CAT 2021 Exam: Last day Tips and Strategy
Have a Relaxed Day
It is very important to keep your mind free from stress. Many of you may not have been able to master each and every topic of VA, DILR and QA. Don’t worry about that. Be confident of all that you’ve studied and select questions from those areas only. Indulge in a recreational activity, spend time watching a film, TV series or reading something light.
Do Not Attempt Mock Test
Last day before the exam is not the day to attempt a mock test. A lot of candidates are tempted make a last attempt to assess their preparation level. Don’t do that. In case, the score of this last mock test is not as per expectation, it could unnecessarily stress you out or fill doubt in your head just before the exam. That’s not the state of mind with which one should attempt the CAT.
Go Through Important Formulae and Short Cut Tricks
The only reason you should pick up book a day before CAT exam is to revise important formulae and theorems. Take a look at the short notes and tricks for solving tough DI sets and Mathematical problems. Do it in the night before going to sleep if your exam slot is 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Those whose exam slots are afternoon and evening can give a last minute glance in the morning of exam day.
Check Last Years’ CAT Question Paper
Make your exam day strategy a day before CAT by glancing through previous year’s question paper. It will help you in understand which topics are more important in terms of marks weightage. The CAT question paper of the given year is usually based on the last year’s paper. Thus, the previous year’s CAT question paper is a good source to make plan for the exam -- which type of questions to attempt and which type to skip – based on your strengths and weaknesses.
Arrange Documents to Carry to the CAT Test Centre
Get two print outs of your CAT admit card 2021 in A4 size paper and affix your passport size photo on both copies. Keep aside a valid ID proof (Passport, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, College/University ID card) and arrange relevant certificates (medical, name change, and scribe certificates) to present at the CAT exam centre. Fill the self-declaration for COVID-19 attached with the admit card. Apart from these documents, the only items allowed inside the exam centre are facemask, personal hand sanitizer and personal water bottle. So arrange for the same a day before.
Sleep Early the Night Before
It is very important to have a good sleep the night before so that the mind is fresh and relaxed in the morning. Sleep for a minimum of eight hours. Wake up early and get ready to win the battle.
