Candidates could submit the AIBE Application Form 2024 on or before the last date. To fill the AIBE 2024 application form, candidates had to enter their name, mobile number, email ID, SBC enrollment number and date of birth. Once registered, candidates could fill the application form of AIBE 2024 as under:

Q:   Are Bare Acts allowed in AIBE 19 (XIX) 2024?

A:

Yes, Bare Acts will be allowed in the AIBE examination. All India Bar Examination website stated that " Bare Acts without notes are allowed. In case of unavailability of Bare Acts without notes, Bare Acts with least short notes will be allowed subject to the discretion of the Examiner/Invigilator".

Candidates were not allowed to carry books, any electronic items to the exam centre. AIBE is no more an open-book exam. The exam was held in 50+ cities across the country.

Q:   When is the next AIBE exam in 2024?

A:

The next AIBE exam in 2024 will be AIBE 19 (XIX). The Bar Council of India (BCI) released the official notification for the exam on August 24, 2024. The AIBE 19 exam will be conducted on December 22, 2024. AIBE (All India Bar Examination) is a certification exam that assesses an advocate’s capability to practice law in India. Q:   Has BCI released list of AIBE 2024 test centres?

Yes, BCI has released the list of AIBE XIX 2024 test centres. The test centres list has been released along with the official AIBE 19 Notification. Candidates have to provide choice for AIBE 2024 centre while applying for the exam. A maximum of three options can be declared for exam city choice. BCI provide the exam centre to candidate along with the admit card for AIBE 2024. Once allotted, candidates request to change the exam centre will not entertained.

Q:   When will the Certificate of Practice' be issued to AIBE passed candidates?

A:
The Certificate of Practice' is generally issued within 30 days after the AIBE result declaration. However, it is available only after two months at the state bar councils. Candidates can download a digital copy using AIBESCOPE mobile application. AIBE Admit Card Date 2024

The Bar Council of India (BCI) will release the AIBE 19 Admit Card Date on December 15, 2024. The admit card of AIBE 19 is a mandatory document that candidates must carry with them on the day of the exam. Candidates must not forget their AIBE 19 Hall Ticket on exam day as they won't be allowed to appear in AIBE 19. The AIBE Admit Card 2024 will be released in online mode.

How to download AIBE 19 (XIX) Admit Card 2024?

Candidates can follow simple steps given below to download AIBE 19 (XIX) Hall Ticket:

  • Go to the AIBE admit card website - allindiabarexamination.com
  • Click on the admit card link given on the home screen
  • Login using the AIBE registration number and password
  • AIBE exam hall ticket 2024 will be displayed on the screen
  • Download and take a printout of the admit card

AIBE 19 Answer Key Date 2024 

The exam authority will first announce the AIBE 19 answer key through the official website of the All India Bar Examination. The provisional answer key for AIBE 19 will be released within two days after the exam concludes. Candidates can raise objections against the provisional answer key through an official window. Once the objections are reviewed, the final AIBE 19 answer key will be released. The objectives of the AIBE answer key are:

1. Providing a chance for candidates to cross-check their question papers.
2. Allowing the exam authority to verify candidates' concerns.
3. Maintaining transparency in the AIBE results.
4. Revising the minimum qualifying marks for AIBE if necessary.

The candidates who qualify AIBE 2024 will be issued Certificate of Practice. The COPs are generally issued within 60 days of AIBE results.
